*This Is A One Time Update So This Is All To The Story. Sorry, It's Hard To Manage These With The Others*
I was standing there at the corner, minding my own business. I had Paul yelling at me to move on, but I couldn't, I mean this is MY CORNER!
"Come on Damian! Just move away from that corner of yours!" Paul yelled to me. I didn't want to move, this corner was the same place I met a beautiful girl named Madi. I was 15 then and she was 14. I told her to meet me at the same corner every week for a year.
"I'm waiting for someone!" I yelled to him giving a small smirk on my face. Oh Paul hated as I would wait for Madi. I'm 16 know and yes Madi still comes every week she's in Derry.
"Damian! Damian!" I heard Madi yelling as she ran down the street, "Damian you're back! You're back from tour!"
"I'm back from being grounded and the tour. How long have you been coming to see me?" I asked hugging Madi.
"2 months but it was worth it. I mean I loved how long we didn't talk for so long but I missed just seeing you every week here."
"Damian, can we please move on?!" Paul yelled walking away.
"Mr. Byrom don't you want to say hi?" Madi asked racing over to him and jumping on his back.
"Never did I say I didn't want to say hi I just want Damian to move away from that place once in his life. He seems like he's obsessed just over that corner."
"Mr. Byrom I ain't no cause of his obsession I must say. He just loves it I mean read all around it!" The two walked over to the corner and read what people had wrote on the walls around the corner.
'I met Mc Ginty here <3 -Rebbecca F.'
'I feel in love with Damo here! -Sydney K.'
'Damian, you're an inspiring teen to me. -Ryan L.'
'Go and kick some butt on tour. I'll miss you at school! -Rory'
'I'll miss you lad when you're gone. Glad I met you here on 11-11-2007 <3 -Chelsea Q.'
'I wish the moment you hugged me here never ended. I wish you where back home. You're a lovable teen who will go out and win the world with your heart. You have so many fans here in Derry just waiting for you to come back. Never forget who helped you in the beginning. <3 -Gemma Mc Ginty'
"Paul, I'm sorry you never knew just how many fans here I have wanting me to come every week and met them here," I whispered, rubbing my finger over my sisters mark.
"You're a model to the world, especially here in Derry. Even your sister left a mark for you and is that why it's so special to you this corner?" Paul asked putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Not just because she left it, that's one of the reasons but I met Madi here and we meet every week. All of these marks on the wall just remind me how special this town is to me."
"He's a special child I tell you, Madi. This kid won't stop talking about Derry, it's all his life besides fottie."
"I take these marks to the heart, Mr. Byrom. Madi though never left a mark for me," I pushed Madi handing her the same metal rod everyone wrote with.
'Damian, your my best friend and even without you I still come here just to see if you ever will come back. You did and know I'm always here for you no matter what happens to you. <3 -Madi W.'
"Good with it?" Madi joked. I grabbed her and watched the metal rod drop from Madi's hand.
"Perfectly fine with it," I whispered in her ear, kissing her cheek. Paul smacked my shoulder and dragged me away. As he dragged me away, I waved goodbye to Madi.
"Like Frank said!" Madi yelled.
"I did it my way," I smiled yelling back.
I came back a week later hoping Madi would be there, she wasn't. A newspaper hung up on the wall. The article read:
"14 year old, Madi Wales, went missing on Saturday 7 February, 2009 around 16:35. Reported Friday 13 February, Madi was found dead outside her killers home in Derry City, Ireland."
I would never see her again; I wanted her to come with; Paul said no to her so many times; and now she's Dead, and I never got to say goodbye. I walked home and laid on my bed, hoping maybe a wee bit of relaxing would help me forget.
"Like Frank said."
"I did it my way."
