Half-way through writing this, I realized that I didn't have to specify who was the Doctor... Oh well. In my head, it's Paul.
----------
Damian had a bit of a love-hate relationship with his new life.
On one hand, he was traveling with a strange man to strange places in a strange blue box. The entire situation was extremely bizarre, and nearly everything that the man did baffled Damian.
But on the other hand, it was all so fantastic; traveling through time and space, and saving people- whole worlds, even- day after day. It had only been a few days (or, at least, that's what it had felt like), but already he couldn't imagine his life being any other way. Things would just feel so empty without that curious man.
He called himself The Doctor. Damian was a bit skeptical of the title at first- there was no way someone that mental had a PhD in anything- but he'd just gone along with it after a while. Hey, the "Doctor" seemed to know what he was doing with that console thing. How else would he have gotten them to early-19th century Western America the other day?
Speaking of the console, that was the sort of control panel of the Doctor's... Vehicle.
It was called a TARDIS, the Doctor had said- all capitals necessary. Apparently, it stood for "Time and Relative Dimensions in Space". Damian assumed that just meant it was a time machine.
But no, it wasn't just a time machine. It was a thing. A creature. Somehow it was alive, and the Doctor frequently referred to it as a "she".
At one point, when the Doctor was off in one of the many obscure rooms within the TARDIS and Damian had been left alone in the console room, he had decided to find out if the blue box really was sentient.
"Say, TARDIS," Damian began, unsure of whether it had a name, or if it just went by 'TARDIS'. "Are you really alive?"
Suddenly, a puff of warm air blew at his face. He smiled.
"Does that mean 'yes'?" Damian asked.
More warm air.
"I see," He said. "What's 'no', then?"
A gust of cold air hit him, and he laughed.
"That's amazing," Damian breathed. "I mean, you don't look alive."
The TARDIS hummed.
"Oh, getting sassy, are we?" He chuckled.
He spent the rest of the day (or what he assumed had been a day) like that- sprawled out on the console room floor 'chatting' with the TARDIS, who made a surprisingly good conversational partner.
It was on that day that he realized just how marvelous it was to travel with the Doctor. And along with that, decided that he never wanted to leave.

Lopp if this is just to be a one-shot, Then it's a GREAT CT/DOCTOR WHO ONE SHOT! Love how Damo learned to talk to the TARDIS like she's a living breathing creature! Which of course she is!

I promised myself that this would just be a oneshot. But alas, I couldn't stop myself from writing a prequel.
----------
Damian stared at the two headstones sullenly. He knew he should feel more than just the cold, but he didn't. Nothing was reaching him except for the frigid air biting at his nose. His parents were dead for God's sake. He would soon be shipped off to Lisburn to live with his aunt.
He shivered. What would become of him and the life he used to know? What was he supposed to do without his parents there with him?
Sighing, he began to walk away from the headstones. He exited through the cemetery gates, and headed down the road to a nearby bus stop.
He had planned on being completely alone on the bus ride back to the apartment belonging to his sister (who had, unfortunately, not been able to gain custody of him). However, this expectation had been met with a bus containing only one open seat.
Reluctantly, Damian sat down, simply hoping that the man beside him wouldn't speak to him.
"Hello, there!"
...Darn.
"Hi," Damian mumbled back.
"D'ya mind if I ask you somethin'?"
"You just did," Damian said curtly.
"Really, lad? That's an old one. I mean, honestly," The man replied. "Anywho, would you happen to have seen anything strange 'round this area, lately?"
"Like what?" Damian raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, you know. Time rifts, cracks in the universe..." The man trailed off. "Anything that needs fixing."
"Are you insane, or something?" Damian asked.
The man shrugged.
"In a sense. It depends on your definition of 'insane'. Though, I have been referred to as such before," He said. "I'm the Doctor, by the way. You?"
"'The Doctor'? What sort o' doctor are you?" Damian frowned.
"The Doctor. Not a Doctor," The man corrected.
Damian stared at him.
"What, there's a difference?"
"Yes," The 'Doctor' said. "Now, from what I know, it's considered polite here to tell someone your name after they've told you their's."
"Fine, fine," The boy muttered. "M'name is Damian."
The Doctor smiled.
"Nice to meet you, Damo! Can I call you 'Damo'?"
"Sure?" Damian answered uncertainly.
"Brilliant!" The Doctor exclaimed. "Anywho, about those time rifts..."
The conversation went on. Or at least, The Doctor's side of it did. Damian simply sat quietly and listened. As time went by, The Doctor's ramblings began sounding odder and odder to Damian. This wasn't to say that the man wasn't interesting- he most certainly was- but he was... Bizarre.
The Doctor had mentioned something called the TARDIS- which was apparently his usual mode of transportation. Damian hadn't the faintest idea what a TARDIS was, but for some reason he was curious.
Another bit that stood out was about time travel which, apparently, The Doctor was capable of. This only intrigued Damian further.
Damian had to admit, he was a little disappointed when his stop came. He wanted to hear more about this Doctor fellow, but he knew that if he didn't head home, his sister would be worried.
"Well, this is my stop," Damian said. "I should go." He stood up.
"Ah, no worries," The Doctor waved a hand in dismissal. "It's mine, too. We'll walk together."
And so, they walked together- the Doctor continuing to babble on and on about his supposed adventures through time and space.
"...And those Weeping Angels! Lord, they're frightenin'. I don't recommend having a run-in with them. Nope. No, no, no, those things are-"
Suddenly, they'd stopped walking.
"Ah, here we are!" The Doctor grinned. "Home sweet home!"
Damian stared at the object that they'd stopped in front of.
"But," He said. "It's just a police box."
"On the outside, sure," The Doctor pulled a key out of his pocket, and unlocked the door to the police box. "Now, take a look inside. See if that changes your mind.
Damian complied, opening the box's door, and stepping inside. What he saw completely dumbfounded him.
The interior of the police box had to be a good hundred times the size of the exterior.
Damian furrowed his eyebrows. He stepped back outside, studied the police box again, then reentered it.
"What on Earth," He breathed.
"This is the TARDIS. She's dimensionally transcendental," The Doctor said from behind him. "Brilliant, eh?"
Damian nodded.
"You can come with me, if you like," The Doctor told him.
"I can't," He replied. "I mean... Yeah, I want to. But I have to get home to my sister, you know?"
The Doctor's smile fell.
"Oh. Right, I understand," He said. "You've got your life. You can't just drop everything and travel. Makes sense."
Damian bit his lip.
"H-hold on a minute," He whipped out his cell and dialed his sister's home number.
"Hey, Gemma?" He said.
The Doctor watched Damian in anticipation.
Damian smiled.
"Gemma, I'm gonna be a little late home."

For some reason, I want to write more of this, and have Ryan as the Master. But I also want him to be the next incarnation of the Doctor. I'm so conflicted. :I
Thing is, I'd probably have to rewatch The Sound of Drums/The Last of The Time Lords to write him as the Master. And it was so emotional the first time, I don't know if I can handle that again. Haha.
So, he'll probably be a more Eccleston-esque Doctor; brooding and angsty, but also delightfully quirky.
And then maybe Keith can be the incarnation after Ryan. And Keith would be more like Eleven. Or, you know, maybe Neil can be the one after Ryan...
Yeah, I dunno. I probably shouldn't make creative decisions at 2 in the morning. ...Nor should I be awake, for that matter.

Ack! He would be so perfect as either of them! Haha I cry every time I watch that episode... but it's so worth it, you know?? Keith would definitely be a good eleven *rolls eyes* haha Hey. Don't erase anything you wrote after 1 AM. Rule of thumb.

Ahaha. I just started writing Ryan as Captain Jack Harkness... Well. Let's see where I can go with this. See, now I want to involve the entirety of Torchwood Three. Which will inevitably lead me to write a separate Celtic Thunder/Torchwood fic. Oh, the things my mind produces. :\

A CT/Torchwood story would be great! Just be careful with Ryan as Capt Jack Harkness.... Jack is bi and Ryan isn't

I know. So far, these Doctor Who/Celtic Thunder bits are only based on DW- not set in the exact same universe. So, there'll be differences between these fics, and actual canon. As such, the same will go for Torchwood/CT. Slight differences- such as the sexuality thing.
And, as difficult as it can be with Torchwood, everything is G-rated! Hooray!
