I'm extremely happy with this one! Hope you guys enjoy it. And of course I'll be posting in parts!
It was a beautiful summer day in Ireland. A young girl was standing by the ocean, taking in that glorious ocean breeze. She was a typical irish girl. Red hair, blue eyes, and fair skin.
As she stood there, she played with her claddagh ring, gently twisiting it back and forth. She thought about being 17 yrs. old and never having a relationship with a guy. She didn't really care either. All she really cared about was her beloved Ireland. She felt it was a part of her, which it practically was. She was born here.
"MEAGAN!!!!!!!" yelled an old voice from down the beach.
It brought Meagan back to earth. She looked down the beach and saw her grandfather motioning for her to come.
She yelled, "I'm coming!!!", and started making her way towards her grandfather's house. Meagan never liked going inside on a glorious day but, her grandfather needed her.
Once she got there, she noticed her grandpa standing on the porch holding....her shoes?
"How many times have I told ye....don't go walking without yer shoes."
"I'm sorry grandpa. The sand just feels so good between me toes."
"What if ye stepped on a peice 'o glass?"
"Yes grandpa I know. We've had this talk alot." laughed Meagan
"I just don't want ye to get hurt. Now, are ye going to the neighbor's party tomorrow night?"
"Grandpa, they're not neighbors. They live 10 miles down the road!" giggled Meagan
"Well, they are the closest people to us, so they are neighbors." he said, matter-of-factly
"Even if I did want to go, I have nothing suitable to wear."
"All ye have to do is go buy something in town!" he chuckled
"Okay grandpa! You win! I'll go into town and buy a new dress." laughed Meagan
After Meagan got showered and dressed, she drove into Dublin, which was about an hour away.
Meagan actually lived in Dublin with her dad, but she came out on weekends to stay with her grandpa.
She arrived at her favorite store, run by her two best friends.
She walked inside and saw right away the dress that she wanted. It was short, came down almost to the knees. It was green, and it had a few shamrocks on it.
"We knew you'd want that one Meagan!" said Lizzie
"Obviously! You guys know how much I love green AND shamrocks!" laughed Meagan
"What are YOU buying a dress for?!" asked Kristy, jokingly
"Grandpa wants me to go to the neighbor's party tomorrow night...." said Meagan, rolling her eyes
"That party sounds like it's going to be great craic though!" said Lizzie
"Yeah I know.... but you guys know me! I'm not that type."
"I hear Damian McGinty's going to be there!" said Kristy
"Who's that?" asked Meagan
"He's only one of the hottest guys ever!" said Lizzie
"You and your men!" laughed Meagan
"Seriously Meagan! You outta try and talk to him! I hear he is a really nice guy." said Kristy
"If he wants to talk, he'll have to make the first move." said Meagan, firmly
