I just thought up this idea, it's a mix between the movies Return to me and PS I love you. Please let me know what you think.
In a small apartment in the center of Dublin, Ryan and his wife Caroline are living their mostly happy married life. Like every couple they have their ups and downs. Ryan was an accountant, and worked for one of the banks in the city. Caroline was a dance teacher at a local dance academy. "I cannot believe you said that to my mother," states Caroline.
"Said what love?" asks Ryan confused.
"That you were ready to have kids but I wasn't," replys Caroline.
"I didn't say that," he sighs.
"Maybe not directly but it was implied," she answers.
"Sweetheart, that's not how I meant... You're right i was completely wrong for telling your mother that," says Ryan.
"I'm sorry, I completely blew that out of proportion," replys Caroline.
"Shall we call it even then," replys Ryan pulling her in for a kiss.
"We shall," she answers leaning in toward his kiss.
Several weeks later the two are on their way home from a party that the bank was hosting. It began to rain so heavy that you could barely see, there was a sharp curve on the road that a truck couldn't make in time and turned right into Carolines side of the car. The ambulance came and the paramedics took her to the hospital, Ryan didn't only had a few minor injuries. They took Caroline into surgery, sadly the doctor came out and told Ryan that she didn't make it.
there is happier stuff to come, if you want me to keep going

The doctor comes into Ryan's room where he had been resting and just finished being looked over. "Mr. Kelly, I hate to tell you this. But I am sorry to say that your wife didn't make it, and I'm sorry to have to ask this, but we have it on file that your wife was an organ donor and it we need your permisson, because we have a young lass here who happens to be a match to your wife needing a heart transplant," says the doctor.
"That will be fine, she would want to help whoever is in need," replys Ryan.
"Thank you Mr. Kelly, we will let you know when you can see her," replys the doctor.
A month passes, Ryan busy writing thank you notes. While scowering the attic looking through a box with stationery he uncovers a letter that his written in Caroline's handwriting. 'To my dear Ryan, I love you and I want you to know that I always have and always will. I know this might be a bit morbid, or not depending on the situation. But I just wanted to let you know how much I love you and you mean the world to me, before we parted. With all my love, Caroline.'
"Why did I have to find this now," Ryan asks himself. He continues writing his thank you notes from the funeral.
That night he finally gets a restfull night sleep after weeks of not being able to following the funeral. That night he also dreams about Caroline and her telling him to pursue his dreams, because she knew he was unhappy with his job at the bank and that music was always a passion of his.
Ryan here's a knock at the door the next morning, "Ryan, are you alright in there?" he hears coming from the other side.
"Yes Paul I'm fine," replys Ryan opening the door.
"We were worring about you mate, you haven't been answering anyone's calls," he states.
"I haven't felt like talking to anyone or going out lately," answers Ryan.
"Listen, I can't blame you but you need to be out and not cooped up in this house all the time," says Paul one of Ryan's friends that he met while playing music gigs on the side.
"Well, I just read a letter that Caroline wrote a little while ago and finally feel up to doing something," says Ryan.
"I was hoping you would say that, there's a great new pub down the street," replys Paul.
The two of the guys head down the street to the pub. They are seated and are greeted by a bright and chipper waitress. "Hello lads, what can I get for you both," she asks.
"We'll take two guinness please," replys Paul.
"Sounds grand, I'll be right back with those. By the way if you need anything else the names Amy," replys taking a glance at Ryan, she feels her heart skip.

"So, here you are lads, anything else for you," Amy asks bringing the guys their food along with another round of guinness.
"Nope, we're fine," replys Paul.
"Ok, need anything don't be afraid to shout," she replys.
That night also happened to be karaoke night at the pub, while the lads were just getting ready to get up and pay the karaoke announcer called Amy's name, which her boss had put in. So Amy standing at the microphone and began to sing one of her favorite songs, "love you till the end,"by the pogues.
"Wow, she is prety good," comments Paul.
"Yeah, she is," agrees Ryan. "And she picked a great song too, it was one of Carolines favorites," he adds.
They two of them finally make there way to the cashier where Amy has taken over duties. "My you are busy tonight," comments Paul.
"Ah, not to bad I've been here long enough to know how to a few things at once," she replys as they hand her the bills. "You know what lads, it's on me tonight," she adds.
"Well thanks, you didn't have to do that," says Ryan.
"It's my pleasure, hopefully we'll dee you lads around soon," she replys.
"I'm sure you will," answers Paul. The two of them are out the door and head back to Ryan's appartment. "She was cute dont you think,'' he asks Ryan.
"I guess, but Paul, I'm not looking to be in a relationship right now considering the situation," answers Ryan.
"I know but just as friends though, it has been a while," coments Paul.
"We'll see what happens. Probably not though, who in their right mind would want a greiving widower," says Ryan.
Later that week Amy goes to her specialist for a check up to her heart transplant. "Amy, everything looks great," replys her doctor.
"Thank you doctor for everything," she states. "Although there is one thing that has been bugging me," she adds.
"And what's that?" her doctor asks.
"Well, it's the fact that I can't thank the woman whose heart this is. I need to have some peace and find her family or something and tell them that their relative saved my life," she answers.
"Well her husband lives and works here in Dublin, I believe" he says.
"Oh, that's great. Do you know where I can find him?" questions Amy.
"Sure," he answers and hands her a piece of paper with the information on it.
Not sure if she'll be able to say thank you enough and in the right words she writes out a letter and is off to find the mystery man.

Pacing the hallway outside the appartment that was listed on the piece of paper Amy is very nervous and trying to figutre out what to say. "Good thing i have this written down," she says to herself. Finally getting the courage to walk up to the door she knocks and waits to see who will come, wondering if the woman had children who had lost their mother.
"Coming," says Ryan getting up from the sofa to answer the door. "Amy?! What a surprise to see you here," he adds.
"Hi there Ryan, likewise," she replys.
"I'm sorry would you like to come in," asks Ryan.
"Sure, thanks. I imagine your wanting to know why I came here," says Amy.
"Well that was running through my mind," he answers.
"I'm really not sure how to say this so I wrote it in a letter, here," she states handing him the letter.
"Wow, so you are the lass that the doctor was talking about," inquires Ryan. "Might I ask what happened," he continues.
"Yes, that was me. It's a long story, I was practicing my dance lesson that I was going to teach the girls in my dance class and was having really bad pain in my chest and then went to hospital which let me find out that I was born with a heart defect and I needed a transplant. I can't express my gratitude enough for giving me another chance at life, I am truly sorry that your wife was taken from you though" she explains.
"Amy, I don't know what to say. Thank you for coming here to tell me this though," answers Ryan.

"Ryan, why are you thanking me. I've done nothing at all," says Amy. "Well I guess I better be off and let you get on with your day," she adds walking out the door.
"Amy wait," says Ryan grabbing her hand. "I know it's short notice but, would you like to maybe grab a bite to eat later," he adds.
"Sure Ryan, I would love to," replys Amy.
Amy goes beck to her apartment and gets ready for her dinner with Ryan. Her trying to decide what to wear is quite the ordeal because she still want to look nice but is very self consious about her scar. She finally is ready and meets Ryan for there dinner.
"Hi Amy, glad you made it," says Ryan.
"Of course Ryan. Wow it's been a while since I've done this," replys Amy.
"Same here," says Ryan. "So, what do you want to talk about," he adds.
"Well, we can talk about what ever you like," she answers.
"You know, your personality reminds me so much of Caroline," he coments.
"Really, how's that?" she asks.
"Well you both are just so full of life and energy, sweet and soft spoken but you will still fight for what you feel is right and your passion," he answers.
"She sounds like quite the woman and you see that in me?" questions Amy.
"Yes I do," replys Ryan. "So what about you? It must have been odd telling your boyfriend that you were coming here tonight," he adds.
"Boyfriend? What boyfriend?" asks Amy looking at her right hand and her claddagh ring that she had forgotten to take off.
"Really? I thought a lass like you would have a boyfriend," he answers.
"That would be another long story. I'm sure you don't want to hear about that," she says.

Thanks guys. here's another update for ya.
"I have time and I would love to get to know more about you" replys Ryan.
"You are too kind. So where do I begin, Seth and I met when I was 17 and I had always kind of had a crush on him and then about a year and a half later we finally started dating. Everything was going great in our relationship untill I started getting sick all the time, but then everything in the end started working out for us again, that is untill this last time. When I was in the hospital recovering from the surgery he broke up with me, he never really gave a good reason either," she explains.
"How could someone do that, that is beyond low," says Ryan.
"I guess he didn't want to be with someone that was sick, that's the only thing that comes to mind," Amy replys.
"If you want my opinion, he was self obsorbed and extreemly shallow," coments Ryan.
"Well thank you Ryan, but believe me I'm nothing special," she says. "And please don't lie and tell me that I am," she adds.

Alright here's another update for ya. hope ya'll like it.
"It's not lying, you are very special. Just by looking in your eyes you can tell that there is something very deep and mystifying about your personality that any guy would be lucky to find," says Ryan.
"Ryan, you know just what to say, thanks," says Amy.
"Your welcome love," he replys.
The two of them talk for a little while longer then Amy and Ryan are off to their empty appartments. That night Ryan has a dream where he and Amy have been talking about their future. Ryan wakes up quite confused. He falls back asleep and has yet another dream this time Caroline lets Ryan know to keep following his heart and all will work out in the end.
Amy also had a dream that night, a young woman who was teaching a dance class that Amy was taking Ryan was also there observing the class, when the dancer called him to the class and the she paired Amy with Ryan and they danced across the room and gave the class quite the performance.
"Wow, that was quite the odd dream," says Amy heading into her kitchen to make breakfast.
I know it's short, hope yall like it anyway. better than nothinig though.

alrihgt another update, thanks for the coments guys i reall apreciate it.
After a very restfull night, which has been happening more often since he and Amy have been talking, Ryan is back off to work at the bank. "Agh this 9 to 5 bit is getting old," Ryan says to himself.
That morning Amy was back to work finally as well, dancing was her passion so to welcome her back to the dance academy her class which was made up of 5 6 year old kids made her a sign that said 'Welcome back Miss Amy.' "Kids, you guys are great thank you all so much," she replys.
"So Amy, how have you been?" asks another dance instructor.
"I've been good, waitressing at the pub but it's good to be back here," answers Amy. "Oh, and Seth and I broke up," she adds.
"What? Why that jerk," adds her coworker Anne.
"And you know what I just realized, after we were engaged we made a joint bank acount, dang it now i have to deal with the bank. Grrr I hate dealing with banks," says Amy.
"I know what you mean they can be quite the pain," replys Anne.
After the classes are finished for the day Amy is headed to the bank to work out the deal with her account. She walks into the bank and waits for one of the accountants to be free, after a few minutes she is finally called into one of the offices. "Ryan, you work here?" asks Amy.
"Amy, wow I wasn't expecting to see you here," says Ryan. "And yes unfortunatly I work here," he adds. The two of them talk about why Amy is there and about little other things.
"Ryan, I know this will probably sound really weird, but I feel i should tell you this. The other night I had the oddest dream and this dance instructor paired us together," says Amy.
"Really and no that doesn't sound weird at all. Because in fact the other night I had a dream with you in it as well," says Ryan.
"Wow, talk about coincidences," answers Amy. "Ryan I don't mean to pry but, that photo behind you, is that Caroline?" she asks.
"As a matter of fact yes it is why," he replys.
"Remember I said there was a dance instructor, that's who it was," answers Amy.
"Do you believe in fate?" questions Ryan. "Because in my dream you and I were planning for the future," he continues.
"That depends, but from what has happened I would have to say that this is more than a coincidence," she replys.
"That was what I was thinking too," he agrees.

k there maybe a lilttle inspiration from another movie in here too. heres another update for ya.
After a long day at the office Ryan is finally able to come home and relax. He makes himself supper and flips through their wedding album, remembering all the good times they had. "Hey Ryan," he hears a wisper of a familiar voice.
"Caroline?" he asks. "What am I thinking, of course it's not," he says to himself.
"Ryan," the voice says again.
"Ok, I know I heard it that time," answers Ryan. "Hello?" he says.
"Ryan, your not going crazy, it's me Caroline," replys the voice.
"Caroline, what's going on here," replys Ryan.
"It seems I have some unfinished business to attend to, that's why I have been coming to you in dreams as well," she replys.
"I have missed you so much," says Ryan.
"I've missed you too, but remember I will always love you and be with you," answers Caroline. "Have you met anyone new?" she adds.
"I think you know the answer to that question," he replys.
"OK, guilty on that one and trust me it's for the best, I'll give you a little sign to let you know," she coments.
"Will this be another one of your dream appearances," quips Ryan.
"You'll know what the sign is when you see it, goodbye love" she replys.

After another long day at the back one of Ryan's friends invites him out for drinks with some other school friends. They go to the pub, where Amy happened to be working again that night.
"Hey Ryan, how are things?" she asks.
"Oh, slowly getting better. Thanks, and yourself?" he asks.
"Much better thanks to your help the other day and getting back to my dancing," Amy answers.
"Glad it's all working out," says Ryan.
"Thanks, I'll go ahead and get your orders for you lads be right back," coments Amy.
"You know her?" his friends ask.
"Yeah, why?" questions Ryan.
"I don't know if you realized this but, she seems a lot like Caroline. I mean she is a dancer and her personality," one friend answers.
"And the way you two eyed each other just now. You know something we don't, don't you?" another says.
"Yes, i have noticed. And yes I do," answers Ryan.
"Can you let us in on it then?" they ask.
"No, i won't, not unless Amy wants to share," he replys.
"Alright lads, here everything is. Just let me know if you want anything else" says Amy. Ryan invites Amy over to join him and his friends after her shift ends. The guys ask her a ton of questions about how she met Ryan and they finally ask what the two of them are keeping to themselves.
Lately Ryan has been out running again, mainly to help clear his mind when he becomes overwhelmed with memories of Caroline. While out running one morning he passes a little coffee shop where he sees Amy sitting at an outside table drinking a cup of tea and reading the paper, "Ok, I think I get the point Caroline," laughs Ryan remembering the conversation the just a few days before.

thanks for the coments. i really appreciate it, heres another update for ya'll
Begining to listen to his late wifes advice, Ryan goes over to the table where Amy was sitting. "Hey there Amy, how are you?" he asks.
"Hi there Ryan, I haven't seen you here before," she states.
"Well I'm getting back into running. Everyone is trying to get me out and about when possible, I guess they think that I will sink into a depression again," says Ryan.
"Understandable. They are looking out for you, but they need to realize that everyone has their own way of grieving and their own way of coping," replys Amy.
"Yes. Thank you Amy, I have been trying to tell them that but they don't like that reasoning," answers Ryan.
"So you run? I really need to get back into that, all that sitting around the past month or so hasn't helped my waistline at all," coments Amy.
"Nonsense Amy, you look fine," replys Ryan.
"Thanks Ryan, oh shoot I have an audition to go to. I'll talk to you later," says Amy. "Here's the paper for you if you like," she adds.
"Good luck, talk to you later," says Ryan. He looks through the paper and sees an asvertisement for a new music group called Celtic Thunder, being put together by Phil Coulter and Sharon Brown. He makes a plan to make it to one of the auditions being as one of his passions is music.
The morning comes for the auditions in Dublin, "This is for you Caroline," says Ryan. He walks into the audition room in his green sweater that Caroline had bought him one year for his birthday and performs carrikfergus and a number from his time as Judas Iscarriot in Jesus Christ Superstar. He returns home to Moy awaiting to hear if he recieved a call back to the final auditions.
"Ryan, you were wonderful, not that it was a surprise. You were always a great musician," says Caroline.
"Well thank you Caroline, and I must say you are very clever with your signs," answers Ryan.
"I learn from the best, remember those little scavenger hunts you used to send me on to find my birthday presents," coments Caroline.
"Oh yes, I always had so much fun with those," replys Ryan.

Ryan sits in the living room still waiting for a call to see if he made it to the final auditions. The phone rings, "Hello?" Ryan answers.
"Hello, is this Ryan Kelly?" The voice asks.
"Yes it is," says Ryan.
"Grand, this is Sharon with the Celtic Thunder auditions and we are wanting you to come to the final audition back in Dublin," she says.
"Thats great, thank you so much Sharon," says Ryan. Sharon gives him the details of when and where the auditions will be held. That next week he is on his way to Dublin, of course he had to call the bank and tell them he wouldn't be into work that day. He walks into the audition room where he performs his best yet again, while walking out of the room he again bumps into Amy. "Amy, quite a surprise to see you here," coments Ryan.
"Ryan, you as well, I'm guessing you're here for the auditions then?" she asks.
"Yes, music has always been a passion of mine," he replys. "What brings you to Dublin?" he asks.
"Audition as well, I just hope I didn't make a fool of meself," answers Amy. "Well, I best get going I have to meet some friends of mine for lunch, would you care to join us?" she adds.
"I'm sure you were great at the audition. Sure I'd love to," replys Ryan.
They walk down the street to a little pub where Amy is supposed to meet her firends. While walking to the pub, Ryan sees the familiar faces of his in-laws.
sorry I know its mean to leave you hanging like this but for me it's a good place to stop. hopefully it leaves you wanting more.

"Ryan, how are you?" asks his mother in law.
"I'm doing well, and yourselves?" he replys.
"As best we can, still have ups and downs of course," she replys back. "And might I ask who we have hear," she adds noticing that he is holding Amy's hand.
"Sure, this is Amy, one of my now very close friends," says Ryan.
"Oh really, well glad that you have been well, we best be going dear," she replys to her husband and they begin to walk off.
"Ryan, what was that about?" asks Amy.
"Well that would have been Caroline's parents. Why did they have too see me on one of the best days with the audition and not one of my usual depressed days," he states.
"Oh, I see," replys Amy.
"To be honest I don't think that they liked me much to begin with. They were always telling Caroline that we were married to young and didn't know what we were getting into," he coments.
"How could they think that?" asks Amy. "Why don't we explain what's going on then maybe they will have a better understanding of the situation," says Amy running toward the direction of the way his in-laws are going.
"I swear that woman," Ryan says mockingly heading after her.
They finally catch up to Caroline's parents, "I'm sorry to be a bother but, would you two like to join Ryan and I for lunch. Because trust me there is a lot more to this story than the little conversation back there," says Amy.
"My you have quite the firey personality," replys the mother.
"So I'm told, but please hear us out," pleads Amy.
"If we must," the father in law says, with a look of shock from his wife. "The girl this far to tell us something it must be important," he adds.
"Thank you sir," replys Amy and with that the four of them sit down to have lunch and the entire story of how Amy recieved Carolines heart in the transplant and how Paul dragged Ryan out of the house that one night and he and Amy met. They also get a background of Amy and find out how Ryan has been coping and why he was in a good mood earlier in the day.

"Well if that wasn't awkward," coments Ryan.
"True but, I feel better knowing that they now know what is going on. And that they know that their daughter married an amazing man who loved her with everything he had," says Amy.
"Thank you Amy," answers Ryan. "Would you like to come back to the apartment while we wait to hear back from the auditions," he adds.
"Sure Ryan, that sounds wonderful." she answers as they head toward the apartment.
"Would you like some tea?" aks Ryan.
"Sure Ryan I'd love some," replys Amy as she hears a voice in the background. "Um Ryan do you hear that?" she asks.
"What's that exactly," he answers finally hearing the voice. "Caroline is that you again?" he asks.
"Yes love it is," replys the voice.
"Woha, you still hear Caroline," questions Amy.
"Yeah I do," says Ryan.
"Hello Amy," says Caroline.
"H hi," replys Amy.
"Amy, I do hope that my parents didn't treat you to bad earlier," coments Caroline.

"Let's just say it was interesting," says Amy.
"I knew it, they never were a big fan of Ryan. I imagine them seeing him with another woman didn't help either," says Caroline.
"Yeah, I definatly didn't help the situation that's for sure," replys Amy. "But everything is better now, and why exactly not like Ryan?" she adds.
"They thought we were too young, I was 20 and he was 23. They thought we should go and live our own lives," answers Caroline.
"Didn't they see that you loved each other?" Amy asks.
"I guess not," she replys. "Ryan, be good to this girl. She's quite a catch," adds Caroline.
"Not to worry Caroline, wait what exactly do you have in mind," he asks.
"You'll see in time, you two will see," answers Caroline. Just then the phone rings.
