It's a question not uncommon: If you could, where would you go? Far off land, perhaps sunny Spain, Or the promise of the American dream?
Any land, any life, any reason. On a whim, pack up and just leave, For a job, a better future, different reasons We all have for taking that brave, bold step.
Me, I'm not hard to please, I think I'd like to see The snowlessness of bright California, Feel the buzz of New York at midnight.
Yes, anywhere would do, Anywhere I'd happily go with you. But America, oh to be there! The promises of happiness and a life anew Entice many a young person.
All those places I've never seen, They say though Ireland is green, America is paved with gold, opportunities abundant for the taking.
Maybe someday, not too far off a day, I'll go there, see the sights and rave to all, How grand America had been.
And after awhile home I'd return, Back to my hometown of Derry Content in having seen what I've heard so much of, Of the grandness of the American Dream.

Dee! Could possible have gotten the idea for this Poem because of Damian having to move from Ireland to LA for *Glee*! Great Poem! And if it where me I'd take Derry any day of the week! And you know the reason why!
