Only weeks away now, From an exciting new prospect. Never did I think, not in a million years I would ever set foot in America.
Seen the films, shows, read the papers, From this unfamiliar territory. Frightening, strange, but optimism trumps all. Just ten short days, A small taste of life across the sea.
Will I enjoy the experience, what will people think Of the Northern Irish visitor. Wondering how hot the South is, Sun in December, so I'm told. How can that be?
Me, used to never-ending dampness and grey skies. America, so different, does it never get cold, never know constant downpour? Guesses only, that may be proven false, Or made the truth, only time will reveal.
Jump in, with both feet Get an idea of life outside my sheltered isle. Experience, live, for at least a little while, What its like to live in the largest country in the world.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>^|£|+|¥|¥|¥|• so that's about my fears and happiness abot my first ever trip to America next month. Bear in mind it was written at 2am, so the quality of it might be a bit lower.

Well Dee! The weather all depends on what part of the U.S you are going to visit. Each region of the U.S has it's own weather patterns. Some are warmer or colder than others. Some get snow, while other parts get lots of rain. You have all the rest of December to do some reasearch on the area you are going to visit. I highly recomend you do the reasearch!

If you are heading to Southern Florida then yes there will be lots of warmth and sun. But nothing like what the temperatures are like in the summer! In Summer the temp can get well into the high 90's or over 100! But during this time of the year the temp does not go any higher than the mid 80's I believe!

80F! 0F=32C So I believe is you subtract 32 from 80 you will have your answer. I just did the math and right now Southern Florida is in the Mid 40'sC! This is all providing my math is correct!
