How do you all feel about the new musical, Love Never Dies? It's extremely controversial, and it seems no one likes it. They either loathe it to death, or is infatuated to now end.
I fall into the latter category.
Ramin Karimloo will one day be mine, I assure you.
Commence.

Of course you get him.
I also fall in the latter category. I SUPPORT YOU TO NO END CAKEY!
I shall join you on your goal to get Ramin Karimloo as your dearly beloved husband!!
And then there will be the times where I am often pulled back into the crazy world of Thunderheads.
But that will not stop me from helping you fulfill all your hopes and dreams!!!

I adore Ramin Karimloo, and Sierra Bogress, but despise the plot with a fiery passion. Blech.

I like the plot! It's a load of chicken nuggets, but if you can twist your mind enough, you'll actually be pulled in by it!

What's that? Paul clogged the bathtub? PLUMBER!

It just doesn't make sense to me that the Phantom would start his own freak show. Just seems a little hypocritical. And I just don't see Raoul as a drunkard either, he was so sweet and innocent in the first musical, it just goes way out of character for him.
But I do love the song 'Till I hear you Sing' made me cry when I heard it.

I think the freak show was just a really convenient setting for him to use, never mind the hypocrisy...if they had continued it at the Opera Garnier, there'd be too many plot holes. Where would the Phantom hide, or why on Earth would Raoul and Christine return there? Questions that would surely be pondered...
As for Raoul, I'd always thought that he and Christine would never last. He didn't recognize her before she had the spotlight thrust upon her, he refused to listen to her...he constantly forced her to be in situations that she truly wanted to be in (ie. The 'Twisted Every Way' scene)...and I'd have been livid just knowing that in a way, Christine did love the Phantom, as present in the final scene. Ten years of living with a shell of a wife and a kid that obviously has nothing in common with him would drive even the most patient man mad.
THAT SONG WILL KILL ME SOON!!! Have you heard the reprise at the end of "Before the Performance?"
OMWWW!!!!

I'm sure that even if people say they hate it, they'll go see it. I definitely DON'T like the plot line whatsoever...but Cakey, after you showed me "Til I Hear you Sing" .... Yeah. That song is fabulous.

I am actutually looking forward to the show coming to America. Say what you will about the plot or the characters, you cannot deny that the music is absolutly beautiful. I'm not opposed to the sequal but I'm not crazy in love with it. I'm sorta netural about it.

I'll admit, after watching a full in depth review of it, it has grown on me. In fact, I would love to see it, but first I want to see Phantom on stage. I'm actually asking for the LND soundtrack. The music is outstanding. I never doubted that from the begining. It seems like it will be quite the spectacle on the stage. I hope it gets to Broadway. ;D
