The alarm went off as usual at 8. Saturday was gonna be a lazy day even though I had a practice session at 2 p.m. I hit the snooze button since I didn't have a desire to get up just yet as a matter of fact I changed the time my alarm needed to go off. I set it for 10 a.m. which would give me a little more time to rest.
During the two hours of added sleep I was able to dream. I can't remember the last time I had a pleasant dream mostly they were nightmares. I had dreams of missing connections and just totally messing up my chances. This time I saw a nice images and visions of Ireland. I was glad when I woke up at 10 a.m. and hadn't been sweating to death. No more nightmares and I was thankful for that.
I got out of bed feeling wonderful and totally refreshed. I couldn't wait for my first auction to happen. I decided to make myself a couple Belgian waffles for brunch along with a couple sausage patties and a nice glass of orange juice. Nothing is better than melted butter and lots of syrup.
After I finished eating I sauntered downstairs to the living room to see if anyone was home. I've been absent a lot lately especially at dinner. It couldn't be avoided I had things to do and little time to get it done. All my time has been devoted to my dance or the benefits associated with my going to Ireland in June.
I must remember to ask Ms. Anne what was the dates for the competition. I needed to know what the dates were so I could get a great deal on airfare. I also wanted to find out how much it was cost for a train ticket from Dublin to Galway one way.
I discovered that no one was home and it was just me and Ming. I let him outside to use the bathroom and I gave him a little treat when he came inside. He was a good dog even if he could be stubborn most of the time. He was good at listening to my problems. I could tell him anything and he'd never tell a sole. It was great having a confident who could keep a secret.
I made a turkey sandwich for lunch just something light to help get me through the day. I took a bottle of water out of the fridge to have with my sandwich. After I finished lunch I headed out the door toward class. I was hoping this time my improvement would be more noticeable.
I got there a little early hoping to get a little more practice before Ms. Anne started taping our session. I also needed to remember to ask about the dates for the competition. Tonight I'd actually be home at a decent hour no more late nights for me this weekend. I was thinking about going to the club but decided to pass simply because I really needed to wash everything on my bed. Plus my laundry was really piling up.
My session ended on a good note which pleased me. Ms. Anne said she could see a lot of improvement in me. I told her I was going to OCC on Friday afternoons and that I was gonna start going to the Irish American Club on Tuesdays and Fridays. As I was leaving I asked about the dates for the competition. The dates were 13 - 15th of June.
When I got home I put in the dates to see how much tickets were gonna cost me. I was glad I didn't need to buy a passport since I already had one. I got my passport a year ago so I could go back and forth to Canada for dance competitions. My school use to compete with local schools in Windsor. So it was a must have once I started dancing.
As soon as I came in the house my mom asked, "how did your day go?" "It went well actually the teacher said she could see real improvement in my movements." Mom didn't really ask questions about my classes so there had to be an underlying motive to her questioning. "What do you really want to know?" She said there was no motive behind the question she just thought I looked a bit tired. I told her that I was tired but that I'd get back to a normal sleep pattern once both auctions were over and done with. I think she believe me about my sleep getting back to being normal.
I went upstairs to strip the sheets and covers off my bed. I then proceeded to stuff them in the dumb waiter and carefully sent them down to the basement to put them in the wash. I needed to wash more but they would have to wait until tomorrow. I was in desperate need of clean sheets and covers.
After my laundry made a safe landing I proceeded downstairs to the laundry room. I loaded everything into the wash except for my comforter and my fleece blankets. Winter was really dragging itself out in Michigan. I was waiting for nice weather when I could finally remove the electric blanket along with my two fleece ones.
I went back upstairs to watch a little television while I waited for the clothes to wash. I could have sent my laptop down with my clothes but really wanted to watch some TV instead. I walked through the kitchen to the living room. Mom was making sloppy joes from what was on the counter. She had chopped a yellow bell pepper and an onion up already. I also saw all the ingredients for the sauce on the counter as well. I love sloppy joes and if I didn't have the cook the better they tasted.
The washer went off in 25 minutes so I went back downstairs to put the stuff in the dryer making sure to put my comforter and blankets in the wash. Once my sheets were done I'd load the dumb waiter sending them back where they belong. In the meantime I went back to what I was doing prior to getting the stuff out of the washer.
Dinner was ready after my sheet and covers were dried. I had been craving sloppy joes ever since I saw the ingredients sitting out on the counter. I had one sloppy joe along with some mashed potatoes. After dinner I headed upstairs to put my bed back together. There was nothing like a clean bed.
Once I had everything back the way it was I decided to get ready for bed myself. I changed into my night gown after I made sure that everything had been turned off or shut down. I then made my way back to my bed crawling under the covers for a long winters rest. I'd be up tomorrow at 10 again since I didn't change my alarm but it didn't matter because I was do for a good night sleep.
- enough for now more to come tomorrow.

Alarm went off at 10. I was dressed and ready to go by 11. I wasn't going anywhere special I just needed to do laundry. I took all the dirty clothes from my hamper in the bathroom and loaded it on the dumb waiter. I took the dirty clothes from my room and put them in the laundry bag also loading it on top of the clothes from the bathroom. I then carefully lowered them to the basement. I then stuck my laptop and all the needed accessories into my carrying case.
Once I got down to the main floor I noticed that no one was home which was odd especially for a Sunday morning. I checked every room before heading downstairs and no one was in them. I saw Ming in his bed by the television set. As I wandered through the kitchen I saw a note. "Gone to store be back later, Mom." At least they let me know they were gone. I guess she knew I needed some time alone. Oh well lets just home no one is in the basement as well. My brother didn't work on Sundays which was probably his only day off.
Just as I thought my brother had gone with them to the store which meant I could wash in peace and quiet with just my thoughts to keep me company. I took my laundry out of the dumb waiter and proceeded to sort into several piles. I took out my laptop, plugged it in, turned it on and then proceeded to put a load in the washer. While the clothes were washing I decided to fool around online.
I didn't want to do anything related to an auction or my trip to Ireland in June. I did log into YouTube to watch some of my favorite videos. I needed to see how the games I played on Facebook were going. I knew I probably had stuff in my cafe that I needed to do but instead I went to Farmville. I even played Bejeweled Blitz which was always a fun game to play and the more I played the better I got.
I had a total four loads of laundry well I only had 3 more to wash but a total of four to dry. After the first load was done in the washer I put it in the dryer then another in the washer until all my clothes had been washed. Once the dryer stopped I started to fold my laundry. After two loads were completely done I put them in a basket and loaded them into the dumb waiter. I then proceeded back upstairs to retrieve my clothes.
I had two more loads to complete before I could permanently move myself back up to my place. After my last load had been folded I loaded everything in the dumb waiter including my laptop which I'd put back in my case. I turned off the lights and went back upstairs. I filled Ming's water bowl before I climbed the flight of stairs to my flat. Once I was upstairs I unloaded the dumb waiter of my laundry and my laptop.
Now I had to put my laundry away which took more effort than washing them. I really hated putting stuff away but it had to be done and I really didn't want to do more than just that. I thought about working on some earrings I started last weekend. I really wanted to add some new merchandise to my online store. During the Christmas holiday I made about 500 dollars just in two month period.
After I finished working on those earrings, I arranged them on a glass to take a couple pictures so I could post them at my online shop. I used the money I made from the jewelry and knitted items. This money was used to buy gifts at Christmas and any other added items I might need. Sales of items on eBay paid for my cell phone bill and for the internet service. I haven't been working as much as I had in the past three years at the theater so any extra money I made paid for things I wanted or needed.
I decided to go to the kitchen on the main floor to see what I could make for dinner. The note didn't say they were getting Chinese for dinner. I called my brother to see what they were gonna do about dinner. It was about four when I made the call. Toby said, "I just placed an order before you called and I'm sitting here waiting for it." Great at least I didn't have to cook. I had no desire to cook. I fed Ming before I headed back upstairs.
Once upstairs I grabbed my laptop and headed for the bedroom. I plugged it in and turned it on sitting it on the side table. I then went back to the kitchen to get a glass of Pepsi before making myself comfortable on my bed. I also made sure my phone was with me once I returned to my laptop. I had no desire to go back downstairs even if for Chinese food.
I hear a car drive up as I'm chatting with friends online. Like I said I don't have any desire to go back downstairs to eat with my family. This is my day of rest even if I was off for three days but Friday and Saturday was so busy I couldn't think. I notice that my brother is online so I send him a message about sending me up some food.
Not long after chatting with my brother a plate of Chinese food made it way up to my floor. I step outside my front door push the dumb waiter's door open to reveal a plate of Chinese food along with an egg roll and dinner roll. I go back to my kitchen grabbing a fork and some butter for my roll. I grab a soda while I'm still in the kitchen then I head back to my bed and computer.
I was on YouTube listening to some of my favorite songs before my family came home with food. I went right back to what I was doing. I love Maroon 5 and Madonna and some of the music from the 80's and 90's. I even listened to some country music even though I don't really like all varieties. I love Garth Brooks and Kenny Chesney. Music is great at helping me to relax making sure to stay away from any videos of Riverdance. I love the show but there is only so much I can handle especially when I'm trying to relax.
After I finished eating I took my plate to the sink. I'll wash it tomorrow because I really wanted to get back to my YouTube. I needed to relax because I had to work tomorrow. I made sure to change the time on my alarm back to 9 a.m. I liked waking up early enough to eat breakfast before heading out the door on my way to work.
Around 11 p.m. I decided to log off the net and shut down the computer. I wasn't as tired as I had been but I wanted to get at least 8 hrs sleep before having to go to work. I changed my clothes in order to get ready for bed. My head hit the pillow about 11:40 p.m. which would give me about 8 hours of sleep. I just hope to have a pleasant night of uninterrupted sleep.
Alarm went off as scheduled. I was in the shower with 5 minutes of waking up. After I'm dressed for work I decide to fix myself an egg sandwich with a cup of coffee. Now I was ready for work all I needed to do was make lunch for myself. I had some chicken salad so I made a sandwich on multi-grain bread with a piece of lettuce. I put it in a sandwich box which I put in a plastic bag with an empty water bottle.
I wasn't expecting much to happen today since it was the beginning of the work week and the only people to visit the theater were generally retirees. There were a couple of regulars who came on Mondays but other than that it was a host of random people. It was the only day besides Tuesday when I would have a lot of down time to chat with Lisa, my friend in the concession stand.
I asked her if she could help me again with the St. Patrick's Day auction I was working on. She asked what I needed to have done. I told her I was gonna call a bunch of Irish Pubs and Restaurants for St. Patrick's Day to see if they would be willing to make a donation to my auction. I reminded her of the back story that everyone needed to know. I told her I'd email her a list of restaurants and pubs in her area to call.
I'm always glad when 6 p.m. rolls around because I knew I'd end up in a huge traffic jam. Luck was on my side this evening because traffic was brisk which was weird for the 28th of January. It wasn't a holiday that I knew of off hand but for what ever reason traffic was at least moving. I was gonna go to the Irish American Club tonight but I guess I'll have to pass on it, for some reason I thought set dancing was on Tuesdays oh well no big disappointment there.
I finally get home an hour later which isn't bad for a Monday evening. I decide to spend some time with my mom since she hasn't seen me much this month, I've just been so busy. It wasn't long before my first auction takes place. I just hope its as big of a success as the two previous events. Ms. Anne sent me an email that said someone from the Oakland County paper was coming to do a story on me Wednesday night.
Mom asked how my day went but I knew she wanted to know how things were going for me since she hadn't seen me much this month. I said, "everything is good I just wish these two auctions I'm planing would be over with. I really needed to get back into a normal sleeping pattern again." She wished I hadn't put myself under so much pressure but understood that what I was doing served a purpose. I was always glad when I had mom on my side at least she understood what I was going through.
She had bought the ingredients to make meatloaf and asked if I would make it while she made mashed potatoes. I agreed because I really hated peeling potatoes. I didn't mind mashing them but peeling was really something I hated doing. Besides mom was a master peeler. It was nice cooking something other than an egg sandwich which was all I usually cooked.
Me and mom chatted a bit while the potatoes were cooking. I told her about the good deal I found on tickets to New York's JFK and to Dublin, Ireland. She was glad I as getting to see another part of the world. She just wished that I'd have gone abroad before now but I was still young and not tied down any longer. I was free as a bird to do what ever it was that I wanted. I had been divorced for about 2 years now. I had dated a few guys since but never finding that special someone to complete me. I wasn't entirely sure that person existed but wasn't about to share my insight with my mom.
We ate as soon as the potatoes were done. I loved meatloaf it was the greatest comfort food a person could make and every time I made one it turned out to be better than the last. After dinner I decided to watch some television in the living room. Monday night programming wasn't always great but I didn't wan to go back upstairs just yet. I sorta felt guilty for neglecting my family for what seemed like an entire month. I blamed it all on the stress up putting together two auctions and having to do a lot of leg work to make them successful. I sure hope they were a success.
I went back upstairs around 11 p.m. because I had a couple things I needed to do before I went to bed. I needed to email the list of Pubs and Restaurants I wanted her to call. Ms. Anne sent me another email this time with the 3rd practice session attached to it. She also said that she got the catalogs back from the printer and that she needed to know a total for the tickets from Detroit to Dublin. I sent her a quick reply letting her know I'll have the quotes for all the tickets when I come to class on Wednesday.
After I sent both of my emails I decided to call it a night because I had to work tomorrow but I was really getting sleepy. I could barely keep my eyes open which was a sign that normal sleep was on the horizon. I shut down my computer and headed to bed. It's a good thing I as already ready for bed because as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out.
-enough for now i'm really tired. i need to get some sleep.

Tuesdays were fairly mild at work, we usually didn't experience large crowds of people until Friday. However, on Tuesday they put up the new schedule for the next week. When I took my break I saw that I was working Friday which wasn't a real big pain in my side. I was lucky to have had the past 3 Fridays off which is nice but I didn't mind working the weekend as long as I still got Saturday and Sunday off. I was off on Saturday and Sunday which was great because I needed all the extra time I could get to prepare for Ireland.
I got home from work around 7 which was normal during the beginning of the work week. The trip home usually took longer on Thursdays and Fridays. Traffic jams happened more frequently at the end of the week which I hated. I was not a patient driver but I hadn't been in any major crashes.
Lisa told me she'd give everyone on the list I sent her a call on her day off which just happened to be Wednesday. I'd also call some businesses on Wednesday as well. The faster I got this next auction set up the more time I had to concentrate on my dance. It was crucial that I master each step and move. I could feel I was becoming a better dancer the more I practiced.
Tuesday night dinner was pizza which we usually have on Sundays but this past Sunday we had Chinese instead. I loved pizza I swear I could eat it every day and never get tired of it. My mom always swear that there has to be some Italian in our background we love it so much. When my mom was younger she went to Italy with her friend. I'd love to visit Italy but I can't wait to go to Ireland.
It was getting late and I really needed to get to bed. I was still trying to catch up on sleep, if that were possible. I made sure everything was shut off or shut down before heading to my bedroom. I couldn't hold my eyes open any longer I changed into my night clothes then proceeded to climb into bed. I just hope I could get at least 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. I didn't need odd or even creepy nightmares creeping into my restful sleep. Tomorrow would be another long day I could just feel it in my bones.
- will write more tomorrow evening. gotta go to bed i'm really tired.

Wednesday the alarm went off at 9 a.m. I was up and ready to face the day. I was dressed and ready to go by 10 a.m. I made myself breakfast, nothing fancy just an egg sandwich on a bagel served with a cup of coffee. I had a lot to do today and didn't want to waste a moment goofing off.
After breakfast I called the school to see if there was any way I could use one of the empty studios. I knew there was a class for tots in the morning. When it came to Irish step dance parents started their kids real young. I was just hoping someone might be there when I called. I think the class started around noon or 1 p.m. I wouldn't be able to practice on Friday because I was working so I thought I'd call to see if I could use an empty studio to practice.
I called about 11:30, Genie answered, she was one of the women who taught Irish dance to toddlers. The requirement for dancing was they had to be able to walk which most of them could. I asked would it possible for me to use one of the empty studio classrooms after I told her who I was. She said, "sure its not problem. We'll be here until 2 p.m today since we have two classes one at noon and one at 1 p.m." I told her I'd probably be there around 12:30 p.m. because I really needed to get in more practice.
As soon as I hung up I made myself a lunch to take with me. I was planning on practicing as long as I could. I threw a couple bottles of water in the bag with my sandwich. I took my laptop along with a couple Cd's I liked dancing too. I also took my gym bag and made sure my practice shoes were in the bag since I took them with me when I went to Irish American Club last Friday night.
I left home a little after 12 p.m., traffic wasn't bad which was amazing but then again it was the middle of the work week. I got there a little after 1 p.m. I went right to work in the empty studio setting up my laptop and then heading to changing room that was attached to this studio. I turned the Cd from the previous Saturday session on so I could follow along with it. I was so into what was on the screen I didn't realize I had a small audience watching me in silence.
Apparently, Genie told the group that I was practicing for a big competition in Ireland this summer. I remember seeing some of them in the Christmas 2007 recital. They all wanted to see what it takes to get to go to Ireland. I had no idea I had a loyal following but it was so sweet. I ended my rehearsal with a Q & A session which was OK with me. They were very interested in what I had to say. At the end I got a hearty round of applause which was nice. A little preview of what I might experience in Ireland.
I got back home a little after 3 p.m. I ate my lunch on the drive home no sense wasting a good sandwich. I'd have to be back at school later this evening so I left all my stuff in the car. I didn't really need my laptop if I wanted to get online. Mom was making sloppy joes when I walked in the backdoor. She always made my favorite food when I had dance class.
I was able to get a little nap in before I left for class at 4:30 p.m. I made sure to grab a couple bottles of water on my way out I didn't like being dehydrated when I dance. I arrived at school a little after 5 which was great. Ms. Anne showed me a copy of the auction catalog, it was amazing. I was blown away at the sheer beauty of the package I just hoped others would share my sentiment. I told her about my experience this afternoon with the group of tots.
Again I went straight to my work and before I knew it there was a group of students watching what I was doing. I guess it was time for class to start soon. I put my laptop away and I would sit out the warm-up since I'd did that earlier. I took a break before we got into the routine we were working on last week. It usually took a couple classes before we got a dance down pat. We usually had a spring recital that takes place usually the week before the Easter holiday.
I didn't have to stay late tonight which was great cause I was exhausted and really wanted to get home. I packed up and headed home which wasn't a bad drive considering that it was around 7:30 p.m. I got home a little after 8 and headed straight to bed. I quickly changed into my night gown and then snuggled into a long restful sleep. I had tomorrow off which was nice so I thought I might go see a movie for a change since I rarely went as it was.
- good night everyone hope you enjoy this post. I really need to go to bed.

- not sure what is going on with the CT website, some people can get in but I still can't. makes me mad Thursday my alarm went off around 9:30 a.m. but I had no where I needed to go so I was in no hurry to get out of bed. When I went to use the bathroom I brought back my laptop and a bottle of water. I plugged it in and turned it on. I wanted to see what was playing at the theater. I was looking for something I could see for free. Juno was still playing as was the film A Perfect Holiday. After I finished eating my breakfast I got dressed and went downstairs to see if mom wanted to go see a couple movies this afternoon. I'm pretty sure she'd like this movies then again she liked all the ones I picked out. I told her I buy lunch and dinner. I thought we both deserved a night out besides I needed a major stress reliever. It was the end of the month of January which meant there was only be 22 days before my first auction. We left the house around 11:30 and traffic was really light which was great for a Thursday. We would see The Perfect Holiday first because it was a guaranteed laugh factor film. We'd see Juno after lunch. It was kinda nice being the only two in the auditorium seeing a movie. The theater was really quiet around noon hour which was great because I hated when a theater was really busy. We could enjoy the movie a lot more without any other interruptions. I'd gotten the tickets for Juno before we went to lunch at McDonald's across the street. I ordered to McDoubles minus cheese, one side salad, a large drink and a large of fries. It may have not been the greatest lunch but it was satisfying and quick. After lunch it was time to see Juno. I had the privilege of seeing this movie before it was released which was nice because there was a Q & A with the writer. It's always nice to see a picture before it is released but the screenings are usually at theaters not close by. The movie was good with its funny moments but it was cute too. Mom liked it even though I thought she might not but I did a good job picking the movies. After Juno it was dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. We didn't have to drive far since the restaurant is located in the outer parking lot of the shopping center. I loved their salad bar and the mini turkey burgers with fries. Mom ordered the same thing I did along with the salad bar. They had the best salad bar around which was great when you didn't want to eat heavy meal in the evening. I had to work tomorrow morning so when I got home I just readied myself for bed. I did a little surfing of the internet before heading to bed. I made sure to remove the laptop from my bedroom because it would be a distraction I didn't need. I would have to early because I started work at 9:30 a.m. I had to set my alarm for 7 a.m. which comes pretty early when you haven't had enough sleep. I could feel my eyelids closing so it was time to see goodnight to all my online buddies. Tomorrow would definitely be a busy day since it would be February 1st. - good night everyone hope you like this post. i sure hope the CT website is back tomorrow I really need it in order to update my second story and to start my 3rd story.

Alarm went off at 6 a.m. and I sprang to my feet ready to start the day. This is the first Friday I've worked in a month. Its also the first day of February and only 22 days until my first auction. I showered and am dressed before 7 a.m. I make an egg sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich for lunch. I grab my bag, purse, coat and head out the door with my breakfast sandwich in my mouth. I even had time to grab an ice coffee out of the fridge before I left the house.
I had to be at work by 9 a.m and traffic was usually a nightmare this early in the morning so I wanted to get a jump on the expressway traffic. Traffic wasn't that bad but then again I was coming from Pontiac and not Auburn Hills. I had pockets of congestion but I could deal with it as long as I got to work on time. I didn't mind working Fridays I just preferred not to work if I could. I really needed all rehearsing I could get. I would be heading to Irish American Club later tonight so I'd make a quick stop back home before heading downtown.
I got to work 10 minutes early and parked in my usual spot. Fridays I was done at 5 p.m. which would give me a head start on traffic. I needed to go home after work to retrieve my practice shoes and change into better clothes. I was hoping Lisa would be willing to go with me again. I didn't like going downtown by myself. I ask her when I had a free moment before they unlocked the doors. She said she'd love to go which was great so I told her I'd pick her up around 7. That would give me enough time to shower, put on clean clothes, grab a bite to eat along with my practice shoes.
Work was pretty steady for a Friday which was great I just wanted the day to be over with because I had to get home. The sooner I got out of work the better because I had to deal with traffic which is something I hated doing. The less traffic I had to deal with the better. I basically was just going home to shower, put on fresh clothes, make myself a sandwich and grab a bottle of water.
After lunch time went by pretty quickly. I saw Ken and Val today which was nice they were a couple I like to chat with when they were seeing a movie. I told them I was going to the Irish American Club after work they told me to have fun which I definitely would. I loved getting away from my responsibilities even if I do it more now than before. I was out the door by 10 minutes after 5 which as great timing. It wasn't long before I was on I-75 going north and before I knew it I was headed toward home with little to no traffic.
I got home around 6 and didn't waste anytime getting a shower. I changed clothes pretty quickly and made myself another chicken sandwich to eat on my way to pick up Lisa. I grabbed a couple bottles of water and my practice shoes. I was really looking forward to getting to work on my dancing even if it was just ceili dancing.
I got to Lisa's a little after 7 p.m. which was good, I decided to stop at McDonald's and grab a side salad and a large Coke. I need all the caffeine I could get. We got down to IAC at 8 p.m. on the dot which was unlike me since I was always early. The night went by pretty fast before I knew it, it was 10 p.m. and time to head home. I dropped Lisa off then headed home.
Once I got home I changed into my night clothes and then crawled into bed. I had no desire to get up early on a Saturday I just wanted to get some much needed rest because I still had practice sessions on Saturday afternoon. This Saturday would be the same as last week because Ms. Anne had somewhere she had to be later that evening.
-its getting late and I'm kinda tired. more tomorrow and i hope earlier since i added a new story that needs updating as well.
