Okay here is the next part!! Enjoy!
Cecily had been very surprised to see a gypsy girl sitting in the clearing, she had never seen a gypsy before let alone a girl and she studied her with interest and wonder
To Cecily she looked about 17, with her blue and green dress draped gracefully about her and her black hair blending in with the night, she reminded Cecily of a peacock or fairy something that was there but looked like it belonged in another world.
It wasn't until the girl moved and moaned a little that Cecily remembered why she had come there in the first place.
Walking silently over she stood over her for a moment, The whole village knew that Cecily moved like a cat and she had frightened everyone in the village just by appearing quietly behind them at one time or another.
Suddenly the girl glanced up and stared at Cecily with shock and wonder on her face, "What are you doing here?" she asked in amazement.
"Well that is an interesting question to ask someone who came to help you," said Cecily with a laugh as her brown eyes met the matching brown eyes of the gypsy girl.
Rose was shocked to see the girl of course but she was even more shocked that the girl had manged to get within a foot of her without her knowing that anyone was around.
Not even Ryan had ever been able to sneak up on Rose undetected.
Rose stared intently at the girl in front of her at that moment, she looked even younger and smaller from how she had looked from a distance, yet she met Rose's searching gaze with frankness and interest.
Cecily was amused at the gypsy girls expression and reaction to her being there, "I did think that you needed help, unless of course you don't need it," said Cecily.
"Sorry," Rose murmured, "It's just that I never knew a villager to think a gypsy is worth helping, let alone dare to come near without fear of being contaminated by us," she finished, her pain making her ideas come with blunt force.
Cecily listened to this observation calmly, realizing that everything this girl had just said was true of everyone in the village, even George the clan leader thought that way.
"Well that may be," said Cecily, "But I just want to help, where did you hurt yourself?"
"I twisted my ankle badly," replied Rose wincing a bit as she moved, Cecily was soon on the ground next to her looking at it.
Rose tried to pull her foot away but Cecily would have none of that , "No you don't, let me take a look, I help my Granny with this type of thing all of the time."
Examining her foot gently Cecily then set it down and walked to the trickling stream that was nearby.
Rose watched her curiously as she ripped a strip off the bottom of her petticoat off and tearing a smaller piece off as well.
Cecily came back over and with the wet cloth cleaned the dirt and bit of blood off her foot and elbow then gently wrapped her foot up.
Rose sat still the whole time allowing Cecily to do her work and just observing her curiously as she did so.
"How old are you?" Rose asked, "And what is your name?"
"Well aren't you curious,"said Cecily with a laugh,"I'll answer those questions for you if you will answer the same ones for me, as I am curious as well."
"Fine," said Rose with a smile, she liked this girl even more now then she had before.
"My name is Cecily and I am 13, and as you probably know I live in the village with my Grandmother."
Rose stared at Cecily her mouth hanging open, she had known that she was younger then her, but she had definitely not thought that she was older then 10.
"Please no catching flies they are not very nutritious," said Cecily with a twinkle in her eye, "And yes I am that old."
Rose managed to collect her scattered thoughts and said, "My name is Rose and I am 17,and as you know I am a gypsy."
I figured you were that old," said Cecily, "Now is there any way that we can get you back to your camp?"
Looking at Cecily who stood a quite a lot shorter then she was Rose said, "Maybe if you help me find a branch to lean on we can make it close enough to the camp that one of my friends can find me. Oh wait, how about the well, that is much closer and I know that someone will definitely find me there."
Cecily did not miss the reference to her height of the stress on the word someone, and she wondered who Rose meant.
Rose with Cecily's help managed to get to her feet and together they walked slowly and carefully until they arrived at the Midnight Well.
Rose was very impressed with how kind and considerate that Cecily was and started to wonder if maybe not all the world hated gypsys as much as she thought.
Finally after walking for what seemed like forever they arrived back at the Midnight Well, Rose being surprised that Cecily had managed to get back without getting lost.
Rose knew that Ryan was probably lurking in the forest or in one of the nearby trees and it was only a matter of time before he came out of hiding to see what had happened.
She wondered how Cecily would react when Ryan did come out.
