Trust me I know. I have panic attack sometimes, thankfully they aren't frequent. Ryne AND her family are still learning HOW to deal with panic attacks. Now, to the story.
About an hour later, they were on their way. Ryne had awakened and said goodbye to her mom and brothers, for Keefe was home from school, and was teasing her. "Ryne's gonna make all those guys do whatever she says, and their gonna dump her out!" Ryne just sighed. "Keefe, you are such a dork." "I know." He grinned mischeiviously. "Neil, you keep her in line. That's what momma says to do with me." Neil winked at Ryne and agreed with the boy.
"Hey Ryne?" Keith plopped beside her on the couch. "Are ye okay? I mean it looked like yer mum hit ye kin'a hard." He looked at the ground. "I'm okay Keith. It sort of shocked the panic out of me. Not the way I would have wanted her to react, but we are all still gettin' used to me even havin' these things." Keith looked back up at her and smiled. He took her hand and was opening his mouth to say more, when Colm appeared from the back. Keith quickly dropped her hand and sighed. "What's up man?" Colm just shrugged. "I'm already set up on me bunk, so I thought I'd come talk with ye. What are ye talkin' about?" "Oh nothing." Ryne assured. "I was askin' Keith to explain Lauren and I to me." "Well I had been readin' this book about a guy who's girlfriend Lauren died. I kin'a wrote it as him talkin' te her grave. How he can't live without her." Ryne nodded, but Colm looked more confused than when Keith began. "Okaaay... So Ryne, I was wonderin' if I could buy ye a coffee when we stop next?"
So what do ye think? What wasKeith going to say? Will Ryne accept the mini date with Colm? How will Keith respond?

Me thinks Keith was going to ask Ryne out, and as for Ryne taking Colm up on that coffee break, I think she will say Yes!

I agree with Celticbear. Keith seems to like her. But there's a big choice picking between Keith and Colm. Defiantly some drama coming. Especially with her old boyfriend living at their next stop.

Ryne smiled at Colm and answered, "Sure!" She then turned to Keith. "So, do ye think you could teach me to play guitar? I've always wanted to learn, and I think ye'd be a great teacher!" She grinned at him and giggled. She looked so excited, how could he say no? "Sure. What song do ye want te learn first?" She blinked thoughtfully. "Um... The Sounds of Silence. Then all three of us could play it together! And you guys could sing it, and..." The guys laughed at her excitement. "Only if ye sing with us." Colm stated. "I won't do it if ye don't." Ryne looked thoughtful again. "I'll try. Um... Would you guys help me? I'm still dealin' with some stuff, and just..." Keith nodded. "Of course." "Anytime ye need te talk, ye can come te me." Colm agreed. "Thanks guys. Can we start now?" Guitar lessons lasted until they stopped. Keith even let het touch Adaline, his newest acoustic Gibson. Then Colm and Ryne walked across the street to the Starbucks, and she sat at the table while he ordered. They chatted about her life in the country until the Barista yelled, "Amy and Rory Pond!" Colm grinned and Ryne giggled. "You are crazy Colm. But I like crazy people. My best friend is even more of a Whovian than me, and half the time I don't even know what we are talkin' about. There was once a debate about the existance of flyin' pigs IN the Time Vortex, and whether chocolate tasted different in space." Colm just laughed and fetched their drinks. "So Ryne, I've been meanin' te ask ye, what is yer favorite song?" Ryne widened her eyes. "Ye want me to pick a favorite?! Um... Right this second it's Mo Ghile Mear, by Celtic Woman. I watch for you when we play their Believe dvd. I can pick ye out just by the way ye stand, even when I can't see your face." She giggled, then glanced at her watch. "We should probably get back to the bus." Colm looked disappointed, but didn't argue. What do ye think? I'm just like Ryne, I pick up on accents, and it comes through everywhere. Sorry. But I'm lovin' writing this for you guys! Ya'll are great! Comment if you read this story or any of my others.

Well that little trip to Starbucks went well. Love the fact that Ryne asked Keith to teach her how to play the guitar. Love her choice of song to learn.

By the time they arrived in Chicago, Ryne had the basics of guitar down and was learning the specifics chords for Sounds of Silence. She was nervous about running ito Sterling, but the lads kept telling her that they would be right there with her no matter what. Neil was helping with the guitar lessons, and watching Ryne, just like he promised. But he was also watching the subtle rivalry between Keith and Colm. "Lads," he said once Ryne was out of earshot, "Knock it off! She has just been through an abusive relationship, and needs time to work out all that he has said or done to her. Give her some space and time. I don't mean ignore her, just be content with friendship fer now. Okay?" Both lads nodded and sat on the couch.

When Ryne made it to the front of the bunk she paused. Neither Keith or Colm had acknowledged her presence. There was normally a head nod or a 'Hi Ryne!' when she entered the room. "Are you guys okay? Sharon says we'll be at the theater within the hour. I'm a bit nervous actually...." That got the boys attention. Colm took her by the hand and smiled softly. "Yer gonna be fine. I'm not gonna let anything happen to ye." He led her to sit beside him on the couch. "Jest remember that we ALL love ye, and want ye to be happy here. We are leavin' the instant the concert's over anyway, we have te be in Springfield tomorrow." Ryne gave him a weak grin. "I'll be okay, I just..." She gave up putting words to her feelings and snuggled beside him. She couldn't see Keiths hurt face. He quickly got up with the excuse of calling his mum. Colm looked worried for a second, then glanced down at Ryne and smiled. She lay with her eyes closed, breathing softly. He could smell her perfume, chocolate. Her eyelids fluttered as she fell asleep on his chest. She looked so innocent, how could anyone want to hurt that sweet girl? Then the bus lurched to a stop and her eyes flew open. She gasped and clutched his sleeve as he murmured, "It's okay, yer safe. I've got ye, it was jest the bus stoppin'." She calmed down and smile at him briefly before bouncing out of the bus and ove to Sharon. "Ryne, will you and Keith take these boxes to the manager? Colm, I need to talk to you about something..."
Ryne grinned at Keith as they carried the boxes into the dark heart of the building. Then someone bumped into Ryne, knocking her down. The persons eyes lit up and he growled, "What are you doing here?"
Who bumped into Ryne? Why is he mad? How will Keith respond?

Keith and Colm are going to have a hard time following the "Back Off" advice that Neil has given them. Especially since Ryne cuddled with Colm. And Colm is about to get the same advice from Sharon. And I"m pretty sure Ryne's Ex is the one who bumped into her and Keith is going on the defensive attack!

Ryne gasped and backed up. "What are you doing here?" He growled again. "I told you to just go die. You're worthless, and the world is better off without you." Keith stepped between the two of them and growled himself. "Ye have no right to say such obvious lies. Ryne is a wonderful woman, and if you can't see that then ye are a fool." Sterling, for that's who it was, took a step towards Keith. "You have no reason to be here. Get lost." "Actually I do. I am here to perform, and Ryne is helpin' me boss. What right have ye got te be here?" "I'm the Assistant Manager." "Oh good. Here, ye can take these te yer boss and if they do not make it, I'll tell them that the boxes were left in yer capable hands." Sarcasm dripped in Keiths voice. Then he took Ryne by the arm and gently led her away, mumuring, "It's okay, he's a jerk, don't listen to him... Ye are wonderful... This world needs more people like ye... I need ye..." Ryne sniffed and Keith practically carried her back to the bus. It was empty, and Keith sat with Ryne on the couch, holding her while she shook. A wild look came into his eye, and he was mentally cursing the rotten luck of meeting the one guy... Rynes breathing came in short weak gasps, and her eyes were wide with fear. She grabbed at Keith's sleeve, and he murmured gently in her ear, his voice soft and soothing. Eventually she calmed a little bit, enough that she could breath normally, and Sharon poked her head in. "Is everything okay?" Keith explained as gently as he could what had happened, and Sharon frowned. "Ryne, the lads have sound check... Do ye think ye could sit in the theater with me and the guys will be right there. I'll make sure HE stays out, okay?" Ryne sniffed and nodded. She stood and swayed a bit before catching her balance. That attack had taken a lot out of her. Keith scooped her up and she lay her head on his shoulder as he carried her into the theater. Neil looked up as they came through the door and concern flooded his face. "What happened?" He asked as he rushed to her side. Sharon explained, and the other guys mumbled how they'd "Like te get me hands on him..." George for once looked absolutely furious.
Ryne stayed very close to Keith the rest of rehearsals. Whenever he had a chance he would look at her and smile. She gave him weak smiles in return, but the worry was evident in her eyes.
Is there anythig you guys don't like? Anything I should change?

All through the concert everyone was nervous. And during the last song, Keith was nearly hit by a light that 'came loose'. As soon as he was off stage he was swearing and hollering. Someone fetched Sharon, and she spoke to the manager. "I'm worried. Yer assistant was threatening me performers and assistant, and then this light comes loose conveniantly over the singer who was fightin' with him." "Sterling couldn't have done that. He does not have access to the catwalk." The door opened behind him, and Sterling entered the room. "Sterling? Were you on the catwalk when the light fell?" "Sure was. Kelly and I were talkin' and that light must o' come loose." Sharon raised an eyebrow at the manager. It seemed to be an Irish thing. The manager just shrugged. "Sorry, I can't help you." Sharon threw up her hands. "See if we come here again!" The manager took a breath to reply, but she was already gone.
"The nerve of that man!" "What happened, Sharon?" Neil said looking up from Ryne. She was laying on the couch in the bus, with a pillow over her head, and the other lads appeared to be praying in the back. They turned their attention to Sharon as she replied. "Sterling was on the catwalk near the light, but the manager refuses to deal with the issue. We will not be using this theater as long as he is in charge." Colm stormed out of the bus. He used the excuse of leaving his phone in his dressing room to get back in the building, and quickly found Sterling. "Alright. Yellin' at me friends is one thing, but tryin' te kill 'em with stage lights is too much." Sterling grinned, and was about to mouth off, when Colm slapped him. Hard. A furious look came over his face, and he punched Colm in the face. Colm was smart enough to dodge, and the blow barely grazed him. Sterling was not so lucky. Colm probably would have hit him until he blacked out, but Sharon's voice calling his name stopped him. He left Sterling on the floor and did not meet anyones eyes once he climbed on the bus.
