~*~*~ Well, here is the start of my new story... It won't be long, but I hope you enjoy it!~*~*~
Chapter One
From the moment Keith met Jessica O'Neill, he knew she was the one he would one day marry. After almost two full years of dating (tomorrow being their anniversary) Keith went to ask Mr. O'Neill for permission to marry his daughter.
Keith pulled into the driveway. Nervously he walked up to the door and knocked, knowing Jessica wasn't home, he knew who would answer the door.
"Keith, you know Jessica isn't home now, but I'll tell her ya stopped by when she's back," he said, cheerily. Jessica definitely looked like her dad. They had the same big green eyes and the same hair color, which was dark brown.
"Actually, sir, I came to see you," was Keith's nervous reply.
"Oh, I see. You had better come in," Mr. O'Neill said, looking more intimidating then when he first took Jessica out. He lead him into the living room and they both sad down.
"Whats on your mind, Keith?" Mr. O'Neill said presently. Already knowing what Keith would be asking.
"Well, sir," He started, and then cleared his throat. "I've been dating Jessica for almost two years now and I think I've made up my mind. I love Jessica and I want to marry her, but only with your permission?" Keith said, forgetting his nerves and speaking freely.
Mr. O'Neill stared at Keith for a minute, bringing back the comfortableness as he squirmed a bit in his chair trying to avoid the stare he was receiving. It wasn't a deceitful stare, it was one of those in deep thought stares. Finally, Mr. O'Neill broke out in a huge grin and said,
"It's about time you asked to marry my daughter! I only have one question, do you really and truly love her?" he asked, getting serious once more.
"I really and truly love her! And would never dream of doing anything that would hurt her in anyway," was the confident answer.
"Good, because I don't think there's anyone I'd rather have marrying my daughter. Good luck to you both," he said, shaking Keith's hand.
Keith could hardly contain his excitement. "Thank you so much! I have to call Jess now and plan something special for tomorrow night!"
Jessica's father just chuckled and watch him run out the door. He knew that they would live a long and happy life.
"Hello, Keith!" Came Jessica's cheery voice.
"Jess, I want you to go out with me tomorrow evening. Do you think you can make it?" Keith asked, knowing she was expecting him to ask her since it was their anniversary and all.
"I think I could make it! What kind of dress? Casual or Dressy?" She asked.
"Um, a little of both I guess."
"Alright, Keith, I'll see you tomorrow then."
"Ok, I'll pick you up at at 5:30."
"Alright, bye."
"Bye!"
Keith, who was usually late, arrived on time. He was wearing a nice pair of Jeans with his favorite cowboy boots and white button down shirt.
He saw Jessica waiting for him on the porch looking adorable in her tan skirt with white quarter length blouse. And the cowgirl boots he got her for her birthday. Her dark brown hair was pulled half way back in a clip with a little puff at the top so it wasn't too tight.
Keith helped her into the car and they were off. They presently pulled up at an adorable little cafe/restaurant.
"Oh, Keith. You are such a romantic. We came here on our very first date," Jessica said, sighing at the thought.
"That's why I picked it. Tonight has to be perfect," He replied, offering her his arm as they walked in.
They got their table and ordered what they wanted.
"Keith, thank you so much for this. It means the world to me," Jessica said, holding Keith's hand from across the table.
"You deserve it and much more. Why don't we skip having desert here and get some ice cream and go for a walk on the beach?" Keith suggested.
"That sounds great!" was the happy reply.
Keith called for the check, paid for their dinner and they left. On the way they stopped and got a strawberry banana split to split since they were both pretty fully from dinner.
After finishing their ice cream Keith asked, "Would you like to take a walk up the beach?"
"That would be nice."
Keith helped her up and they walked hand in hand looking at the scene in front of them; the moon was slowly rising making it's way over the ocean. It's brightness reflecting off each little wave that splashed up on the sand.
Keith thought it was a good moment and stopped and facing Jessica said,
"Jessica, tonight I wanted to be perfect for us because it's our anniversary." Jessica smiled and Keith kept going. "Ever since I finally got you to go out with me I knew I loved you and you would never believe how happy I was that you agreed to be my girl friend," he stopped and took a deep breath. "Jess, what I'm trying to say is, I love with all my heart and I want you to be with me for ever," at this point he got down on one knee and took out the little velvet box in his pocket opened and said, "Would you marry me, Jessica O'Neill?"
Keith waited with anticipation for her answer.
Jessica, with her eyes brimming with tears, replied,
"Yes, Keith. I would love to Marry you!"
Keith jumped up and spun her around making her laugh. He gently set her down and slipped the ring on her finger.
It was a simple silver band with one big diamond in the middle and three little ones on each side of the big one. Jessica was so happy. But happiness never lasts forever and the unhappy events that would happen the next day would be something Jessica would never expect.

***Here is the next post!! Get your tissues out *** Chapter Two The next day Keith could hardly contain his excitement from last night, so he decided he'd got for a harmless surf. "Mom, I'm going out to surf. I'll be back in an hour or two. If Jess calls, tell her where I'm at!" he called out before running out the door. "Alright, but you be careful. And if Jessica does show up, make sure she doesn't drown some how since she can't swim!" His mother yelled to him from the window. "I'll make sure of it! I'm not going to let anything happen to her!" He yelled before driving off. His mother just shook her head and went on with her baking. "That is one expensive looking ring," Jessica's older brother Jake commented letting out a whistle. She laughed and then said, "Thanks. I'm going to call Keith though and start doing a little planning. You should come along, he's been wanting to see you again since it's been a while." "Alright, I'll come. I've been looking forward to seeing him again too. Then I can give him the big brother talk," he said, teasingly. She just gave him a glare and then started talking to Mrs. Harkin who answered the phone. "Hello, Mrs. Harkin. Is Keith around?" She asked. "Oh, hello Jessica! You just missed him. He's at the beach, surfing like usually. He told me that you should meet him there though." "Oh, ok. I will! Bye!" "Well?" Jake inquired. "We're going to the beach!" Jessica said, jumping and dragging him to the car. When they arrived they couldn't see Keith, but finally spotted him about to catch one big wave. "I wish I could surf like Keith," Jake said. They always surfed together, but Keith was always better. Keith saw them on the beach and tried to wave, but this through him off balance and he fall of his board. From where they were standing it looked as if the board hit him on the head. And their fears were confirmed when Keith didn't re-surface. Jessica got worried and ran toward the water shouting out Keith's name at the top of her lungs. Jake followed her and grabbed her before she got into the water. "Jess, stop! You know you can't swim, and besides, that water is so cold you wouldn't make it with out a wet-suit. "Jake, please let me! I have to find him!" She shouted desperately, struggling even harder. "No, Jess. I won't let you do it," He said firmly dragging her up the beach. "Jake Please!" She screeched. By this point, there was nothing anyone could do. Jake kept a tight hold over Jessica as he called the a search team for Keith. ~*~ Keith saw Jessica and her brother Jake walking down the beach. He thought he would wave to them, but it through him off balance and fell. The shifting weight on the surf board made it fly up then come down hitting him on the head. Keith dizzy from the couldn't find the way back to the beach swam further out into the ocean. Tired from swimming, Keith realized that this was it. That one last glance at Jessica was the last he'd ever see of her, at least here on earth anyway. Keith heard one faint call of his name before plunging once again beneath the icy waves. ~*~ 2 hours later ~*~ Jessica, her family, and the Harkin's all stood on the chilly beach waiting, while search boats sped through the water. All was quiet except for the quiet sniffling of Rebbecca and her mom. Jessica wasn't giving up hope yet. A few minutes later they heard the hum of the search boats pulling up onto the beach. With hope in their hearts, they all walked forward to meet the captain of the search team. "I'm sorry, but all we found was this surfboard," he said, as one of the men set it down in the sand. "You found the board?! That means Keith could be near by. Maybe stranded on a rock or something!" Jessica exclaimed. "I'm sorry, ma'am. But that's not likely. I wish we could do more, but there isn't anything else we can do," He replied, looking down at his feet. "You mean you're just going to give up like that?" Jessica half whispered as tears welled in her eyes. There was no answer. "Keith could still be out there. He could be cold and in need of help and you're going to give up!" She screeched at him. "I'm sorry, but there's nothing else that can be done," he said, and walked away. Jessica broke down. Falling to her knee's next to the surf board she cried. "Keith not my Keith!" She cried out, running her hands down the surfboard. The Harkins left in despair. Mr. and Mrs. O'Neill both went home. Jake stayed behind with Jessica. Jake left her alone for a while, but since it was getting late he thought they should go home. "Jess, I think we should go home now," he said, kneeling next to her. Her body shook with sobs. She just nodded in defeat and he helped her and they went home. ***Please don't kill me for this update!!! also this is only going to be like 5 maybe 6 updates at the most***

*Meh poor wand, heres an update. Enjoy. Kinda!*
Chapter 3
The next morning Jessica woke up and immediately, the events from the day before played back in her mind. She closed her eyes tightly trying to keep the tears from falling, but as hard as she tried, more tears filled her eyes.
She shook from the sobs that made there way out. She never thought that something this horrible could happen to her.
"Keith, oh my Keith! You can't leave me here alone!" She said softly, as fresh tears poured from her eyes. Her eyes burned from all the crying and she felt a wave of weariness wash over her. Knowing a shower would help some what she went to try and calm herself with warm water.
When she got out she went to the kitchen. Hearing her father talking, she stopped to listen.
"The funeral is set for this Friday," he said grimly.
"I'm going over to the Harkins. I'm sure Deirdre needs someone right now!" Her mother said. Jessica, unable to control herself, walked into the kitchen and said,
"There is NOT going to be a funeral! Keith is not.... dead," She have whispered the last part.
"Honey, I know this is hard, but you have to understand the--" her mother started, but was soon cut off.
"The only thing there is to understand is that you guys have no hope at all! He will come back, I know he will!" She said, crying. She wiped her eyes and walked out of the kitchen.
~*~*~
"Easy there," Said Mr. O'Mally to his half water logged patient. Keith slowly opeend his eyes in wonder where he was.
"You had quite a swim there, young man. Are you feelin' better?"
"Where am I?" He asked drowsily, looking around the room. It was a quaint little cabin. Probably something people stay in over the summer.
"My name is Phil O'mally and this is my wife, Elizabeth and my daughter Kathy," Phil answered. "What's your name?"
"I'm Keith. Keith Harkin," Came this confused reply.
"Do you know some named 'Jess'? Because before your fever broke you were calling out for her," Elizabeth asked. Like a snap of a finger, all the memories of him and Jess came flooding back. He jumped up, but Phil kept him down.
"I have to go! Jess is my fiance and she's probably worried sick as well as my parents are!"
"Just hold on there on second. You can't go just yet, you're still very week," Elizabeth said, feeling his head once again.
"But I need to let 'em know I'm alright! They're probably planning my funeral!" He cried.
"Please, for me, wait until tomorrow?" Elizabeth said, with a pleading look in her eye.
"Alright, but we leave early tomorrow morning," was the determined answer.
"Ok, just get some rest now." And they left him to rest.
~*~*~
"Where could she be?!" Mrs. O'Neill fretted. They hadn't seen or heard form their daughter since early that morning. It was now nearing seven o'clock.
"I'll go look for her," Jake said. Having a pretty good idea where she'd be. Not wanting get his parents hopes up, he didn't say where he was going.
"Please find her!" Hi mother said as he headed out the door.
~*~
Jake pulled his car up at the beach, parked it and starting walking. He spotted Jessica sitting in the sand with her arms wrapped around her knees. Her chin resting on top of her knees, just staring out into the ocean. Waiting for Keith to just appear.
Jake slowly walked up to her and sat down next to her.
"Jess," he started, but before he could finish Jessica cut him off.
"If you're here to tell me theres no hope, then you can just save your breath," she said, her eyes filling with tears with every word.
"Well, I'm not here to tell you that, I'm here to bring you home!" He said, putting his arm around her shoulders.
"I just wish he was here!" She said, choking up. She cried into his shoulder until couldn't cry anymore.
"I know," He soothed. "I wish he was here too."
When they arrived home there were two cars in the drive way. They knew one was the Harkins, but they didn't recognize the others.
*so, did you like it? DId you really think I'd Kill Keith off? and uhh, sorry for some mistakes in there...*

Chapter 4
They walked into the house hearing the familiar voices of Keith's band mates. Jessica felt a lump in throat as she choked back the tears. How was she supposed to face them?
They made into the kitching where they were all sipping tea and discussing the wake tomorrow. They all looked awful. Damian eye's were red from crying. Ryan sat there with his hand on his mouth not saying a word. George had his arm around Damians shoulder. Emmet sat there with a sad look on his face. The only who was saying anything was Paul.
They all stopped talking when they saw Jessica and her brother walk in. George saw her red eyes and her tear stained face and immediately gave her a big hug. After a few minutes he released her and just kept his arm around her.
Jessica, we're so sorry about what happened to K---" Paul started to say, but was cut off.
"Don't say it, Paul. I've heard so many times already. Nothing is going to change my mind that Keith isn't alive still!" Jessica said, in a low whisper.
"Jess, if there was any more evidence that he made it through then we wouldn't be here right now," Paul said, quietly trying not to get her upset.
"Then go back home, because there isn't going to be any funeral!" She snapped.
"Jessica, calm down. Paul's right," Her mother countered.
"I-I'm sorry, Paul. This... this is just really hard for me, "She said, and then left the room.
~*~*~*~*~
Keith, yo must rest!" Elizabeth said, early Thursday morning. Keith was trying to get out of bed. "Phil! Phil come in here and stop him!"
"Thank you for all that you've done, but I really have to go. My family friends, and fiance are probably so worried right now!" He said, as tried to push him back down on the bed.
"Liz, let the boy go. He looks fine to me and he's very anxious to get going..." Phil said, smiling brightly.
"Can you please take me to the beach I was by when you found me?" Keith asked, pulling a jacket on.
"Sure. Let's get going, it takes a while to get there!"
"Alright,. Bye Elizabeth and Kathy. Thank you for everything!" Keith said, as they speed away. ~*~*~
"Are you sure you won't come with us?" Jake asked, once more before going to the wake with the others.
"I'm sure," was the answer he received. Jake sighed and left. Jessica sat in her room, staring out the window. Down in her heart she believed he was alive, but in the back of her mind she couldn't help but feel he had left her. She scolded herself for thinking such thoughts, but she couldn't help but think that.
She had been told many times, if he wasn't back by now he wasn't coming back. And he would never come back. Everyone told her she needed to move on with her life, but she refused to listen.
Jessica's family left for the wake early, just so they could be there with the Harkin's during this hard time. She knew that she should be there, just out of respect, but she just couldn't go and face all those people.
She couldn't take being in the house any longer so she took a drive and she ended up at the beach. The beach where she and Keith had made so many memories.
She walked along the beach until she came to the spot where Keith's surfboard had been laid down. Where she had been told there was nothing to do but go home. She felt weak and fell to her knee's. She pulled her knee's up to her chest and rested her chin on top of them while tears made a river down her face. She sat there along time, just thinking of her life then and now. What was she going to do if he didn't come back?
***Oh my word, we are so close to the end. Next update is the last one! Stay tuned for more***

Chapter 5
Tears began to slowly make there way down Jessica's face, she willed herself to stop crying, but it was impossible. The lack of sleep and the emotions she was feeling were tearing her apart on the inside. She just had to let it all out. Crying was the only way she could do it.
She remembered all the fun times her and Keith had on this exact beach. When ever they were sad or happy they would come here. She remembered him telling her singing was the best way to deal with emotions. So that's what she did. She hummed one of her and Keith's favorite songs. Soon the humming turned into words,
"I wanna take you to the Island and trace your foot-prints in the sand. And in the evening, when the sun goes down," she stopped she choked back tears when she heard a familiar voice sing the rest.
She turned around to see Keith, with his hands in his pockets and a big smile on his face, walking slowly down the beach toward her.
"Keith," She whispered, not believing her own eyes. After getting over the shock, she jumped to her feet and ran straight in to Keith's arms knocking him over. She stayed there for a long time, then she heard him chuckle has stroked the back of her head.
She was crying again, but this time her tears were of pure joy.
"Keith," she said after a while. "I knew you would come back. No one would have hope though, and then I was starting to believe..." She stopped, and then continued as she wiped her eyes at the thought of him being dead. "I was starting to believe I would never see you again. Everyone is at your wake right now."
"You didn't go?" He asked, with one eye brow raised in surprise.
"I couldn't. I couldn't go when I still had the tiniest spark of hope in side me. Telling me that you were OK and we'd be happy again," She said, as they stood up.
"I'm happy you didn't give up on me," He said, giving her a light kiss on the cheek.
"I better call and tell them the great news," Jessica said, wiping her eyes once more.
"Hey, let me call. It'll be a good surprise for them," He said taking her phone. Keith typed in the number he wanted to then waited a bit. After a while he said, "Hello. Mum, it's me Keith. Mum? Mum Hello? Mum are you still there?" He took the phone away from his ear and said to Jessica, "I think she fainted."
"Tell you what, why don't we just go to the funeral home where the wake is and you can tell them all yourself?" Jessica said, smiling as he slid his arm around her waste and they walked together to her car.
"Sounds good to me, love." He replied, sweetly.
After the events of the last few days, it was decided that Keith and Jessica would be married in two weeks time. Everyone was sure they'd have the happy ending they thought wouldn't be possible for a while. But having hope proved well for Jessica, for now she couldn't be happier.
The End.
*** Well, this was it. I might have an epilogue, but for now this is the end. I hope you all enjoyed it. And you didn't really think I'd Kill Keith, did you? Thanks for sticking with this story for so long even though my updates took for ever ;D ***
