update time! here goes...
I awoke feeling cold and stiff. Looking around, I saw Kristy asleep on Damian’s shoulder, and Damian’s head resting on top of her head. Keith’s arm still lay slack around my waist, and his mouth gaped open as he slept. As peaceful as it sounded, nobody looked it, even in sleep. The silence was unnerving. It was nearly dark in the room, with only a single, dimly-lit light in the middle of the ceiling. I couldn’t tell where we were; all I could see were the drab gray walls surrounding us and the hard floor on which we slept. There was no furniture or windows in the room; the emptiness exactly reflected my fear, confusion, and hopelessness about the situation. What did they want with all of us? I was the only one who saw them kill those people all those years ago, not Kristy, Keith, and Damian! And why were they kidnapping me now? And… I shuddered at my next thought. Why were they even keeping me alive? “Jenny?” came Keith’s voice, ending my morbid thoughts. “Are you okay?” I took a deep breath and faced him. He looked tired. I wanted to tell him everything … about how I got into this mess, how much I loved him, and how afraid I was that something would happen to us. To get started, I merely said, “Yeah, I’m fine,” and walked steadily over to his side.
There was nothing to do but wait. “What do we do now?” asked Damian. It had been hours since we all woke up, and nothing was happening. I did not know if this was a good or bad thing. “We just sit here,” answered Kristy. “The whole time I was here, they only came in once or twice a day to bring me food and let me use the bathroom. We just have to wait and see.” “What do they want with you?” I asked, irritated and restless. I began pacing about an hour before, and had not stopped since. “Why can’t they leave you three alone?” “Jenny, you need to sit down!” chided Kristy. “Yeah, save your strength,” agreed Keith. “For what?” I asked sharply. “We’re not getting out of here! Look around; there’s no way out.” “Jenny …” said Kristy, followed by silence. I continued my pacing. “If we knew what they wanted …” I trailed off, thinking out loud. “What happened to them after they got arrested?” asked Damian. “I never found out,” I said. “The prosecutor wanted me to testify, but the doctors and my mom wouldn’t let me. I just assumed they went to prison!” “Well then what do they want with you?” asked Keith. “I-I don’t know! If they wanted revenge, they could’ve just k-killed me. But why kidnap us?” Everyone just looked at me with no reply. Finally, Kristy said, “We don’t know.” I finally stopped my pacing to turn and look at the three of them. The confusion in their eyes was echoed in mine, as was the fear. If anything would happen to any of us, I would never forgive myself. I continued pacing once more in silence, but stopped abruptly as I heard a sound: footsteps. Coming our way. I looked again at my three friends, not with fear or confusion in my eyes, but a deep, penitent love. Even though I had only known Keith and Damian a few days, I felt so strongly for them and so sorry that they had to go through this whole terrifying situation. My last look to them was almost an apology, a farewell. It was almost like I knew what was coming. The three of them, breaking out of their paralysis at the sound, jumped up to meet me in the middle of the room. Keith slid his arms protectively around me, and I instinctively shrank closer to him. The footsteps neared. There was a loud, booming pound on the door; Kristy hid her face in Damian’s shoulder as a man shouted, “Everyone, get along the wall!” Nobody even thought to disobey. We scrambled back to where we were sitting before, and we stood rigid, waiting for the man to enter. The door clicked as he unlocked it, then slowly opened with a moan. When I saw the man without a ski mask on, my body went tense: I recognized him from the alley a few years ago. His face was contorted with anger, his deep-set eyebrows furrowed, and his dark tan skin was even darker in the dim light. He opened his mouth to speak, only this time, he was more menacing and infinitely more terrifying. “We’re gonna go have a little chat,” he said, looking in the direction of Keith and me. “What do you mean?” demanded Keith angrily. The man snarled, striding over to us. I cowered into Keith, afraid, as he nobly placed himself in front of me. Roughly, the man hit him and pushed him aside, shoving him to the floor, and he grabbed a fistful of my hair. I cried out in pain and fear. “I mean that me ‘n your girlfriend are gonna go into a nice little room and chat for a while. Sound good to you?” he mocked Keith. Then suddenly, the man began dragging me across the room by my hair. My limbs flailed wildly, and I stretched out my arms toward the three of them. Kristy was crying, and Keith had stood up and started across the room, shouting, “No!” He was the last thing I saw before the door slammed shut behind us.
oooh, all the questions.... predictions? comments? reply reply reply! take it away, CP!

My surroundings were blurred as the tears stung my eyes. The man was still pulling me by my hair behind him; my fear at what would happen kept me from fighting back. Then, suddenly, he stopped pulling, and I was being tossed into a room very similar to the one I had just vacated. The only difference was that, instead of seeing my friends inside, I saw more of the creepy men from the alley years ago. My knees buckled and, losing my balance, I stumbled to the floor in a pitiful heap of tears and terror. I sat there, looking down at the floor, waiting for something to happen, but nothing did. All the men were waiting for someone else to do something. Hesitantly, I looked up. From the dimness of the room, I could make out four men standing among me, including the one who pulled me here by my hair. The first one I saw was the one who approached me first. He did not smile menacingly like the other man – his face was serious. He was all business. Slowly, he crept toward where I was sitting on the floor, and crouched down to my level. My heart raced. What was he going to do? What did he want? Finally, he spoke. “What do you know?” he asked slowly, exaggerating every word. I couldn’t speak. I opened my mouth to reply, but nothing came out. He asked again, but with a louder, more demanding tone. “What do you know?” I had no idea what he was talking about. I could not think of an intelligent answer, something to pacify them. One of the men shuffled impatiently behind me, and I heard more footsteps coming toward my spot on the floor. Terror seized me, and I quickly blurted out anything I could think of. “Kn-know? What d-d-d-do you mean?” The crouched man quickly slapped me and stood up, towering over me. I could feel the painful stinging sensation his slap left on my left cheek. “I said,” the man yelled, “What do you know?!” “I – I don’t know anything,” I whispered feebly. As soon as I finished, a rush of powerful footsteps echoed behind me, and I felt myself be lifted off the floor violently. I screamed, but the man, a different man than the other two, was pressing me against the wall. “Don’t be stupid!” the man yelled. I could feel his hot breath on my face as he shoved me harder into the wall. “Tell us what you know!” “I don’t know what you’re talking about!” I cried, tears rolling freely now. “I don’t know anything!” The man let me drop to the floor, and he, too, stood over me. I curled up and continued screaming, “I don’t know anything! I don’t! I don’t know what you're talking about!” The man closest to me aimed a brutal kick right into my ribcage; I slumped over holding my side, breathing heavily. “Come on,” a man’s voice from across the room said impatiently at me. “We know it was you in the alley those years ago! We know what you saw!” “B-but that’s it, I swear! I-I don’t know a-a-anything else!” “Oh yeah?” asked the man who brought me in here. “Then why are the police snooping around our business? Why are we being followed?! You went to the police!” “No!” I yelled back. “I never did anything! I got shot, and I never told the police anything! It was so many years ago, I thought you were all in prison! I didn’t even know that you were still out there!” There was silence, and in the silence, I pondered that. I thought they had all been put away, that the police had taken care of everything… had they gotten out? Escaped prison? Or had they never been convicted? That must have been it… and they must have recently committed a crime, too, or else the police wouldn’t be following them now! But why did they think I knew something? Someone broke the silence. “We’ll try this one more time…. Tell us what you know.” I took a deep breath and stared into the dark, trying to get one of them to see that I was telling the truth. “I don’t know.” There was a grunt, and someone nodded their head in approval to someone else. “Then we’ll just see what your friends have to say.” And then the same man who grabbed me by the hair before came and grabbed me again. This time by the arm, but he grabbed me so hard I was for sure going to have a big bruise if not a broken arm, I’m pretty sure I had a fractured rib already. I screamed and cried as he dragged me down the dark hallway. The other men followed in tow. What were they going to do to my friends? I couldn’t live with myself if anything happened to them. Finally we got there. One of them opened the door and threw me in. I hit the floor and cried out in pain, I think I may have broken my rib that time. Keith, Damian and Kristy came running over. “Jenny, Jenny are you alright?” Keith asked, helping me up. Accidentally touching my rib. I cried in pain grabbing my side. I was convinced it was broken. “Jenny, let me look at it?” Kristy said, all of them on a where of those other creeps that were there. “That’s enough, all of you to the wall!” one of them growled. “She’s hurt, and I’m not going until she’s taken care of,” Kristy said, sternly. “Get to the wall, NOW!” he shouted again walking towards Kristy. “Kristy, go please. I don’t anything happening to you,” I said, crying harder the man ripped her away and threw towards the wall. Damian came at the guy, but was grabbed by two others and thrown to the wall also. “Just wanted to let you know you all have one hour to say good bye to your friend Jenny here. She’s not co-operating and needs to be eliminated,” the guy who seemed like the leader said, as they shut the door with a ‘THUD’ bolted the doors and left. Everyone ran over to me. “Jenny, oh my gosh are you alright. What happened to your side?” Kristy asked, gently feeling it. “They kicked it and when they threw me in here I think it broke. It really hurts,” I said, as a fresh wave of tears came over me after thinking about what he said, ‘one hour to say good bye’ was all I could think of. Keith gently wrapped his arms around me and stroked my hair. “Nothings going to happen, I’ll protect you no matter what happens,” he said, Kristy was also crying. “You guys have been great, and I’m sorry I got you all into this. I couldn’t have asked for better friends then you guys,” I said, trying to stop crying. I stood up and so did the others. “I love you Kristy, you’re my best friend,” I said, hugging her. “Jenny, you’re my best friend too. And nothings going to happen, because while you were with them we found a way out,” she said, happily. That was the best news I could have ever heard. “You did?!” I asked, surprised. “Where is it?” “Over here,” Keith said, showing me a little a small window well. We must be in a basement. I don’t think Damian and Keith could fit through the tiny window. “You and Kristy go. Get the others and bring them back here with the police. Just be careful.” Keith said, hugging me before Kristy and I left. “You guys have to come with us!” I said, crying again. “We can’t fit through there, and besides, they can’t hurt us. They’ll need us to track you down again, but we’ll stall long enough for you guys to get the others,” Damian said, as I hugged him. “Thank you!” I whispered as Kristy hugged them too. They got the little window open and we crawled through it. “We’ll be back soon,” I said, Keith stopped me and grabbed my hand. “In case this is good bye, I just wanted to say I love you.” he said, kissing my cheek. “It’s not good bye, and I love you too!” I said, slipping out the window and climbing out. It took us a while before we knew which way to go, but we finally found a street that looked familiar. We took a cab to Keith’s house. Kristy wanted me to go to the hospital first, but we had to tell them where they were. We got up to the door and knocked. Ryan answered. “Jenny, oh my gosh! Are you ok? Where’s Keith and Damo?” He said, picking me up off the ground causing me to burst into tears. “Ryan, put her down. She has a broken rib,” Kristy said, and Ryan put me down gently. Saying he was sorry. “It’s ok, right now we have to call the police and go get Damian and Keith!” I said, as a fresh wave tears came over me. I was extremely emotional right now and I cried at anything. Paul, Neil and George came running in. They almost did the same thing to me if Ryan hadn’t stepped in the way. “She has a broken rib, and they know where Keith and Damian are. Paul go call the police, Jenny and Kristy come sit down on the couch you need rest. I’ll call the doctor on my cell,” Ryan said, as he put his arm around me and brought me to the couch. “I hope they’re ok,” I said, barely above a whisper. Ryan kissed the top of my head. “I’m sure they’re fine, just try to get some rest. The doctor’ll be here soon,” he said, as I felt my eyes lids getting heavier. Kristy was already passed out on the other couch from pure exhaustion. I too was asleep soon.
