The next day was a little better, Ryne was talking to Neil, but still mostly ignored the other lads. About halfway through the day, Ryne was on her Nox account, when Keith plopped on the couch beside her. "Whatcha doin'?" He asked, hoping his friendly tone wouldn't scare her. "Reading. You wouldn't like it." "Try me." Ryne sighed, but turned her computer screen so he could see. "The...The stories are about us?" He asked, surprised. "I told you, you wouldn't like it." "No, this is interesting. Do ye write any?" She didn't speak, just pulled up all her stories. Keith began reading, and Ryne watched his face. "This is really good! I had no idea ye were such an amazing writer!" He exclaimed. "Really? Ye don't think it's weird that I'm writing...Love storys about you guys? I mean, it was easier that making up characters and personalitys, and..." "This is great. I loved the one with me and a dancer. Ye totally got me personality, and the other lads too. What's this one?" He pointed to her screen. "That's nothin'. It's not finished, not ready for reading yet!" She swiftly closed the tab. Keith mentally noted the website name and determined to tell the other guys about Ryne's hidden talent.
I want to think if the lads are reading my story, they find it flattering or amusing. My intention is not to weird anyone out, but Writing with the CT band as characters is simpler. It is very hard to create off the top of your head, several characters, personalitys, and settings for a story. Using CT, you have established characters with personalitys, save the main character that is usually based off of the author, and an established setting. If any of the lads are lurking and reading my storys, thank you for what you do. Your music has brought me out of a dark place.

"Her Mum told me she writes, but she din't say she was this GOOD!" Neil was reading Ryne's stories with the other lads on their laptops. Keith just nodded. "She's amazing! She should be published." There were several nods, then Ryne came in with Nicole. "What are we talkin' 'bout?" Ryne was trying to be cheerful, so the lads would leave her alone. "Nothin'!" was the general reply. Ryne eyed them warily, but didn't question them further. "So Ryne..." Keith began. "Have ye written anything not about us lads?" Ryne sighed. He told the others about her stories. She wasn't surprised, but... "Yes. It's a similar style of story, but it's about a country singer and his best friends cousin. Daniel McLauhn and Annie Moore." Keith was careful with his words, he really hoped she would agree, "May I...We see it?" He almost winced as he asked. Ryne stared at him for a good minute, jaw on the floor, before stuttering out, "Y...y...Ye Re...Really want, to read it?" She was surprised by the violent nods. "Really?! It's not any good..." Colm held up a hand. "Let US be the judge of that!" Ryne, shock still plain on her face, dug through her bag and found a notebook that was about 3/4's of an inche thick. "Ye'll have to take turns, I've only the one copy."

"That's fine." Colm smiled, disappearing with the book to his bunk to read before Keith could snatch it. Ryne let out a half giggle at the pout on Keith's face, but it died away quickly. She plopped on the couch by George, and sighed. "Why is this so hard?" He looked down at her questioningly. "Oh, being cheerful! I don't see how you guys can be so ...Happy all the time." He nodded in understanding. "We're not happy ALL the time, Lass. We all have bad days, and some are worse than others. When Damian was in school on tour, he would be so grumpy no one would talk to him. Eventually he would work through the issue, apologize fer being grumpy, and one of us lads would help him with his homework." "Really? Hmm..." "Why don't ye get out of the bus today? We have the day free, go out with one of the lads and find lunch somewhere." "Alright. Keith?" "Yes?" He asked, sitting up straight on the couch, thrilled she was talking to him after he told the others about her writing. "Do...do you want to go find lunch?" "Sure!"

Ryne tried to smile at Keith as he ordered for them. He had been nothing but kind since he showed up on her porch, and she had been terrible to him in return. "I'm so sorry." She said after the waiter left. "You've been so good to me, and all I've done is make you miserable." Keith put his hand over hers and smiled softly. "Ye've been going through a lot. I think ye have a right to be a bit upset. All of us lads just want to help ye. All ye've got to do is let us help." "Um... There is something I'd like your help with actually." Keith grinned. "Anythin' at all!" "I've had the lyrics for a song rattling around in my head for a few days, and I can't get a tune for it. Would ye be willing to help me with it? And maybe Neil could help?" "Of couse!"
Over the next few weeks, Ryne split her time between talking with Colm about her stories and writing more at his request, and working with Neil and Keith on her song. She soon came to see Neil as the older brother she never had, and became closer in friendship with all the others. Colm and Keith were content with being friends, and that's all they were. Ryne decided she wasn't ready to even consider a romantic relationship, and they respected her decision. The day finally came when her song was done, AND she felt confidant enough in herself to perform it in front of the lads, band, and crew.
"Falling down, jumping up. Why can't I just be enough? You shove me down, you pull me up. I guess I'll never be enough.
Spinning forth, twisting back. At every turn, you attack. Turning 'round, upside down. I finally hit the ground.
My life's been a rollercoaster ride, with you at the controls. But now I'm breakin' free, and leaving you behind. Freedom. For once I feel alive. Freedom. No more pain, I don't have to hide.
I'm free. I'm free. I'm free. You have no power over me. I'm free. I'm free. I'm free. I'm. Free." Sharon smiled as the room erupted in applause. "That was amazingly done, Ryne. It tells beautifully the struggles ye've had, and the things ye've overcome. Would ye be willin' te perform it on stage, with the lads?" Ryne smiled back. "You've all been so wonderful, and I could never have made it to where I am without ye. I am a new person, and the new me would be honored." More cheers and whistles, and Ryne was raised up on the shoulders of Emmet and Keith. Her new life had begun.
I am sorry about the wait, I've been working through some things. I may not post for a while still, but I didn't want you to think I'd forgotten. My visits just might be a bit more.... Sporadic. Thank y'all for reading and keep writing.
