Part 1
"What if I never joined Celtic Thunder?" 18 year old Damian McGinty wondered. "Cousin, if you never joined the world would be different. Life would be different and you wouldn't be going to America like you enjoy doing," 16 year old Conor McGinty replied. "I guess it would be different. But what if...." "Damian, you have a letter!" his mom spoke from the other room. "Who is it from?" Damian asked walking into the other room with Conor following. "Sharon. Why would she be sending you a letter?" Conor questioned. "Mom, did I do something wrong?" Damian opened the letter and began reading. "Read it out loud, cousin." "Dearest Damian, Though I don't like saying goodbye, I must say it to you as I did our great friend, Paul Byrom. I am aware you are just a kid, but as you tour the world with Celtic Thunder, I feel like you are not learning as much as you should be. For, as sad as this is to say as to read, I not allowing you to come back to Celtic Thunder until you finish University. I am quiet sad about your grades and attitude to school. Please, after graduating from University, I am gladly hoping you return. I hope this is not our last goodbye, though tell then, Goodbye Damian. Sorry, Sharon Browne," Damian read as he began to shed a few tears. His emotions built up inside him, as he realized many fans would become upset. "Damian...." Conor tried finishing. "Mom, did you know about this?" Damian asked dropping the letter to the ground. "She mentioned it to me once, but I never thought she would go through with it," Mrs. McGinty answered. "I can't believe you wouldn't tell me!" Damian yelled running out of the house. "Aunt, not a good idea." "No it wasn't. I should of talked to her about it before I gave him the letter." "That would of been a good idea. We can't just let him run. We have to get him before he causes trouble." Conor and Mrs. McGinty began to run after Damian throughout the streets of Derry. At first the two didn't know where to look, but Conor recognized the tear drops on the street. The tears ended up at Damian's University, where he laid on a bench crying. "Damian!" Conor yelled running and jumping onto him hoping it would make him a wee bit happier. "Conor, why me?" "I don't know, cousin." "It's ironic we were just talking about what my life would be without Celtic Thunder. I'm never going back to there or home." "Don't stay here. Please, your reputation seems reined now, and if you stay here on this bench it'll be worst. You must come home!" "Conor, I don't have to come home!" "Damian! Listen to me! You don't have anywhere else to go but home!" "I have Paul!" "Like your parents will let you move to America!" "Way to doubt everything." "I'm saying truth, cousin!" "Then there's Keith. I can be with..." "The guy who goes to the bar or pub every night?" "I don't want to go home!" "YOU HAVE TO GO HOME!" "I don't need to!" Damian tried getting his point out knocking Conor to the grass, along with himself, as they began laughing. "Your laughing?" Conor asked. "I guess I'm not allowed to?" Damian asked getting off Conor. "So fast was your sadness. We know the answer to if you never joined Celtic Thunder." "What is it, Conor?" "You wouldn't change. You would of been the same as you are now. You just won't have traveled so much and your grades would of been better. Your never going to change." "Conor, maybe your craic makes me stay Damian Joseph McGinty Junior." "I'm kind of glad you're going to be back in Derry more." "I kind of do to. Let's hope Sharon let's me still come in just for a visit." "Your going to miss them aren't you?" "The lads? Yes much. Sharon? Quiet. Phil? Oh my yes. Paul? I already do." "Damian! Is it true your staying in Derry again?" Rory, one of Damian's friends, asked running over to the two. "Rory! He is staying! Sharon said he can't tour tell after University." "That was your dream?" "Rory, Conor is just too happy I'm here. Sometimes dreams can't always stay true." "I'm glad your back son," Mrs. McGinty walked over to join in.

Part 2
Damian and the others returned back to the McGinty house as Damian carried Conor for the fun of it. Rory hadn't understood much about why Damian was staying back in Derry for awhile. "Conor, your going to hurt Damian," Mrs. McGinty joked with a serious tone. "Your son need it!" Conor yelled. "Wow! Cousin, don't have to be so rude! You could be caring me?" Damian surprised stopping at the beginning of their street. "You'll kill me! Just craic Damian! Keep going!" "This isn't going to happen every time you stay. So please don't make this a habit." "Oh. Damian, you'll see how it's going to be. Keep going!" "I'm going! Stop yelling at me! Your going to be the last one in the house." "Not unless you hurry up and we are the first!" "Then get off my back and Run!" Damian jerked getting Conor to fall off his back. "Ready. Set. Run!" Conor yelled. The two raced to see who would get to the house first. Damian sprinted in front of Conor at first keeping his lead tell the end. As Conor began catching up, Damian had just reached the door, and Conor jumped on his back as he opened the door. "Uncalled for! I won!" Damian tried saying as he landed in-between the door frame. "I told you you'll see what it's going to be like. Hey, isn't your birthday soon?" "In nine days, not like I really am going to enjoy it as much as I use to." "YOUR GOING TO BE NINETEEN!" "Okay. That doesn't mean I'm going to enjoy it." "Damian, don't." "Don't what?" "Never mind," Conor whispered helping Damian up. 'Has he forgotten what he just tried running away because? Let's just not bring it up. He won't start breaking down if I don't say anything.' "Thanks, no but really what?" "Don't worry Damian. I guess your just going to have to wait." "You know I don't like WAITING!" "Your older than me but act younger." "Your craic Conor, but your cousin." "DAMIAN!" Rory yelled running into him. "Yes?" Damian asked laughing. "What's this?" Rory showed the letter he found on the ground. "CONOR!" Damian yelled as he began crying and running to his room. "Rory, you had to?" Conor wondered running after Damian to his room. As he reached his room, Damian was not to be seen. You only heard crying coming from the closet, knowing it was Damian's. Conor recognized his feet, and cleared a spot so he could sit. "Stop talking about it around me!" Damian yelled. "Rory brought it up. You can't blame me for you dropping the letter where anyone can read it." "You could of moved it." "Damian, why do we even fight? I'm going to do something stupid and your going to laugh at it and be back to normal." "Stop Conor." "What am I doing?" "Your trying to be smart," Damian whispered trying to stop crying. "I don't like seeing you cry," Conor whispering back, wiping the tears of Damian's face. Rory stood outside the closet not exactly sure what was going on. He could see Conor give Damian a hug but couldn't understand a word they tried saying. "Conor, when are you going back to Donegal?" "The tenth, so we have ten days together." "Are you two coming out anytime soon?" "Rory, stop bugging Damian and I," Conor joked grabbing his leg. "Craic!" Damian yelled grabbing Conor's jeans. "Damian!" Conor jerked kicking Damian. "Conor!" Mrs. McGinty yelled walking into the room. "Damian Stop!" Conor pulled on Rory's leg hopping he would get loose. "Stop moving Conor!" "Why?" "Look behind you and you'll see," Rory laughed. Conor looked behind him and realized Damian was pulling his jeans down. "Seriously Damian?" Conor embarrassed releasing his hands from Rory's leg to pull his jeans up. "Stop!" "Damian stop!" Mrs. McGinty said grabbing Conor's hand. "Everything alright?" "Besides what just happen? Ask Damian." "Mum!" Damian shouted jumping out of the closet onto Conor's back as he fidgeted with his jeans. "I just wanted to say supper was ready." "Did you make my favorite?" "Conor! Are you alright? I always make it for you!" Mrs. McGinty spoke as Conor began jumping around with Damian still on his back. The family and Rory all enjoyed Conor's favorite Irish Dinner, as Conor nearly died tasting it. Once they finished, and Rory left, Damian and Conor raced to Damian's room. It was quite late and Conor was exhausted from all the McGinty play Damian provided. "Conor, your going to fall asleep on me?" Damian shaking Conor, who was laying on his bed half asleep. "What do you want Damian?" Conor asked. "Wake up! Wake up!" "GO TO BED DAMIAN!" "Your no fun sometimes, Conor," Damian said laying in his bed trying to fall asleep. Mrs. McGinty walked in not long after they both were asleep and watched them. "This is PRICELESS," Mrs. McGinty mentioned showing Mr. McGinty. The two were asleep with Conor looking like he was going to jump on Damian's back.

Part 3
"Wake up Damian!" Conor yelled shaking him. "Ugh! What time is it?" Damian complained. "8! You have to go to University!" "WHAT!? No! No! No!" "Huh?" "Conor, I'm suppose to be there at 7!" Damian shocked. "Take it off!" Conor cried getting Damian to the ground, "Take a break!" "And get Sharon mad at me? Get off me!" "Why are you so," Conor began as Damian throw him off himself, "STOP!" "Leave me alone!" Damian yelled running toward his door. "Damian stop. Conor are you alright?" Mrs. McGinty stood in front of the door. "Yes. I am," Conor in pain said laying back on the bed. "Would you like to explain?" "No," Damian holding in his anger. "Damian sit, your not going today even if it's Friday." "Mum!" "Damian! Stop, you seriously need to stop! Conor, what ever you don't even think about talking about it around him!" "I can't help if others bring it up! You seriously think I try and bring it up? Your the one that knew that Sharon was releasing him!" "Damian, you need to get over it. I can't stand you crying all of the sudden just so Conor does something funny and makes you happy." "Mum, Conor is criac! If she told me before I might of not been like this! IT'S SHARON'S FAULT!" Damian yelled bolting out of his room to the University. Conor couldn't get his body to do anything and Mrs. McGinty couldn't take him running away everyday. Damian ran trying not to cry on his way to the University. He stood outside one of the buildings and reached for his phone in his pocket. At first thought, Damian called Ryan hoping he wasn't busy at such an early time. "Ryan?" Damian questioned as someone picked up the phone. "What's wrong Damian?" Ryan asked worried, "Is everything okay?" "Can you come pick me up?" "I can't right now. I'm in Donegal with Keith, sorry," Ryan could hear tears on the other side start up, "Are you trying to tell me something Damo?" "I'm not going on tour this year! Sharon gave my mum a letter saying not tell I finish University." "We need to talk, one-on-one. I'll be over there as quick as I can," Ryan whispered just before hanging up the phone. Damian felt lost inside, not knowing what was going on. 'Why is the world ending now? What have I done to cause everyone's life be as hurtful as mine?' For an hour, Damian stood at the building moving only to the bench when he noticed Ryan running over to him. "Damian, are you sure your alright?" Ryan asked wiping the tears of his face. "I don't know what to do. And I'm tired of fighting with everyone. I just want to leave Derry sometimes," Damian trying to stop the tears hugging Ryan. "It's going to be alright. I know you don't want to, but you have to go home." "I know I do, but that's the last place I want to be. Why can't I come back with you?" "I'm sorry Damo, you can't come with us." "Then why must I go home?" "Your mum will be worried." "Conor is the only one who would be worried." "Come on, Damo, let's go." "I hate having to do things others tell me to do." "Damian, I'm sorry," Ryan apologized as the two went into his car. "Don't cry." "Go." "As you wish," Ryan joked as he began driving to Damian's house. Conor sat in front of the door, with tears coming down his face. The car pulled into the driveway, but Conor didn't realize. "Conor, I'm sorry for yelling at you. I'm sorry for hitting you. I'm sorry for embarrassing you in front of my mum. I'm sorry for all the crying. I'm sorry for everything," Damian spoke as he came out of the car to Conor. "I'm sorry for making you late to the University, even though you never went. I'm sorry for making you cry. I'm sorry for making you run away. I'm sorry for fighting with you over the smallest things. I just don't want you to change." "I'm not changing, ever. I'm always going to he your older cousin. I'm always here for you even if you cause me pain. I'd die if you weren't here." "Damian, tell your mum I'll talk to her later," Ryan yelled to Damian just before he left back to Donegal. "You want to go back inside, Conor?" "Yes," Conor answered as Damian picked him up and carried him to Damian's room. Mrs. McGinty laughed as she saw them going by. "Glad Ryan helped you Damian," Mrs. McGinty said as she had figured it was Ryan whom brought Damian back.

Part 4
Damian walked into his room and throw Conor on to the bed. He wasn't the happiest he had ever been but knowing Conor was still staying over made him happy. Damian could hear Ryan's car leave, whiting he hadn't. "You called Ryan to get you?" Conor asked grabbing Damian's arm trying to get him not to walk away. "When Paul is not here, Ryan is here. You have a text message," Damian answered throwing Conor's phone at him. "Jennie!" Conor yelled jumping on Damian's back. "Jennie Byrne? Neil's relative?" "She's not related to Neil!" "What about her?" "She said Yes!" "Congratulations Conor! Your a boyfriend to Miss. Byrne! Should I tell Neil?" "NO! No ones suppose to know!" "Well it's not much of a secret since you told me." "Don't tell anyone, please?" "MUM! Come here!" Damian yelled. "Two seconds!" Mrs. McGinty replied as she suddenly walked in, "Yes Damian?" "Guess who Conor is dating?" "Who are you dating Conor?" "No one, I'm dating no one." "He's lying, he's dating Jennie Byrne." "Neil's relative?" "NO! SHE'S NOT RELATED TO NEIL!" "Damian, your craic. Conor, trying to keep it a secret from everyone?" "Yes, but Damian is going to spread it around, watch it." "I'm not going to Conor!" "Stop lying Damian," Mrs. McGinty said leaving the room. "Damian, what are we going to do?" "I don't know. What do you want to do on this sunny day?" "Let's go get something from the PUB. You haven't ate all day have you?" "Conor, do you think like I felt like eating?" "You ran, I don't know how you feel?" "Hurt, sad, pain, your dream given up, like your going to cry, and the fear of the end." "No, I have never felt that way. Let's go!" Conor jumping off Damian's back racing him to the door. "Forgetting your phone?" Damian asked throwing it at him once again. "Jennie texted you, again." "I know. She's meeting us at the PUB." "Go!" Damian ran over to Conor, trying to push him outside. The two walked to the PUB joking around in the streets, pushing each other in front of passing cars and chasing birds who had been resting. "Hello?" Conor questioned answering his phone. "Conor! Tell Damian to answer his phone," Keith replied. "What for?" "Didn't we tell you about the secret?" "At the PUB?" "Are craic? YES! Aren't you heading over?" "Yes. Why are you calling me?" "Conor, I'm on Rebecca's cell phone not mine. Hurry up!" "Whatever! We're going our own way. Bye," Conor hung up the phone looking up at Damian. "What was with that?" Damian asked. "You'll have to see," Conor answered pushing Damian in front of a car. The two continued walking to the PUB, with Damian wondering what he has to wait to see. As they reached the PUB, Damian became nervous on what he had been waiting for. Conor opened the PUB door and mimicked Damian to follow. Keith ran over tackling Damian to the ground, "Happy Early Birthday McGinty!" "Keith!" Damian yelled in pain. "Get off him Keith! Damian, I told you I was busy," Ryan said walking over helping Damian up. They smiled and watched as Conor walked away with a 14 year old, dark brown hair, blue eyed, tall, yet skinny girl. "How old is Miss. Byrne turning?" Keith asked. "15 on the 30th. I see we shared our birthday since you guys are going to he gone." "We're sorry, that's why we planned this out. I mean today's the 2nd your birthdays the 9th. We want to spend some time with you lad," Ryan joked. "We did today," Damian mentioned a wee bit sad. "Is everything okay?" Keith wondered. "Damian ran away today, but I brought him back and know he's here trying to pretend he's happy." "I apologized to Conor about everything. That deserves something!" "Gratitude! Enjoy your party!" Ryan yelled pushing Damian into the crowd around the bar. Damian walked away and realized he didn't know many people that came. Most of the guest were friends of Jennie, who was kissing Conor in the back of the PUB. He walked around about four times then decided just to sit alone at a conner table, and watch everyone else have fun. An hour pasted and Damian still continued sitting, not having fun. Ryan walked by and saw him sad. "Damian, why aren't you enjoying your party?" Ryan asked. "Truthfully, I enjoyed the idea at first tell I realized there all here for Jennie. And Jennie is just here to kiss Conor, which the way he looks, he doesn't enjoy anymore," Damian observed. "I'm sorry, I guess Keith and I won't plan a double birthday anymore. Go home if you want." "I don't want to." "Then why are you still here?" "Because, sometimes it's right to stay at something for you even if you don't enjoy it."

Part 4.2 (Deleted)
"Jennie is related to Neil," Ryan mentioned just before leaving. "Then I was right the whole time," Damian stood up. "She doesn't really want any of us to know. I was talking with her before everyone came." "She was suppose to celebrate her supper early birthday not he here before." "She felt like being apart of our plan, but I think Jennie invited more of her friends than yours." "That sounds like her though." "How long have you known her?" "I was 14 when I first met her. She was 10 and one of Conor's best friends."
