Based off of something that happened to me while in the store...except no one saved me!
“Are you kidding me?!” Keith fumed, crossing his arms in agitation. “We’re only got one day in Florida, and we’re spending it at the store.”
For once, Damian and Keith were in agreement. “I mean, it’s not even like we’re at the mall or something. We just HAD to come the good ole grocery store.” He huffed.
“We just need to pick up a few things for Sharon.” George explained again.
“Florida!” Keith exclaimed. “I’m in Florida, and I’m not surfing!” he gave a mock sniffle. “I’m gonna cry.”
“Oh calm down Keith,” Ryan said, rolling his eyes. “Keep complaining and Sharon will kick the lot of you out.”
“Not me!” Paul held his head high. “She wouldn’t risk losing ALL the fans.” He sarcastically sneered before laughing.
“Spare me.” Keith muttered, shoving his arm.
Completely enthralled in their slagging, they hardly noticed when a nearby girl faltered, almost crashing to the ground.
Almost, only because Ryan had caught her arm. “Are you all right miss?” He asked, a concerned expression on his face.
“Oh,” She said, looking up at her rescuer. “Thank—woo…” Her head felt as though it was spinning.
“I believe the proper expression is ‘Thank YOU.’” Keith joked.
“I’m sorry,” She apologized. “I’m just a little dizzy is all. I’ll be fine now.”
“If you’re sure…” Ryan released her arm.
“Uh-huh,” She straightened. “Thank you though.”
“Not a problem” With that she moved away from them.
“You like her!” Damian giggled like a school girl.
“This coming from our local casanova?” Ryan laughed.
“Better a casanova than a heartbreaker!” Damian grinned proudly at his cleverness.
“Same thing Damo.” George corrected.
Damian’s muttering was interrupted when they heard a crash from the next aisle over,
Ryan sprinted to the source of the sound, fearing the worst.
His fears were brought to life when he saw the girl he had helped only minuets before, sprawled in the middle of the deserted aisle, he purchases scattered around her from when she dropped them.
As he elevated her head, she came to. “Apparently you weren’t as all right as you let on.” She smiled weakly.
“She might have hit her head,” Paul said, worried.
“You’re right.” Ryan looked down at her again. “What state are we in?”
“F-florida…” She answered unsteadily.
“What store?” She answered again. “What’s your name?” he asked with a smirk.
“Stacy,” she told him.
“Can he get your number with that?” Keith commented.
Stacy looked back up at Ryan, getting lost in those oh so confusing eyes of his. “Only if he tells me his name too.” She had a smile of her own.
He couldn’t stop beaming. “I can live with that arrangement.”
