Hi there everyone! A best friend of mine introduced me to Nox, and I immediately fell in love with the stories written here. So, since I'm also a huge CT fanatic, I decided I'd start my own piece of fanfiction. This is my first, so I hope you all like it! How could this be? Chloe Moore sat in the corner of her bedroom, warm tears gently flowing down her naturally rosy cheeks. She turned the lights off, listening intently to the heavy raindrops tapping on the roof of her small apartment. Small but loud flashes of lightning lit the sky at certain intervals, making Chloe cringe deeper into the wall. As always, the weather seemed to match her mood. She was almost certain that the sudden bad news she received would drastically put a damper on her life’s happiness forever. Chloe could feel her eyes swelling up from all her crying, but the stinging pain didn’t force the streams on her face to a stop. She was definitely in a state of hopelessness, and it filled her heart with anger and agony. Her mind kept playing painful memories over and over again, like a broken record. Memories from years, months, or weeks before, but the most painful were the memories of today. Just thinking about today for a second made Chloe’s heart skip beats, and throb like blood under a horrible bruise. She was out shopping today with her best friend and self-proclaimed sister, Amanda Tanis. She and Manda were so excited because, after finally coming home from doing an internship in D.C., Manda’s boyfriend, Rick, had proposed to her. Chloe was ecstatic about Manda and Rick’s engagement, and couldn’t wait to start helping with the preparations. They were shopping today for Manda’s engagement party dress, and, being girls with gorgeous but picky style, they had to come across the perfect dress for her before they consented to buying anything. “Oh. My. Goodness!!! Chloe, come here, quick!” Manda frantically called to Chloe from halfway across the store. Chloe sighed, “Geez, Manda, I’m coming! What on earth could be so…WOW.” Chloe gave a low whistle, and dropped her jaw in awe. Manda giggled, “Oh, silly Chlo.” She pushed up Chloe’s jaw with her dainty, manicured finger. “I take it that you agree to this one wholeheartedly?” Manda’s mischievous grin grew wide with pure delight. It took a moment, but Chloe did snap out of it, “Agree?! Manda, it’s what we’ve spent all day looking for! It’s perfect in every way possible!” Chloe couldn’t help but admire the elegant dress Manda was holding up to her face. It was made of exquisite white satin sewn into a shapely and floor-length hourglass form, draped around the waist with a pale pink sash, and decorated on the bottom with a white flower-patterned lace. Chloe became a bit jealous of her friend’s 20/20 vision for style. “You’ll look like a princess in this.” She said, admiring Manda’s flawless curvy figure. Manda had to giggle at every compliment Chloe made, mainly because she usually thought the opposite of what Chloe said about her. “Really?” “Of course! Manda, sweetheart, you’re stunningly beautiful, and honestly, I think you can definitely get a guy better than Rick,” Manda pretended to have hurt feelings and gently smacked Chloe on the back of her head, “but, since he’s obviously your Prince Charming, your rare and lovely inner and outer self will be his to have and to hold. He’d just better see how lucky he is, or else we’ll have to teach him the old cliché, ‘you never know what you have till it’s gone.’” Chloe gave her bestie a gentle smile and wink, hugging her tightly in reassurance. Chloe was always the more emotional person in their friendship, but a loving hug from her friend calmed Manda’s nerves quite a bit. “Okay then,” Manda took in a deep breath, “Off to the changing rooms!” Chloe’s eyes welled up with tears of joy as she took in her friend’s happiness. “I’ll be right there in a moment, darling.” Chloe’s voice was breaking because of her crying as she turned her back to Manda so she could dry her eyes. Manda shook her head and grinned, knowing by just a peek at Chloe that she was crying tears of joy. “Okay, missy. Hurry up!” She skipped off to the dressing rooms. Chloe turning to admire Manda’s bouncing red curls. She sighed with contentment, “If she’s happy, then I’m happy. I want everything to be stress-free and picture perfect for her engagement and wedding.” She turned to face the store window and looked up to the clear blue sky, closing her eyes as if she were making a wish. “Everything will be per…” Chloe stopped short in her sentence because she heard a scream that sounded exactly like Manda’s. “Manda? Manda!” Chloe sprinted across the store to make sure her friend was safe, but when she reached the entrance to the dressing rooms, a woman wearing a purple silk top, khakis, and a white ski mask harshly pushed her to the ground. Manda rushed out with the dress half unzipped, trying to chase after the woman to the best of her abilities. “Stop, stop! Someone help me stop this woman, she has my purse!” But before anyone could come to her rescue, the woman ran out of the store, and Manda followed close behind. Chloe jumped up to her feet, “Manda, don’t chase her! We’ll get the authorities!” Manda couldn’t hear Chloe anymore though, because she was already chasing the masked woman down the crowed sidewalk. Chloe dashed out of the boutique and ran to where she heard the ruckus coming from. People were screaming and shouting, “She’s armed! She’s armed!” This made Chloe’s feet pick up to full speed, praying that Manda would be unharmed. Then, out of what seemed like nowhere, she heard a car violently screech and crash into another vehicle. The frantic shouting grew more and more intense, and Chloe could feel her heart breaking as she pictured what could have happed to Manda at that moment. Finally, there she was, she made it. But a second too late. In the middle of the street, lying in the arms of a man she didn’t know, there was the body of her friend, bruised from the car’s hit. Chloe was in shock, and she began shaking with disbelief and utter sadness. “No. Manda, darling,” she whispered to herself softly, feeling the stings of her distressing tears. Her heart shattered into a million unfixable porcelain pieces. She walked as stably as she could to the man who was hold her friend. She just could not believe this was actually happening. Her friend, so beautiful and sunny, was skipping off safely to the dressing rooms to try on her award-winning dress. Then, she was running out the store at the heels of a masked criminal with Chloe trying her absolute hardest to chase her down. “Why, why, why? Why couldn’t. No. Why didn’t I stop her from chasing that maniac woman?! This is my entire fault. None of this would have happened if I…she…Manda…she wouldn’t be…be…” The sobs overwhelmed her, and she had to fight hard to keep herself from having a breakdown in the middle of the street. When she made it to the place where her friend was laying, she could barely contain her inner screams of agony, so she clenched her teeth tightly. The mysterious man looked up at Chloe with worry written all across his impeccably handsome face. Despite the situation, the man’s angelic eyes knocked the breath and words out of Chloe. But she quickly picked herself up again. “She’s… she’s… oh, please, please!” Chloe screamed out. “No, no, it can’t be… be… be true. Is she...?” There was a pause as she gazed at the man’s concerned face. The medical examiner arrived so the man stood up and carefully laid Manda’s body on the cold, hard paved road. “Did you know her?” The man sweetly asked Chloe. “Y-e-sss. S-hhe wa-ss mm-y bb-e-sst frr-iend.” Chloe was quaking with fear and kept embarrassingly stuttering in front of this beautiful stranger. “Ah, then you must be Chloe. Manda, your friend, told me to tell you that she loves you dearly and she knows and will always believe that everything happens for a purpose. She says she’ll miss you, but asks that you don’t cry for her since she’ll see you someday. I’m so sorry about all of this, Chloe. I’ve been through a horrible death of a loved one before, and I know this is a time for necessary comfort.” He pulled her into a comforting hug. Chloe held onto him, though she didn’t even know his name, and buried her sobbing eyes in his chest. She stood there in the middle of the street with this kind gentleman, grateful that this man was here for her when she was so close to fainting from agony. He didn’t seem to mind it either, but Chloe didn’t let her mind stray from Manda’s death. She knew that would be completely inappropriate and disrespectful towards her always-considerate bestie. After a while, when she gained a little composure, Chloe let go of the man and properly introduced herself. “It’s an absolute pleasure to meet you, Chloe Moore.” The beyond handsome mystery man flashed to her an adorably attractive smile, making her cheeks grow from pale to bright red. He chuckled at her embarrassed yet elegantly innocent face, but made no comment about it. “My name is Keith Harkin. Excuse my accent, please. I’m actually from Donegal, Ireland, so the accent could be a bit overwhelming to such a stunningly beautiful American girl.” Chloe looked down at her feet and giggled, blushing an even deeper red. “No, it’s fine. My grandparents are from Dublin, Ireland. I’m quite used to and fond of Irish accents.” “Well, what do you know, an Irish-blooded, American raised lassie!” Keith winked at her, making Chloe’s heart soar. Then, Keith noticed Chloe’s smile fade into a look of despair once again. “Are you alright, sweetheart?” “Oh,” Chloe felt very horrible for letting Keith read her like an open book. She didn’t want to worry him even more. “I’m okay, Keith.” She tried her hardest to make a convincing smile. Unfortunately, Keith didn’t buy it, and Chloe knew that. “You’ve been through too much today, Chlo. Let’s get you home. Did you come here with a car?” Chloe hesitated. “Um, no. We walked here.” Her memories of the day deepened her frown. “Great! Well, I have just one other question for you, Chlo. Do you trust me, or think I’m an insane blondie?” Keith smirked at using his famous nickname, blondie, which evidently would make him sound crazier than he looked right now. Chloe just smiled up at his gorgeous blue eyes. “Blondie, yes. Insane… hmmmm…” she pretended to think, “Well… no. I trust you, Keith. There’s something about you that’s just, I don’t know. For lack of a better explanation, different than any other guy I’ve met before.” “Really?” Keith’s eyes grew wide with disbelief, “Well, guess that’s a good thing, right?” he said with a laugh. “Of course.” Chloe’s heart skipped a beat at the sound of his musical, velvety voice and enchanting laugh. “Then, with that said and done, shall we?” He held out his arm to blushing Chloe, and she took it happily. Her breathing became uneasy because of her throbbing heart, but she tried her absolute best to remain calm even though Keith was enchanting her every second. She kept reminding herself about Manda’s death and how unhappy she should be, despite what Manda said before she passed. She just had to have a time of mourning, or else it would just be improper and rude.

“Chloe? Hello, Chlo?” Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard Keith calling to her.
“What? Oh, sorry Keith. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Maybe I was just in a trance.”
“Don’t worry about it, darling. I was asking you, what’s your address?”
Chloe was completely embarrassed. How on earth was she going to live the same without her dearest friend around to help her through it all? She gave Keith her address, and in no time they showed up at her apartment.
Chloe forced herself to get out of the car, but she had to call Manda’s family and let them know what happened.
“Thanks so much for the ride, Keith. You truly were my savior today, and I am entirely indebted to you forever. Thanks again.” She flashed a bright and pearly white smile at dazzlingly Keith, and he did the same, but he wasn’t about to let her stay in this state of mind alone.
“Chlo, do you not have anyone staying with you?” Chloe turned around slowly, reading his mind already.
“Keith, no, you don’t need to…I mean…if you were thinking about…you know…staying with me…you really don’t need to burden yourself with that…responsibility.” She felt like an idiot trying to grasp for words and air at the same time, since Keith absentmindedly took both away from her.
He laughed loudly with delight. “I see you are no foolish, pretty girl. Really, though, Chlo. I am not about to let you stay by yourself while you’re going through all of this. Even if you did offer me a room, just give me a pillow and blanket and I’ll be sleeping on your living room floor. I know I’m sounding crazier by the minute, but even though we’ve just met, I look at you like a close friend already, and I want to be sure you’re protected and happy,”
Chloe’s heart did flips when Keith said he wanted her to be protected and happy, “So, what do you say Chlo. Will I need to get on my knees and beg?”
She smiled at him, but before she could give an answer, Keith knelt down on the concrete sidewalk and looked up at Chloe with sad puppy-dog eyes and a pout.
“Please, please, please, with a cherry on top Chlo!” That did it, she busted out into a fit of uncontrollable giggles, washing away the painful memories and temporarily numbing her aching heart.
“Oh, Keith, get up silly! Fine, you may stay with me. I would offer you a room, but sadly, it’s a one-bedroom apartment.” Keith stood to his feet and look down at Chloe. He lifted her face to his with his finger, and Chloe’s mind could no longer think straight.
“What did I tell you, Chloe Moore? Do not feel bad about not having another room, because I wouldn’t take your offer anyways.” Keith pretended to scold her. He read her expression wrong, but Chloe didn’t feel guilty about it anymore.
“Great. You know, you’re an easy house guest.” She winked at him and turned to walk to her apartment. Keith followed her close behind.
“So,” Keith began, looking around the complex, “how long have you been living here in LA?”
“I’ve been living here for a year now. Since I completed my undergraduate degree in dance, I came here to start working. I found a job at one of the major ballet companies here in Los Angeles, auditioned, signed a contract with them, and now I do shows for them. But, the secondary reason as to why I came here is because I absolutely adore surfing as much as I do dancing. I figured a big city in Cali would offer me the luxury of being near amazing beaches and good jobs.”
Chloe paused, staring with confusion at Keith’s sudden change of expression. He was astonished, to say the least, and had his mouth hanging wide open staring at her with wide, disbelieving eyes. Chloe giggle again, pushing his mouth shut.
“If you happen to catch a fly in there, don’t blame me.” Keith shook his head out of the daze,
“Yyy-ou sss-urrr-f?”
“I know, kinda unbelievable, but I adore surfing. Been doing it since I was 10 and I fell in love with it after that.”
“Wow,” Keith gave out a low whistle, “I would never have guessed…Chlo, and I’m a huge surfing fanatic too! I’ve never met a girl with so much passion for surfing, until now. I’m…simply…just…huh…wowed.”
“Hmmm… I think you need to meet more people Keith, mainly girls.” She laughed and grabbed his hand. “C’mon slow poke! At this rate, we won’t even make it to the flight of stairs until sunrise. He laughed along with her, and the two ran up to Chloe’s apartment hand in hand.
Chloe unlocked the door and they both stepped into her quaint, country-like home. The walls were wooden, covered with pictures of Chloe with Manda and her other loved ones. The fireplace’s mantle was decked out with medals and trophies Chloe won in various dance competitions, followed by photos of her dancing and surfing.
The furniture and curtains were all shades of green, ranging from soft to dark. The kitchen, living room, and hallway walls had different pictures of picturesque photos from all over Ireland, which matched beautifully with the apartment’s touch of green.
The small outdoor patio was also covered in green, with soft green silk curtains surrounding clover-shaped green chairs and a small round table.
“Keith, don’t tell me you’re ‘astonished’ again.” Chloe remarked with a playful roll of her eyes. “I told you, my family is Irish. I’m quite a big fan of Ireland and the Irish culture.”
“Chloe Moore,” Keith protested loudly, “if you surprise me anymore, I seriously think I’m going to have a heart attack. I certainly won’t be missing home while I’m here.” He smiled and began looking at her dance trophies and medals. He was quite impressed at how well she could dance.
“Well, make yourself at home, Keith.” She smiled and her heart pounded loudly when he turned for a moment to wink at her. “I’m just going to run off to the bathroom for a quick shower. If you’re hungry, please, you’re more than welcome to help yourself to absolutely anything in the kitchen. I’ll be back with some sheets and a pillow in a few minutes.” With that, she gracefully skipped off to her bedroom.
Then, Keith noticed something hidden at the very end of the mantle, covered in a layer of dust. He pondered for a moment whether he should look at it or not, but he decided to anyways. He carefully took it off the mantle and wiped the dust off of it. It was a trophy that had a golden microphone on the top of it. He wiped the dust off the little plaque at the bottom of the trophy and read what was written on it. “1st place for Best Female Soloist. Awarded to Miss Chloe Moore.” Keith’s curiosity grew as he read every word written on the trophy.
“Huh,” he wondered in amazement, “she’s a dancer, a surfer, and now a singer? Could she be anymore perfect?” He kept his eyes on the trophy, but put it back quickly when he heard footsteps coming toward the living room. Keith tried to look like he didn’t notice anything, so he turned on the TV and attempted to look neutral.
Chloe walked into the room in her blue polka-dotted nightgown and plopped a bunch of sheets and a pillow onto the recliner. Keith looked at her with a dazzling smile,
“Thanks, Chlo.”
“Absolutely no trouble at all, Keith!” She smiled back at him, but she definitely couldn’t compete with his beauty, or so SHE thought.
“Are ya hungry? I’m a pretty decent cook, not the best, but decent. Whatchya in the mood for?”
“Anything you’re willing to eat. I’m not too much of a picky eater.” Chloe didn’t believe him, because she knew that was a copout answer.
“Look mister, you’re staying at my place, which makes you my guest. You’re not using excuses on me!” Keith threw his hands up in an “I-surrender-all” fashion.
“Alright, alright, I’m no competition for stubbornness herself. But, I’m going to let you guess what my favorite food is.” Chloe put her hand on her hip and tapped her foot on the floor, staring at Keith like he was a maniac.
“That’s one thing out of a million food options!”
“Well, hey, I answered, didn’t I?” He smirked and stretched back on the sofa.
“Ugh, fine. You win.” Chloe shook her head, smacked Keith playfully on his cheek, and skipped off to the kitchen. She opened the fridge and stared into it, thinking about what his favorite food could be. She decided she’d just make burgers and hope that it was the correct answer to his riddle. Besides, Irish people tended to love burgers anyways.
“Did I guess correctly?” Chloe asked when she walked into the living room after she was done. She was carrying two plates and set one down in Keith’s lap, taking a seat on the sofa next to Keith. He stared the plate and then at her.
“Okay, you’re seriously starting to freak me out. How on earth did you know?”
“Ha ha ha, I’m psychic. Sorry to inform you so late.” Keith gave her a little punch on the arm, throwing his head back laughing.
After they ate, Chloe made tea and they began to chat. Chloe was interested in knowing what Keith was doing here in LA, since he lived in Donegal. She also wanted to know what his occupation was and things like that. The thought of whether he had a girlfriend or not also crossed her mind a few times, but she exhausted herself trying to push away those thoughts. Little did she know Keith also had a few interesting questions to ask her too.
“So, Keith, what are you doing here so far away from home? And when do you have to leave?” Chloe cringed when she asked him when he had to go back to Ireland. She had already grown so fond of Keith, and would hate for him to leave soon.
“Actually, I plan to stay in LA for another month, because I’m taking some vacation time from work. My dad owns a timeshare here in LA on the beach, mainly because he knows I adore surfing, so he wanted to give me someplace near the beach where I can enjoy myself and relax. I’ve also spent some time visiting friends of mine. It’s been more of a social visit rather than a surfing visit, until now.”
Chloe looked puzzled when he said “until now.”
“What do you mean, until now?”
Keith gave her a mischievous grin, “I mean, I wanna take you surfing. You need some fun and relaxation time, Chlo. And perhaps I’ll challenge you a bit.” He winked at Chloe, who wished he’d stop making it so hard for her to think straight and keep her heart on the ground.
“Oh…well…I guess I could take some vacation time. I’ve accumulated so much, and, after today, I do need it.” Chloe, being the most emotional person she knew, started feeling the tears in her beautiful green eyes. Keith looked at her with concern, putting his arm around her. She admittedly did like him being close to her, but still forced those thoughts out of her head as best as she could. She patted her eyes dry with her fingertips and straightened up, feigning the appearance of happiness.
“I’m sorry, I just get… so…so,” but before she finished, Keith finished her sentence for her.
“Emotional? I know, sweetheart. It’s okay. Friends are here to be comforters during times like these.” She smiled at him as a sign of intense gratitude.
“Keith, one last question? If that’s okay.” She was very shy around him, yet couldn’t, and didn’t want to understand why.
“Of course, you don’t have to ask, Chlo. Shoot.”
“Okay, thanks. So I was wondering, what’s your occupation in Ireland?” Keith froze for a second. He forgot that she didn’t know about Celtic Thunder, or at least she didn’t recognize that he was a part of it. What was he supposed to tell her? That he’s some famous vocalist who is part of a well-loved Celtic male vocalist group? That would sound egotistical and VERY awkward. But he certainly couldn’t lie to Chloe.
“Keith, you okay? You look, well, pale and nervous. Did I say something you don’t want to talk about? I mean, we don’t need to talk about your occupation if you don’t want to. I was just curious.” Chloe put her hand on his, trying to look into his eyes.
Keith woke up from his thoughts. “I’m sorry, Chlo. It’s fine, I have no problem speaking about what I do, it’s just, what I do isn’t exactly…common.”
“Well, whatever it is, I can take it. I’m very gullible, Keith, so even if you said you were Santa Clause, I’d probably believe you too.” That comment made Keith laugh, and definitely loosened him up quite a bit.
“Okay, well, before I tell you about that, I hope you don’t mind me asking, but I’m just so darn curious.” Keith put down his tea and walked up to the fireplace mantle. He reached for the hidden trophy he found earlier and walked back to Chloe with it in his hands.
“I didn’t mean to pry; I was just admiring all your success. But, would you mind telling me why this was hidden away from plain sight behind all your other awards?” Chloe couldn’t move, nor could she speak. She was shy and embarrassed all at once, and she knew that was surely not a good combination. Why did he have to find the one trophy she tried her best to avoid speaking of? Oh well, she had to tell him why she was being so secretive about it. Chloe breathed in heavily to steady her breathing.
“I won that trophy a year ago, before I left for LA. In my hometown, Charlotte, North Carolina, a fine arts competition was being held. Back then, singing meant a lot to me, mainly because it brought my dad and I closer together. He was always so distant and we never really did get along very well. Then he became my vocal trainer, and from that day on we were the best of companions. I won that competition because of him, and he could’ve never been prouder. After the competition, when we were heading home, we were having some fun singing along to some country songs on the radio, and that’s when it happened,” tears were flowing down Chloe’s red cheeks as Keith listened ever so intently,
“My dad wasn’t paying enough attention to the road, which was all my fault, and he didn’t realize the traffic light was red. Before he could smash the breaks in time, a yellow Porsche rammed into the side of my dad’s truck. He was hospitalized for a week, but never woke up from his coma. He died the Friday of that week, which was April 17th.” Chloe could never take that story no matter how many times she shared it, and ended up breaking down crying. Keith, so dearly concerned about Chloe, gave her a comforting hug and started to sing “You Raise Me Up,” even though it was really Paul Byrom’s song to sing instead of his. Well, it worked for Keith’s voice too.
At the sound of Keith’s singing, Chloe’s mind and heart calmed completely. The song, but more so Keith’s voice, rendered her at ease instantly. Then, she thought that his voice sounded somewhat familiar. She lifted her face to look at Keith in admiration. When he finished the song he smiled down at Chloe with worry and consideration,
“Feeling better, Chlo sweetheart?”
“Most definitely, Keith. That story is always a tough one for me, but I, in no way, blame you for asking me about it. Besides, you really did help calm me down, which is very weird. Usually no one could ever reach me when I start crying about something.”
“I’m just extremely happy to know that you’re okay again. I’m so sor...” Chloe quickly put her finger to Keith’s lips,
“No Keith, no I’m sorry-s, because there’s nothing to be sorry about, like I said before. But, now, you still haven’t answered my question. What’s your occupation, silly?” Keith smiled that same dazzling smile right at her, “Have you ever heard of Celtic Thunder?”
“Of course! Except, believe this or not, I’ve heard a few of their songs and ADORED them, but I’ve never seen them in concert and I’ve never seen what any of them look like, nor have I heard their actual individual names before. I love their song ‘Heartland’ though! Sorry,” she laughed at herself, “rabbit trail. So, why?”
“Well, Chlo, believe THIS or not but, I’m one of the five vocalists in Celtic Thunder.” Keith laughed in amusement when he saw Chloe’s eyes grow wider than her mouth. Chloe was absolutely speechless. A celebrity was here right now, in her poor excuse for an apartment, and she didn’t even know?!
“I…I…I…really don’t… know… what to say, Keith. Goodness! You’re… you… you’re… a… a… CELEBRITY!!! I can’t believe I didn’t even recognize your voice. I knew your singing sounded familiar, because I adore your song ‘The Island,’ but I just couldn’t put my finger on where I’ve heard you sing before. WOW! So, why aren’t you with the rest of your group?”
“Well, we’ve just finished a tour, so we have a month off now before we start practicing for our new show. The guys are down in Orlando, Florida and I decided to come down to my dad’s timeshare here in LA to catch some waves and meet up with some old friends. I never in my life, though, thought I would actually meet up with such an unbelievably incredible girl.” There he went with the complements again, making Chloe’s heart dance and spin.
“I would love for you to meet to rest of the guys, too. I know they’d just fall in love with you right away.” Chloe blushed a pretty red color at his choice of words. “In fact…” Keith continued, letting his voice trail off as he was thinking.
“What is it, Keith?”
“You said you signed a contract with a ballet company, so, when is that contract up?”
“Next month, Keith, but, why?”
“Hmmm…well, I need you to do me one favor.”
“Okay, sure! What is it?”
“You said you love Ireland, and would you move there any chance you’d get?”
“Yup.”
“And you love dancing and singing?” Chloe cringed at the singing part, but still, she did love to sing.
“Yes.”
“Okay, so, promise me you won’t renew that contract nor take up any other job offers for the next month?”
“Sure, but why?”
“I can’t tell you yet, because I want it to be a surprise, but, based on what you’ve just told me, I think you’ll be happier than ever when I do tell you.” Chloe looked at him like he was crazy, again. But she was so curious that it made her giggle.
“I’m so curious now…”
“No, no, no.” Keith tsked. “You know what they say, ‘Curiosity killed the cat.’”
The two laughed hysterically. “You are such good craic, Chlo. I’ve honestly never been happier.” The sparkle in Keith’s eyes enchanted Chloe’s heart, and she wished she could tell him that. But that was the very thing she was trying to avoid. She knew all too well about how a heartbreak felt, though she was only heartbroken by a lover once. His name was Enrique Valdez, and she thought he was her soul mate, but he fell prone to the cheating disease. Ugh. She wasn’t willing to let down her heart’s guard, even for Keith.
“Well, Keith, I think we’d better hit the sack, it’s already 2 A.M.” Keith looked at the clock on the wall with astonishment and yawned.
“You are very right, Chlo. You must be exhausted.” He examined her gorgeous face, noticing the redness of her eyes. He stood up and kissed her on top of her long, soft blonde hair.
“Goodnight, sweetheart. I’ll be here, and please, please, please, don’t hesitate to wake me. I’m a big night owl, not so much a morning person.”
“I will, Keith.” Chloe gave him a hug as a return for the kiss, “Goodnight, Keith! Sweet dreams!”
“Goodnight, Chlo! Don’t let the bedbugs bite!”
“Will do!” She called from her bedroom door. She shut the door, and immediately the tears began to flow. “Manda, Manda, Manda!” were the only words screaming out in Chloe’s head. It began to rain as she buried herself in the darkest corner of her bedroom. She had to keep these tears bottled up in front of Keith because she didn’t want him to worry over her, let alone pity her more than she needed to be pitied. He was such a cheerful, fun, and happy guy to be around, so why put a damper on his spirits because of her? This was her battle, not his, so there was no reason to drag him into the blood shedding warfare of her heart. Keith was a loved and super-talented vocalist for the amazing Celtic Thunder, and he deserved to be happy during his stressful but rewarding life. Chloe looked up to the dark and stormy night sky, praying to God for hope. Then the lightning and thunder rolled in, seeming to shatter her prayers.

It was one of the groggiest and restless nights of her life, and Chloe was not happy it ended, because the new day just meant new time to mourn internally throughout the entire day. Admittedly though, she was a bit anxious to see cheery and jovial Keith once again. Somehow, being around such a good friend made her heart feel intact and whole, despite the way it was when she wasn’t around him.
She got dressed and prepped herself for the day, then tiptoed out of her room to see whether or not Keith was still asleep. Sure enough, sprawled out on the couch and snoring, he was still sound asleep. Chloe tried her best not to wake him as she walked by the living room to the kitchen.
“Good morning, little lassie!” Chloe spun around to face Keith in shock. He was also startled, rubbing his eyes and stretching. He laughed heartily at her reaction.
“What? Am I missing a few pieces to my face, or is my hair gone?” Keith pretended to have a panic attack over his “golden fleece.”
“No, no silly,” Chloe belted out laughing, “I was just…shocked to see you wake up so fast. I had absolutely no idea you were such a light sleeper!” Keith smiled, still looking half-asleep. He stood to his feet,
“I get that a lot, hun. I scare the guys while we’re on tour, too. Guess it’s just something you don’t normally hear in the interviews.” Keith said with a wink and twinkle in his eye. Chloe was speechless again. How did one gorgeous Celtic guy manage to be so perfect, even first thing in the morning?! That question dumbfounded Chloe, so she just shook it off.
“Eh, maybe it has something to do with the Celtic blood.” After Keith folded up the sheets he used, he gave Chloe a friendly good morning hug then went off to the bathroom before breakfast. After they had breakfast, Chloe had to get to work for a midday show.
“I’m so sorry to leave you today, Keith. I feel so bad leaving you with nothing to do. Well, I mean, it is LA, but still…I don’t want to leave you without company. I’m so sorry I can’t…”
Keith interrupted her ramblings. “Chloe, really, you’re too much of a considerate person. I’ll be absolutely fine! Besides, I told you in a few days, after you tell your boss you want some vacation time; I’m taking you on a vacation…just us buds. So, since we’re set to have a bunch of fun, I can laze around a few days.”
“Okay, great!” Chloe smiled and here spirits were suddenly lively again. “See you later Keith! Keep out of mischief, please!”
Keith stuck his tongue out at her. “Yes, mom!”
“Hee, hee, thanks!” She winked at him then ran down the stairs to her car.
Keith decided he would go out to one of the main shopping plazas, maybe he’d find something Chloe would like. He did owe her a lot, because she surprisingly seemed to make him feel much happier and peaceful whenever she was around. But he didn’t want to tell her that just yet, for fear of ruining an once-in-a-lifetime friendship with a well-rounded and remarkable girl.
Work was uneventful for Chloe. Same old practices were continuing, and the same old ballet productions took place. She loved dancing, but dancing is meant to be expression, not an actual, completely stressful job. The stress began to pile high when her boss, Mr. Henry Williams, called her into his office.
“Have a seat, Ms. Moore.” Henry pointed sternly to the tiny leather office chair in front of his rather large, and messy, office desk.
“Ye-sss, sir.” Chloe took a seat, mentally beating herself up for not being able to control her stuttering while nervous. When Henry sat down behind his desk, he looked at Chloe straight in the eyes, making her want to cringe in fear. She took in a deep breath and braced herself for the worst.
“I called you in here to tell you about your contract. I’m afraid, Ms. Moore, that I’m going to be rather frank with you. I’m not a chit-chat person.”
“Okay, I have no objections against that.”
“Good. The staff here believes that, for the past few months, you’ve somehow ‘lost your edge’ at dancing. Your coaches were hoping to see improvements in your ballet, but sadly, none have arisen. I don’t know if it has anything to do with your personal life, Ms. Moore, but if you can’t keep work life and personal issues separated, then I fear you will not succeed in this occupation. Therefore, as you probably expected by now, we are replacing you with an amazing, and quite hardworking, rising Russian ballet star. You are free to go now. Pack up all your things and leave the premises immediately. I don’t want to have any conflicting run-ins today.”
Chloe sat in her seat quietly, ready to burst into tears.
“Why did all the bad stuff have to happen this week? How am I going to get the bills paid this month?” she quietly asked herself. Pain somehow kept finding her. Then she thought about Keith, the only good thing that happened to her for months. So, it was the best and worst times in her life right now.
“Ms. Moore!” Chloe woke up from her daze and turned around to face Henry, who was standing impatiently at his office door, waiting for her to leave.
“Sorry, sir. Thank you.” Why was she saying “thank you?” Was she now such a pushover that she even said “thank you” when someone basically made her life much worse?
Anyways, Chloe didn’t think it mattered that much. She knew since last month that they weren’t going to renew her contract. Some rumors were spreading around about how the coaches thought that her dancing wasn’t as good at it was a year ago, and they regretted ever accepting her resume. Others were about her upsetting the coaches, but she was sure she never did anything worthy of making them furious at her. Chloe sighed to herself, and took one last look her workplace, walking out the revolving doors with no hope of ever reaching her dreams in professional dancing.
She was strolling down the busy streets of LA with a severely tear-streaked face. She had no doubt people were staring at her as if she were insane. She didn’t know how she could face Keith looking like this. It might’ve just broken his heart into two, and she wouldn’t want to be responsible for such a crime. So, Chloe thought it best that she let out her steam and tears at the solitude of the beach.
Within ten minutes of getting in her car, Chloe was sitting on the beautiful shores of the nearest California beach. It was breathtakingly magnificent. She breathed in deeply, trying to forget her sadness. The cool waves washed over her feet, soaking the hem of her lavender sundress, but she could care less about that right now. She got up, and, with a huge grin on her face, ran deeper into the water, till the salty seawater reached her hips, and she was practically wading in it.
Chloe couldn’t be more happy right then, but she soon noticed someone very familiar walking along the shore, a tall, strikingly handsome blonde man, and it didn’t take long for her to recognize exactly who it was.
“Keith, Keith!!! What are you doing here?!” Chloe shouted to him at the top of her lungs, hoping he’d hear her over the roar of the waves. He turned to look in her direction, and stopped dead in his tracks.
“CHLOE???!!! What on earth are you doing?!” He bellowed out a laugh, seeing her in a drenched sundress and all alone in the water.
“I wanted to find my happy place!” Chloe lied though, because her ultimate happy place was Keith. She waded back to shore, and he helped her out of the water.
“Thanks,” she smiled at him, happy to see that perfect face of his once again.
“Chivalry isn’t dead, darling,” he returned the smile and led her by the hand to a towel he spread out on the barren shoreline. No one else was around except them.
“So,” Keith began, and Chloe immediately knew what he was going to ask her, “what on earth were you doing out there in your pretty sundress, Chlo?” Chloe’s smile faded when she once more recalled the horrible events that had recently happened.
“I, I , was fired from my job today. Some beautiful Russian ballerina is replacing me.” Keith, unexpectedly, smiled from ear to ear at that news, which hurt Chloe a little.
“You think that’s a good thing, Keith?” Chloe asked him as politely as she could while miffed.
“Actually, yes, definitely! You don’t remember what I asked you to do for me as a favor yesterday, Chlo?” Chloe thought back to their conversation on her sofa yesterday night, but couldn’t recall what he said for a few seconds.
“OH! Was it about not renewing my contract or getting a new job?”
“Yep, and, well, I told you that my news would come as a big shock to you, didn’t I?”
“Uh-huh…so?”
“So, I spoke with my producer, Sharon Browne, today. But, I’ve decided not to tell you anything about it until we spend the weekend together in my dad’s timeshare.” “Aww, c’mon Keith, please? I can really use some good news right about now.” Chloe gave him her extremely adorable puppy dog eyes, poking at his emotions. Keith wouldn’t budge on his decision, though.
“Now let’s get you home and into some warm and dry clothes. I can’t have you catching a cold on the most amazing weekend of your life.” He gave her his famous wink and helped her off the sand. He wrapped the towel around Chloe and led her off to his rented truck.
Chloe was thanking God for sending her such a guardian angel in her greatest time of need. Little did she know, her guardian angel was about to make her life an adventure.

Thank you all SO much for reading, and going easy on me! Here's more for you all to read. Enjoy! (constructive criticism is welcomed!) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Wow, Keith, this beach is stunning. I can see why your dad chose here to buy a timeshare.”
“You like it?” Keith looked back at her, grinning uncontrollably.
“How could I NOT like it? It’s the prettiest beach I’ve ever seen in Cali.”
“Yeah, I love it a whole lot. The waves are perfect for us surfers, too.” He gazed out at the horizon, taking in the view and sound of it all. Chloe was looking around for the beach house, but couldn’t find it.
“Um, Keith? Where exactly is the beach house?” Keith looked at her with a mischievous gaze in his eye.
“That’s one of the big surprises.”
“Right.” Chloe laughed and gave him a little shove. “So, is it invisible or something?”
“Aw, fine.” He gave up his attempt to hide his reason of untying the small rowboat.
“See that small island out there?” He pointed to a small island covered with thick foliage.
“Yeah…is that where…?”
“Mmhmmm, surprise!” They laughed in unison and loaded up their stuff into the boat.
While rowing across the crystal blue water, they pointed out fish and talked about Celtic Thunder and Ireland. The more Chloe heard about Celtic Thunder, the more she fell in love with them. And the more she heard about Ireland, the more she wanted to live there. She’d been saving up her money to chase that dream for years, and she wasn’t about to give up on it either.
Finally, they reached their destination, and Keith jumped out to push the boat to shore. Chloe helped Keith get the bags, but Keith wouldn’t let her take anything but very lightweight bags. She was secretly touched by his gentlemanly gesture, truly believing once before that chivalry was actually dead. But that rule apparently didn’t apply to Keith; in fact, he seemed to defy almost every aspect of the average male nowadays. It scared and enticed her spirit all at once, but she still refused to give her heart away and let fly freely.
Keith unlocked the door to the whitewashed, yet rustically beautifully, beach house.
“How old is this house, Keith? It’s beautiful.”
“It’s about 100 years old, Chlo. It’s old, but that’s what gives it charm.”
“So true,” she and Keith stepped into the century old home, and she admired its outstanding beauty. It was decorated to perfectly match a home you would find in the 18th century, and that was Chloe’s favorite style, because it was captivating and, in a few ways, romantic. Keith led her to one of the rooms, and he set her suitcase on the floor next to her bed.
“Growing fond of it already, Chlo? Wow, I’m impressed.” He whistled childishly, but his laidback nature is one of the things that drew him to Chloe. She couldn’t help but smile and laugh with him.
“So, whatchya want to do now, Keith?”
“You have to ask?!” Keith pretended to feel offended, putting his hand to his chest with wide eyes.
“Let me guess…surfing?”
“Now you’re on the right track! Are you up for it, Chloe Moore? Or are you afraid of me being so much better at surfing?”
“Better?! HA! No way, mister! If you want a showdown, you’re gunna get a showdown!”
“Well then, bring it sweetheart!”
“I will, count on that Keith. You’re going to be a sore loser when I’m done with you.”
She playfully kicked him out of her room and changed into her wetsuit. She and Keith ran outside, bursting with laughter, as they grabbed their boards and raced to the shore.
It was pristine weather for surfing and the waves were more than perfect. Chloe and Keith made an adorable couple, and even cuter while surfing with each other. Unfortunately for Keith, though he should’ve seen it coming, he lost every challenge he made with Chloe. He was mind blown and Chloe’s talents.
They lay out under the night sky on the beach after surfing for hours, and Keith was still in shock.
“Keith, really,” Chloe said with a laugh in her musical soprano voice, “you’re an amazing surfer. I’m not worth being admired that much.”
“WHAT?!! You beat me a million times, and you say you’re not worthy of admiration? Are you feeling alright, Chlo, or did those waves knock you around too much?”
“I’m fine, thanks,” she said with a smile, “so, do you have any brothers or sisters? I’ve never asked you too much about your family life.”
“Yep, I have one sister, and she’s 17. She has an incredibly lovely voice, and is also hoping to become a Celtic singe as well. She inspires me a lot, the way she pursues things that seem so out of her reach. Her passion and fire inside of her blows me away at times.”
“I’d absolutely love to meet her sometime.”
“Great! She’d adore you. You’re her kind of gal to hang around with.” They smiled at each other, and Keith slowly placed her hand in his and intertwined their fingers.
“So, since you want to meet my sister, does that mean you’re promising to come with me to Ireland?”
“Well, maybe…”
“Nice! I got a maybe!” They smiled at each other, and Keith slowly placed his hand in hers and intertwined their fingers. Chloe looked at that gesture as one of friendship because she didn’t think it possible for Keith to ever fall in love, or even think of falling in love, with a girl as simple and imperfect as her.
“What about you? Do you have any siblings, Chlo?”
“Yes, I do. My little sister is 11, ten years younger than I am. She grew up looking at me as more of a second mother rather than a sister, and I love that. She and I couldn’t be more closely knit, and she’s the exact replica of me. I write to her every month and call her every week.”
“That’s wonderful, Chlo. She must be such an angel, knowing you.” Chloe blushed, and Keith squeezed her hand tightly.
“Hey, are you hungry? I totally forgot we both haven’t eaten for hours.” Chloe remarked, realizing it was now way past sunset.
“Actually, I am a bit peckish. Let’s get inside before you get sick.” Chloe cocked her head to the side, looking at Keith in pure confusion.
“You know, you worry about me too much.”
“No, I worry about you enough. If I worried about you too much, I’d be stalking you.”
“Hmmm, good point.” They walked into the beach house, laughing together as usual.

The weekend flew by, and the couple enjoyed themselves to the fullest. Keith’s favorite part of the weekend was begging Chloe to sing for him.
“Please, oh please, oh please, oh please Chlo!!! You can’t be bad at it! And I promise, cross my heart, I won’t laugh.” He pouted and clasped his hands together.
Ugh, why couldn’t she ever say no to him! So she sang Caledonia in her sweet and rich soprano voice, which made Keith fall in love with her singing.
“That. Was. TOO GOOD FOR WORDS!!!” He continually praised her till the end of the night.
“That was one of the best weekends I’ve ever had, Chlo. You really made it something very special for me.”
“Aww, Keith, I’m happy that you’re happy. I couldn’t have been more joyful, either. Despite the recent issues I’ve been in.”
“OH! Drat, that’s right, I need to tell you my 2nd surprise.” There he was with the mischievous smirk again, but the funny thing was that it made him look painstakingly beautiful to Chloe. Her heart sped up, but she breathed in deeply to calm herself and remind her that he was an angel compared to her.
“Ready, Chlo? Brace yourself, Ms. Moore.” He sat down with her next to their loaded rowboat, taking her two hands into his and looking her deeply in the eyes.
“I…think so?” Keith threw back his head and bellowed with laughter once more.
“Keith! Snap back into reality, silly!” Chloe gave him a look of concern, wondering if he’d lost it yet. Maybe this really was good news. She felt her face suddenly light up with curiosity as she leaned in closer to Keith.
“Okay, so, like I said, I talked to Sharon, and she’s just as, if not more, beyond impressed with you. See, since we’re beginning an entirely new Celtic Thunder show, we need more dancers and even a female singer for two or three songs. You match every little detail Sharon’s been looking for in a female dancer and singer, and you’re better than most, because you can both sing and dance! So, I told her how your contract expired in a month’s time, and she asked me that, since you are so willing to move outta here, if you’re willing to take it, go with me back to Ireland and take up the job of an official Celtic Thunder dancer and singer. Of course, it’s still entirely up to you and I’m not trying to force you into this, but honestly, I’d love it if you came to Ireland.”
Chloe didn’t know what to think at that moment. Someone she never even met wanted her to be a part of the famous Celtic Thunder?!
“Keith, are you being serious, or just picking at my emotions?” Keith stared at Chloe in abhorrence.
“Why would I ever want to play with your emotions, Chlo? I’d never dream of it, sweetheart. I’m being completely serious.” She was still speechless, but not because she was going to say no, but because she never thought that she’d ever be offered such an unbelievable job.
“Keith, of course I’ll accept Sharon’s request!!! I couldn’t in my life dream of turning such an offer down!!! I’ve been waiting my whole life to be in something this big!!!”
She tackled Keith with a big bear hug, and they laid on the sand laughing.
“REALLY, Chlo?!! YOU MEAN IT?!” Keith gasped for air, apparently losing it from her shocking and immediate response.
“And, one more thing, Chlo.” Chloe looked at Keith intently. “If you…you know,” Keith was somewhat hesitating, “can’t find a place… to stay, then, I’ll be more than happy to take you in. I have a three-bedroom home in Donegal, and you know I always love having you around.”
“Keith, how adorably sweet of you! Thank you for your offer,” she gave him a shy little kiss on the cheek, “and I may just take it up, because I can have my bags pack in an hour, but I can’t get a home as quickly.”
“Well, don’t worry your pretty little head about that one bit, darling. I’ll be more than happy to help you find a place of your own. I’m so ecstatic that you said yes! I was so afraid of you objecting.”
“Never.” Keith returned her kiss by kissing her on the forehead.
“Well Chlo, we should be heading back now. C’mon, slow poke!” They hoped into the boat, with Keith rowing them to the nearby main shoreline. They stopped in a local diner for dinner, and then headed back to Chloe’s Irish apartment.
When they unpacked, Chloe made tea while Keith set up a warm fire.
“When do we head to Ireland, Keith? I’m so excited, but I also need to get everything in order, packed, and set up. Keith put his arm around Chloe and gave her a squeeze around the shoulders,
“We leave in two weeks, dear. I bought plane tickets for a ten-o-clock Friday morning flight as soon as I received Sharon’s response.”
“Great! I’ll be done with packing up my clothes and things by this week. And, well, I already promised all this furniture to a friend of mine, so that’s taken care of.” Keith was yet again astonished at Chloe.
“Whoa Chlo, you’re a really diligent lass. That’s quite cute, actually. I love your enthusiasm about all of this.”
Chloe giggled, “Why, thank you, kind sir.” Keith glanced up at the clock.
“I think it’s about time you get to bed, darling.”
Chloe pouted, refusing to get up. “Why?”
Keith laughed, “Because I said so, that’s why.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“NOOOO.”
Keith threw his hands in the air. “Fine.”
He took their cups into the kitchen, walked into the living room, put out the fire, and stood over Chloe, trying to look ferocious. But, Chloe just giggled, until she saw his mischievous grin again, then she stopped her laughter promptly and just stared at Keith with wide eyes.
“I know how to deal with stubbornness, Chlo.” He winked at her and a second later, she was swooped off the floor and in his arms. He carried her to the doorway of her bedroom and gently set her down on her feet again. Chloe was blushing deep red, though she actually did like him carrying her. Keith kept smiling down at her sweetly,
“You okay, Chlo? You look a bit stunned, to say the least.”
Chloe gave a nervous laugh, “When you say you know how to deal with stubbornness, you weren’t kidding.”
They laughed and hugged, said goodnights, and both of them slept soundly, secretly dreaming of each other.

Here's an update...hope you all like it! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two weeks flew by very quickly, and excitement stirred within Keith and Chloe. They spent time looking for houses for Chloe, packing Chloe’s ornaments and pictures, moving out the furniture, and, of course, spent time with each other in the parks, beaches, and even outdoor malls. Chloe was so happy that she grew so much closer to Keith during the two weeks she had left in LA, and Keith was happy he had Chloe all to himself for those two weeks. Both wished they could share their feelings for each other more and more each day, but they both quieted those thoughts for fear of rejection, and also, in Chloe’s case, fear of heartbreak. She trusted Keith completely, but she still had a hard time letting go of past situations and memories. Finally, the day came for them to head out to Ireland. “Do you have everything, Chlo?” “Um, let me double-check, Keith. Actually, I’ll triple-check, because you asked me the same question ten minutes ago silly!” She punched Keith lightly on the arm, and checked all her bags. “Yup! I’m ready to go, you?” “Packed at ready at your call, my lady.” Keith bowed to her, offering up his arm to her. She cheerfully took his arm and they gracefully glided down the stairs, in step with each other. When they reached the airport and checked through security, Keith played some of Celtic Thunder’s older albums for Chloe to hear. “WOW, you all have amazing voices. And that’s a complete understatement.” Chloe was sure that she saw Keith blush. Then, unknowing to Keith, who was on his cell with Ryan Kelly, Keith’s love song The Island came on. Chloe listened to every word of it, and she fell in love with the song entirely. She even prayed a little prayer that one day, something will spark between her and Keith, and that it would turn out just like Keith’s song. Hey, she already got her lifetime wish, which was to be involved in an internationally large production, so why wouldn’t she be able to get her heart’s wish for an everlasting love? She thought about the reasons why that wish wouldn’t come true, but she tuned it out for a while. That song inspired her heart, and she was giving her feeling so leeway, finally. Keith saw her smiling to herself as they began boarding the plane, “Oh, it’s nothing Keith. Don’t worry. What’d Ryan say?” Keith gave raised his eyebrow in suspicion, but dropped it for the meantime. “He said that the guys and Sharon can’t wait to meet you, so they’re setting up a little surprise for you.” He winked at Chloe, “Ryan was giving me details on where they’ll be at and was asking me what time our flight was going to land.” “Oh, okay. I can’t to meet them, either! This is all so exciting and new to me. But, to be honest, you really make this ten times as exciting and enjoyable for me.” Keith held her hand, kissed it, and led her to their seats. The flight was boring, as most flights are. Chloe didn’t sleep much the night before, so she fell asleep on Keith’s shoulder, while Keith read a book. “Chlo, sweetheart, wake up. We’re landing.” Chloe groggily sat up and rubbed her eyes, taking in her surroundings, forgetting for a few seconds that she was on her way to Ireland with Keith. “Thanks for waking me, Keith.” She smiled up at him with a gorgeous twinkle in her eyes, “You’re most welcome, darling. I can’t wait till the guys meet you. First thing we’ll do tomorrow is visit the prettiest parts of Donegal. You’re going to fall in love with it the moment we land.” Chloe leaned back and giggled, “I can’t wait! Ireland’s my absolute favorite country. I’ve wanted to visit there since high school.” “Good, because that means I get to be your personal tour guide.” “I couldn’t have chosen anyone better!” They landed, walked down the stairs to the first level of the airport, and picked up their luggage. They wheeled it all out to the pick-up and waiting area. Keith flipped open his phone and speed-dialed Ryan. “Hey Ry, we’re waiting in the south end of the pick-up area. Heading over here now? Great, see you soon!” Keith hung up and put his arm around Chloe, “He’s on his way to get us. Excitement’s written all over his forehead. I’m going to need to tell the boys that you’re all mine, because they’re going to be arranging dates with you by the end of the night if I don’t place a personal claim on you first.” Chloe put her hand over her chest, “Wow, I’m that big of a deal? I think you all are a little too loving towards me. I’m really not a girl worth fighting for.” “WHAT? !!!!” Keith nearly yelped when I said that, as if it stabbed him in the heart to hear me say those words. “Chloe, I’m truly speaking from the heart when I say, I have never ever, EVER in my life met a girl so authentic, graceful, loving, nurturing, talented, witty, and inconceivably beautiful.” He took her hands into his and titled her chin up, “NEVER underestimate your gorgeous self, because, and this is still coming from my heart, you even have the power to make me the happiest man I’ve ever been when I’m around you. And ONLY you.” Keith’s words touched Chloe greatly, sparking joyful tears in her eyes. “Keith, I… I’m… sooo… sooo truly, touched, like you’re the angel and you’ve just blessed me beyond compare.” He hugged her warmly, and they both clandestinely started feeling like they began falling for their true love. Then, they both heard a loud car horn honk, and Keith immediately looked up and smiled back down at Chloe. She knew Ryan had arrived. Keith took Chloe lovingly by the hand, “Here he is, Chlo!” Ryan couldn’t hop out of the car any faster. “Keith! Finally, it seems like it’s been forever.” He and Keith laughed and hugged, “Missed you too, Ry. It’s been an amazing trip, all because of Ms. Chloe Moore here. Chloe took in Ryan’s glowing disposition. He was a little bit shorter than Keith, dark hair, dark and tempting eyes, and very in-shape. But, in Chloe’s standards, He just didn’t match up at all to Keith’s divine beauty. “Chloe Moore, it’s an absolute pleasure to meet you. Sharon and Keith here haven’t stopped talking about the newest elegant lass joining Celtic Thunder.” Ryan gave Chloe a friendly hug and warm smile. “Thank you so very much, Ryan. This still feels like a dream to me. I’m just hoping that, if it is a dream, I don’t ever wake up.” Keith pinched Chloe to help her realize this was reality. She gave him a light slap on the back of his head. Ryan laughed hysterically. “I can tell she’s great craic, Keith.” “More than you or I can handle, Ry.” The two men laughed, and Chloe just stared helplessly. “Oh, geez, you guys are weird.” She put her hands on her hips and jokingly rolled her eyes at them. “Let’s get these things in the car, fellas.” They simultaneously looked at each other and then at her, and, with stiff nods and smirks on their faces, they lifted her and placed her in the car. “Guys, guys! You all are really, truly crazy!” Chloe wanted to sound upset, but she ended up laughing, too. Keith kissed her on the forehead, “Well, you said put the luggage in the car,” then, since he knew he’d be in big trouble if he didn’t run, he quickly gave her a wink and shut her door. Chloe glared at them, but they knew she was kidding, so they just continued to smile. When Keith and Ryan climbed into Ryan’s Mercedes-Benz, they sped off towards the surprise welcome party the guys set up for Chloe. “So, Chloe, you certainly agreed to you coming to Ireland rather quickly, and we’re all so happy that you did! But what made you say yes so quickly?” “Well Ryan, I just felt like my destiny and dreams would take me to Ireland. I’ve wanted to come here since I was a young teenager in high school, but it never really worked out. When Sharon offered me such a blessed opportunity, I could not possibly object at all.” Ryan smiled from ear to ear in the rear view mirror when he heard that, and he knew Keith was more than ecstatic to have Chloe living here now. “Well, welcome to your inviting and adventurous new home, lass.” “Thanks, Ry! I’m glad God’s sent me to be with incredible people such as Keith, you, and the rest of the guys.” Keith held onto Chloe’s hand, smiling during the entire car ride. Chloe looked up toward the serene Irish sky, knowing her wishes and dreams laid here in this beautiful land, waiting especially for her. But dangers were also there, unseen yet lurking.

Thanks again SO much for reading and commenting! You all are such sweethearts here's another update for y'all. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was dark outside, the moonlight glistening off the thick foliage and flowers around the outside of Keith’s home. Ryan parked up in the already filled driveway, and popped up the trunk so he and Keith could grab the luggage. “We’re here, Chlo!” Both Keith and Ryan screamed out with joy simultaneously. Keith opened Chloe’s car door for her, helping her get out. “Thanks, fellas, for that exciting statement of OBVIOUSNESS.” They chuckled, “No problem, Chlo,” Keith nudged her, “Just making sure you’re not overwhelmed yet by Ireland.” “Me, overwhelmed by Ireland?! HA! No way at all, Keith! You of all people should know THAT!” The trio walked up to the front door, and Keith banged on it as loud as he could because someone had the stereo’s volume up quite loudly. No one answered, so Keith decided to yell, “Hey! Are y’all gonna let us in or not? I don’t think this will be a very good first impression on Chloe!” “Oh, hush up you,” Chloe punched his Keith’s arm, “don’t make them feel bad for going a little crazy with the music.” Keith rolled his eyes, sticking out his tongue at her. “Um, Keith,” Ryan tapped on Keith’s shoulder, “I’m getting a tad bit weighed down here, do you mind helping me out with these bags?” Poor Ryan was standing behind Keith and Chloe, trying his best to hold the entire heavy luggage without tipping backwards. When Keith and Chloe turned around, they burst out in laughter and immediately came to Ryan’s rescue. “Poor, poor Ry!” Chloe said in her nurturing mother voice. She quickly grabbed all of her luggage from him, and Keith grabbed all of his. “Phew, thanks!” Ryan stretched out his back and smiled contentedly. “Okay, obviously they can’t hear us, so I’m calling Paul.” Ryan grabbed his cell phone out of his pocket and speed-dialed Paul. In no time at all, Paul opened up the door, smiling widely and warmly. “Hey! Welcome back you all!” Paul ran out the door and grabbed Keith in a big bear hug, purposely lifting him off the ground. “Paul Byrom, nice to see you too, but put me down!!! I don’t like being lifted!” The two men were laughing like schoolboys, “Oh, come now Keith,” Paul began, “don’t tell me you lost your craic when you went off to Los Angeles!” Ryan threw his head back in a roar of laughter, “How could he have lost his sense of craic when he met this lovely woman?” Paul stopped, finally realizing he didn’t introduce himself as yet to Chloe. “Oops,” Paul placed Keith back onto his own two feet and looked directly at Chloe. “Hello there, dear.” He took Chloe’s hand into his and kissed it gently. “I’m Paul Byrom, and it’s an absolute pleasure to meet you.” Chloe smiled up at Paul, surprised that he could so quickly go from crazy to charming. Of course, though he was extremely handsome as well, he didn’t have the same charm and spirit as Keith. “It’s a pleasure to meet you also, Paul. My name is Chloe Moore.” “Ah, yes. We’ve all been obsessing over you agreeing to join Celtic Thunder. You’re going to be an absolute highlight in our upcoming show.” “Really? Wow, that’s wonderful! But, really, you all are the most amazing part of it all.” “Well thank you, darling,” Paul said graciously, with a twinkle in his eye when he looked at her. “Hey, Paul,” Keith cut in after a moment of silence, “Don’t get any ideas, please. She’s mine.” Paul raised his eyebrow at Keith, “Oh, so you’re using a disclaimer on her. Well, I can see why. She’s an adorable little angel. You’ll need to use it more often.” Paul laughed, winked and Chloe, pat Keith on the back, and walked into the house with a spring in his step. “Such a show-off,” Keith whispered to Chloe. She giggled and held onto Keith’s arm. The couple walked into Keith’s urban but Irish home, and they were greeted by a loud “Surprise!” Chloe put her hand to her mouth and couldn’t help but laugh. Everyone was wearing leprechaun hats, obviously trying to lighten the mood for Chloe. Keith simply laughed his head off and stared at Chloe, who seemed to be enjoying every moment with his friends. The other vocalists of Celtic Thunder introduced themselves to Chloe when everything settled down. “Hi there little lass, I’m George Donaldson. It is a pleasure to meet you, my dear.” “Hello, Chloe! My name is Damian McGinty, and it’s so wonderful to meet you! It’s going to be very exciting having you join Celtic Thunder.” Both George and Damian kissed Chloe’s hand, and she could do nothing else but stand there politely and blush. All the guys were being so incredibly nice to her, but there was one other person she had yet to see. “Where’s Sharon?” Chloe whispered into Keith’s ear. He gave her his grin, and slowly looked over his shoulder. There was Sharon, smiling lovingly at the all the guys and Chloe. “Hello, my dear. You must already know that I’m Sharon Browne, Celtic Thunder’s producer. I have to say, I haven’t been so excited since Celtic Thunder began. You have no idea how happy I am that you agreed to take the job. It will most definitely be a rewarding one, I can guarantee that to you.” Chloe stood speechless for a moment, but when Keith elbowed her, she came back to reality. “It’s an honor to be offered such a prestigious job, Ms. Browne. Passing up this offer would be crazy of me. Thank you so much for putting all this faith in my abilities.” Sharon smiled at her and took Chloe’s hand into both of hers. “Sweetheart, I have so much faith in you because Keith reads people well, and when he told me about you, I knew you were an absolute angel sent to us, so I didn’t need you to audition for me at all. I can’t wait till Monday, when you get a taste of the hardworking but thrilling feel of Celtic Thunder. You’re going to take to it like a fish to water.” Sharon embraced Chloe in a warm and motherly hug. “Well you all, I think I’d better get going home. It’s already 1 AM.” All the others were shocked at the time when they glanced at the clock. “We all should also be getting home,” Paul suggested, winking at Keith. Keith looked like he wanted to tackle Paul after that. The rest of the guys agreed, so they hugged and kissed Chloe, hugged Keith, and waved as they walked out the house. “Goodness, what a night!” Chloe exclaimed, exasperated from the traveling. “Tell me about it,” Keith said with a smile in his voice and on his face. “Come now, let’s get you to bed, sleepyhead!” They both headed up the stairs with their hands intertwined with each other’s. Keith opened up the beautiful pale blue guestroom, “Here you are, darling. I ordered Damian to make it as comfortable as possible, so if it’s not, let me know and he’ll be suffering some dire consequences.” Chloe’s smile lit up, “Thanks so much, Keith. You are such a sweetheart.” He definitely blushed this time, “Not as much as you are, Chlo.” Chloe kissed him sweetly on the cheek, “Go get some rest, silly. Good night Keith!” He gave her a loving hug and walked out the room, “Night Chlo! Sleep tight!” “You too, Keith!” She called back to him. Chloe shut the door, changed into her silky green nightgown, and breathed in deeply as she sprawled out on the bed. She lay there smiling with utter content. She had finally met they guys of Celtic Thunder, and she would soon be touring with Keith and the rest all over the United States. Then she began thinking mainly about Keith, and for once, she didn’t try to push back her growing feelings for him. Now she was closer to him than ever before, and no land or bodies of water were separating them any longer. So, why was she holding back from letting him know how she felt, even when she really wanted to let him know. Fear of rejection, fear of the past, fear of mistakes, fear of… being loved? Was that it? Did she believe that she wasn’t worthy of being loved? Well, she did believe that Keith deserved a better woman than herself, though he always protested against that. Ugh, her heart wanted to do two things. One half of her heart was telling her to tell him that she loved him dearly, disregarding all her fears. But the other more unoptimistic half of her heart was begging her to just shut up her love for Keith, and to merely be contented with her friendship with Keith. Chloe had never been more confused before in her life. The thoughts began to overwhelm her, and she drifted off to sleep in a field of dreams.

“Chlo…Chlo? Wake up, sweetheart. I have a whole day planned for us before we start rehearsals tomorrow…”
Keith was standing at Chloe’s bedside smiling down at her. He was poking her on her back to wake her up. Chloe rolled over flat onto the bed, groaned and stretched. She rubbed her eyes and was startled to see Keith standing there.
“Wha..?” Keith just kept smiling,
“Good morning, Chlo!” He took a seat at the end of the bed.
“Good morning too you too, Keith.” Chloe smiled at him as best as she could while she was still somewhat asleep.
“So, what are we doing today?”
“Oh, you’re going to love what I have planned for just the two of us today, Chlo! But, it’s a surprise, so as soon as you get dressed and eat, then we’ll head out.”
Chloe sat up, crawled over where Keith sat, and before she could give him a kiss on the cheek, he kissed her on the forehead. She blinked at him in confusion, but he just skipped out of the room with a smile,
“See you in a few minutes. Chlo!” Chloe began to wonder if he was falling for her the same way she was falling for him. But why would he want a girl with a broken heart?
She shook away the thought because she had to hurry and get ready. When she was done, Chloe walked into the kitchen and found Keith sitting at a little breakfast nook in the corner of the room, waiting politely for her.
“You look beautiful.” Keith admired Chloe as she stood in the middle of the doorway blushing deeply.
“Thanks Keith. You’re a sweetie.” When they finished breakfast, Chloe cleaned up the dishes and grabbed her purse. Keith held out his arm to her and the two of them hurried out the door with big smiles on their faces. They got into Keith’s car and backed out the driveway.
“So, now are you going to tell me where we’re going, mister?”
“Ha, ha nope, lass! I told you, this is going to be a day of surprises.” Chloe gave him her cute stern stare, but he just looked at her with raised eyebrows.
“You’re really something else, Keith Harkin.”
He laughed and gave her a side glance, “A good something else, I hope?”
“Of course, Keith!” Chloe looked down at the car floor and whispered to herself, “My Prince Charming, actually.” Keith thought he heard her say something,
“What was that, Chlo?” She looked at him with a look of utter embarrassment,
“Oh, uh, um, it’s nothing Keith.”
“Okay, darling.” He took her hand and squeezed it, and Chloe’s face lit up when he took her hand.
After ten minutes, Keith pulled up in front of an exquisitely beautiful nature park, with a trail that led to gorgeous Irish fields and cliffs.
“Here we are!” Keith hopped out the car and opened up the door for Chloe. She took his stretched out hand and squealed with delight.
“Aw, Keith, you know me so well! This is what I’ve always dreamed of seeing!”
“Well then, why are we standing here? Let’s get going, Chlo!”
So, they ran down the path till they reached lush green and flowered fields sitting on the edge of the towering cliffs. Chloe couldn’t have been happier, in fact, she never stopped smiling or laughing.
Keith’s heart was delighted to see Chloe so cheery. He knew quite well that she suffered from a broken heart, but he loved her dearly, and he wanted to be the one who healed it for her.
They stayed there till noontime, and Keith took Chloe out to a diner by the docks for lunch.
“This place is so beautiful, Keith! I’ve never seen places like this in America.
“Really? Great! Then I guess you haven’t ever been shopping on Irish docks, either.”
“Nope.”
Keith winked at her, “I’m taking you shopping, then.”
So they spent the rest of the afternoon having fun goofing around in the stores and teasing each other like old friends.
When the sun began setting, Keith and Chloe sat on the edge of the docks and watched the sun go down. The sky was painted with colors of orange, pink, and purple. It was the prettiest sunset Chloe witnessed in quite a long time.
“Today was the most fun I’ve had in years, Keith, and it’s all thanks to you. You really do make things happier and more enjoyable for me. I owe you so much for all of this.”
“Owe ME? Never in your life, Chlo! I do this because I love to see you happy. You should be happy, Chlo.” Chloe sighed with contentment and leaned on Keith’s shoulder.
After a few minutes of silence, Keith decided to ask Chloe a question that had been on his mind for quite some time.
“Chlo, um, there’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you…” Chloe heard Keith hesitate, so she opened her eyes and stared up at him.
“Go ahead, Keith, ask me whatever you like.”
“Well, alright. It’s just…we’re awfully close for knowing each other for only a month, yet it seems like there some kind of, I don’t know, bond I guess, between us. I, I just…wanted to know…”
Chloe’s heart jumped for joy. “…how I feel about you?”
he looked at her with wide eyes. “How did you…?”
Chloe giggled, “You don’t think that I wonder about the same thing too, Keith?” She was letting the carefree side of her heart get the best of her for once, “There is a…special bond between us. But…I just…just…” Chloe took in a deep breath, “I just don’t…don’t think you should be too involved with such an unworthy girl such as me.”
“Chlo, I’m not some angel sent from above, you know. You really need to appreciate your own beauty and admirable attributes, because you have countless things about you that should be admired. Never think you’re unworthy of anyone or anything, because you’re a rare, beautiful, and loving young woman.”
A tear flowed down Chloe’s rosy cheek, and Keith wiped it away affectionately with his thumb.
“So Chlo, you were talking about being ‘involved’ with me. Hmmmm…. were you implying that you’re falling in love with me?” Chloe shut her eyes tightly and covered her face with her hands. Keith laughed at her and tried to move her hands from her face.
“Oh, come now Chlo, what are you afraid of.” This was the very thing Chloe was trying to stay away from, and she still happened to run into it. Keith realized that Chloe WAS actually afraid of something, and he was pretty sure it had something to do with her hidden feelings for him.
“Chlo, instead of you worrying about what to say, let me say what’s in my heart first. Chloe Moore, since the day we met out on that street when you were so devastated, there was something about you that stood out from every other girl I ever came in contact with. You made me happy by just being around me, and all you had to do was smile and you’d send my heart flying. I didn’t want to ruin our friendship, though, nor complicate your life. I see your broken heart, darling, and I desperately want to be the one to fix it. I know you’re afraid of rejection and heartbreak, but Chlo, I want to be your savior, not your heartbreaker. I love you, Chloe. Please, say you’ll love me too?”
Chloe lifted her tear-stained, yet smiling face. Her eyes were blurry from her crying, but she could still see Keith’s face glowing like a god. He never stopped taking her breath away, and she whispered softly,
“I love you with all my heart Keith. I always have. My heart doesn’t have much to offer besides a few shattered pieces, but you’re the one who heals it and replaces every missing part of it. Thank you, Keith, for loving such a broken girl.”
Keith touched her forehead with his, and closed his eyes. “You’re not a broken girl, Chlo. You’re a beautifully broken girl.”
Chloe giggled softly, and her glowing green eyes met with Keith’s shining blue eyes. She sat there gazing deeply at him, and slowly Keith moved closer and closer to Chloe. Their noses touched, and before she knew it, Keith was kissing her tenderly and soothingly. In that moment, the heartbreak, the wounds and cuts on her heart, and all her painful memories vanished from her mind. She was positive that Keith was her Celtic prince, and she would be his devoted princess. Her life, in this instant, changed for the better. Celtic Thunder and Ireland now had whole new meanings, all because of Keith Harkin. She’d never been happier, and she thought for sure this happiness had no fast approaching end.

Here's more...enjoy! ;D ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chloe woke up early the next morning with a spring in her step,
“Morning, Keith!” Keith was sitting on the sofa reading while he waited for Chloe to shower and change for rehearsal.
“Good morning, love!” He kissed her and swept her off her feet, spinning her around the living room.
“Are you ready for your very first Celtic Thunder rehearsal?” Chloe beamed with delight.
“Absolutely! Let me just whip up something quick for us to eat and we’ll be on our way.” It was 7 AM when the couple hopped into Keith’s car and sped off to the theatre. Ryan, Paul, George, and Damian were all waiting for the two to arrive.
“What took you all so long?” Damian yelled to the back of the room when he saw Keith and Chloe walk through the doors hand-in-hand.
“Hopefully you all didn’t stay up too late last night.” Paul said as he eyed the two walking down the middle isle of the theatre holding hands.
George smacked Paul on the back of his head, “Paul, really, no need to tease this adorable couple so mercilessly. Next time we catch you with a girl, don’t expect much consideration from us.”
Ryan joined in, “Paul, with a girl? The poor lass would obviously have no other options.”
“Ryan, are you looking for trouble?” Paul threatened under his breath.
“I heard that Paul,” Ryan smirked, “and no, I’m not, because Keith and Chloe will pound you to a pulp in a matter of seconds, so I don’t need to worry about that.”
Paul narrowed his eyes and, in a flash, began chasing Ryan around the huge room. They whizzed past the rest of the crew and jumped off the stage. Fortunately, Sharon walked into the room right on cue.
“Lads, what on earth are you doing?! Settle down and behave like men!”
“Yes, Sharon.” Paul and Ryan bowed their heads to the ground looking guilty. They took a seat on the front row after they greeted Chloe with hugs and Keith with ruffling his hair. Keith didn’t like that at all, which is why they did it. All the other guys took their seats up front too.
Damian sat down next to Chloe, “Hey there, Chlo.” He gave her a glistening smile, “How’s Ireland and Keith treating you?”
Chloe amiably returned the smile. “Amazingly, Damian. You all are the sweetest bunch of guys I’ve ever met.”
“Aw, come now, you’re too adorable for your own good.” He teasingly nudged her on the arm.
“I’ve never seen Keith so happy,” Damian continued, “it’s like you made a complete transformation in his life. He’s always been a cheery guy, of course, but never this…loved and fulfilled. We’re all grateful to you for Keith’s happiness, Chlo. He’s like our brother, and anyone he loves so dearly, we love dearly as well.” Chloe put her hand to her chest and touched Damian’s shoulder.
“Keith also dramatically changed my life also, Damian. He completely healed my wounded heart. Life’s never been more positive for me. I’m glad to know you guys are happy about all of this, too.” Damian gave her a wink and turned to Sharon, who was trying to get everyone’s attention.
“Chloe, darling,” Sharon was calling for Chloe to come stand next to her. Chloe hurried to Sharon’s side.
“This beautiful girl will be out newest dancer and singer.” Sharon was explaining all of this to the band members and other dancers who hadn’t yet heard about Chloe.
“So, please everyone, she’s recently moved to Ireland and things are still new to her. Let’s all make her feel welcomed into the family.” Chloe received lots of hugs and welcomes after Sharon’s speech, and was then directed to a large dance room behind the stage. Chloe worked hard all day long, enjoying the time she spent getting to know the other dancers and learning the new dance movements.
After lunch, Chloe worked on learning the songs she would be singing during the tour. She would even get to sing a song to Keith on the tour, which made her shriek with joy internally. She had to dance with Keith, Ryan, and Damian. She couldn’t wait till they actually began the tour.
When rehearsal was completed for the day, Keith took her out on a romantic dinner date and boat ride. She fell asleep with a smile on her face that night, her heart soaring with love for Keith and her mind at bliss and hope.

The weeks flew by as Celtic Thunder counted down their days till the beginning of their tour. Chloe became more and more of a sister to Ryan, Damian, George, and Paul. She was also becoming good friends with the other female dancers. As the time passed, the love between Chloe and Keith grew immensely. It was more unbreakable than ever before, if that was even possible. They could barely stay away from each other for more than an hour. Everyone they knew commented about how cute of a couple they were, but Keith and Chloe looked beyond their outer beauties for the basis of their love. They chiefly loved each other because of their hearts and the way they completed one another. In fact, though they weren’t in a romantic relationship for more than two months, they had spoken about marriage a few times. Keith, however, had the idea of marrying Chloe in his head all the time. It was a week before they began the tour and Keith had yet another big surprise for Chloe. He made reservations for the most prestigious restaurant near Donegal. “Get dressed, sweetheart. I’m spoiling you tonight.” Keith gave her an impish wink. Chloe put her hands on her hips and grinned, “You ALWAYS spoil me, Keith.” She threw her hands around his neck and put her head on his chest. “And the worst part is that you never let me spoil you.” Keith pulled her close and kissed her, “That’s not true at all, Chlo. You spoil me by loving me too much.” Chloe rolled her eyes playfully and ruffled Keith’s perfect blonde hair. “That doesn’t count, but fine. You win that discussion.” “I knew I would from the start.” Keith threw his head back in laughter when Chloe punched his arm for that comment. “Alright, alright,” Keith sighed happily, “I deserved that one. But let’s go get ready, honey. We have to be at the restaurant by 9 tonight, which is in an hour and thirty minutes.” So they hurried off together upstairs to dress as quickly as they could. Keith helped Chloe into the car and started it, “I know I always say this, but you look so breathtakingly stunning Chlo.” Chloe giggle and blushed, as always. “And you, darling, stand out from among any other Irish man in the crowd.” Keith chuckled and kissed her hand, shifting the car into gear. In a matter of minutes, Keith pulled up in front of a classy and sophisticated bistro. They walked into the restaurant arm-in-arm, laughing and giggling together. They truly did make the cutest couple Ireland ever saw. After dinner, Keith had yet another surprise for Chloe, and she had no suspicions about it either. “Keith….where are we going?” Chloe realized Keith wasn’t on the normal route back to their home, “Keith, are you taking me to another ‘surprise’ place?” Keith smiled widely and gave Chloe a side glance, “You make that sound like it’s a bad thing, Chlo.” “Oh, Keith, really…tonight was amazing as it is. You don’t need to wear yourself out, darling.” “Wear myself out? Never, Chlo! I’m actually really, very excited.” Chloe raised her eyebrows, “Really? Why is that, honey?” “You’ll see!” Keith kept smiling from ear to ear during the rest of the car trip, and Chloe kept trying to decipher the code behind his secret. Keith pulled up onto the shore of a tranquil Irish beach. There was a small motorboat waiting for them on the edge of the shore. “We’re here!” Keith jumped out of the car and opened the door for Chloe. He gently took her by the hand and looked into her jovial eyes, “Excited to see why I brought you here, Chlo?” “Of course!” “Let’s go then, Chlo!” The two ran with interlocked hands to the small boat on the shore. “Where are we going with this, Keith?” They were racing across the moonlit water in a matter of seconds. “Out to sea somewhere, darling.” “Um…that’s a very vague answer you know, silly.” She gave Keith a tap on the nose. Chloe leaned back onto Keith’s chest as they travelled swiftly over the sea. “Look, Chlo.” Chloe looked to see where Keith was pointing to. Out in the distance, she detected the blurry figure of a small island. When the island became more visible, Chloe gasped, “It’s so scenic, Keith! I love it!” Keith parked the boat on the shore and lifted Chloe out of the boat. “Isn’t it, darling? This is my family’s private island. I enjoy coming here to simply escape from the world and enter into my own. Now, I’m no longer alone in my world, but I have someone else to escape with me.” Chloe giggled with delight, and she splashed Keith with a handful of water. Keith shook his head and bellowed with laughter, “Oh, I’ll get you Chlo!” “Betchya can’t!” Keith took off running after Chloe, but she was a dancer, and therefore was slightly more agile than Keith. But, he eventually overtook her, lifted her up off the ground, into his arms, and spun her around. Chloe yelped with loud laughter, and Keith enjoyed seeing her so intensely overjoyed. “Okay, okay…you win Keith! Put…put…put me down!” Keith chuckled and sat her down on the powdery white sand. “So, Keith…is there any other reason why you brought me here?” Keith looked intently at Chloe’s shining face, becoming a bit more serious. “Actually, yes, I did bring you here for another reason, Chlo.” Keith didn’t take his eyes off of Chloe and got down on one knee, “Chlo, being in love with you is the, without exaggeration, most gratifying thing that has ever happened to me. You’re more than I ever deserve or hoped for in the girl of my dreams. I promise to you alone that, for the rest of my life, my heart is and will always be forever yours.” Keith reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small black box, “Chloe Moore,” Keith flipped open the lid on the box, “will you make me the absolute happiest man on earth? Will you marry me?” Chloe smiled wider than she ever did before. She put her hand to her mouth and gasped, “Of course, Keith! Absolutely! I love you too much to ever reject that request from you!” Keith was indeed elated, jubilant, and could barely contain his joy. He carefully took the engagement ring out of the box and slipped it onto Chloe’s delicate finger. Chloe jumped onto Keith, knocking him onto his back. They giggled and kissed on the shoreline sweetly. Their hearts bonded into a tighter knit, interlocking for the rest of eternity. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- that's my favorite part!!! ^.^ You'll never guess what happens next though...

This update will be a cliff hanger, but rest assured it doesn't stop there (you're only half way through at the moment ). Thank you all again SO much for reading <3! Enjoy!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chloe’s alarm clock went off at 5:30, and she woke up with a spring in her step. The night before, Keith Harkin asked her to marry him! She had to be the most blessed girl in the world. Chloe sat up on her bed, realizing there was something small and smooth lying under her palm. She picked it up and gasped in admiration. It was a little angel ornament with Chloe’s name painted on it in small black letters. There was a note left next to the angel. The handwriting looked exactly like Keith’s. It said, “To my love. This is a guardian angel keepsake for you, from your guardian angel. I love you with everything I have, Chlo. From your fiancée, Keith.” Chloe held the small angel ornament close to her heart and a tear flowed down her cheek. She wiped it and smiled down at Keith’s thoughtful gift. She decided to do something thoughtful for him as well. She heard an old saying ‘the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach,’ so Chloe would make Keith a delicious breakfast. She hopped off her bed, showered, and dressed. Chloe didn’t hear anyone downstairs. She peeked into Keith’s bedroom to see if he was still asleep and, sure enough, Keith was sleeping soundly. Chloe giggled at the sight. He was close to rolling off the bed. She quietly closed the door and tiptoed down the squeaky staircase. She skipped into the kitchen and opened up the fridge. She grabbed the ingredients she needed, all except for one. There were no eggs. She was a bit disappointed, but then remembered that there was a small convenience store on the corner, which was about a five minute walk from home. Chloe grabbed her coat and began her beautiful morning walk. It was so calm and peaceful on mornings here in Donegal. She always wanted to live in a place like this, and now she was finally here with her true love. Things couldn’t have been better. Then, utterly shocked out of her mind, Chloe was violently grabbed from behind. She immediately tried to scream for help at the top of her lungs, but the person who grabbed her pressed their hand against her mouth. “Hello, Ms. Moore,” the voice was male and husky, but it didn’t sound familiar to Chloe. “Come with me please, if you do not want any harm to come to your loved ones.” Tears flowed once more down Chloe’s cheeks when she thought about the fact of Keith and the guys getting hurt, or her family having to suffer. She thought about never being able to see Keith again, nor go on tour with Celtic Thunder. What did this man want with her? His voice didn’t sound Irish, in fact, he actually sounded American. But maybe his accent was a disguise. That no longer mattered at the moment, though. Her loved ones were in danger, and so was she. What could she do? What sacrifice would she need to pay in order to get out of this mess? Life once again took a hopeless turn. “Any more news yet?” Keith asked Ryan and Paul anxiously. His voice cracked from all his crying, and he made no attempt to hide his tears. Earlier this morning, his fiancée was kidnapped without a visible trace. Her face and voice were the only two things that filled his mind, and he kept telling himself that he should’ve been there to save here. He believed without a doubt that this was completely his fault. Paul, Ryan, Damian, and George tried to convince him otherwise, but Keith would just tune them out and think about Chloe. There wasn’t a moment the guys saw Keith stop crying. Paul gave Keith an update, “The police have some traces of evidence that they’re processing at the moment. They have a few suspects, but they’re trying to narrow down the list as fast as possible.” Ryan took a seat next to Keith, who sat despairingly with his head in his hands on the sofa, “Keith, Chloe is a tough girl, and there is no reason why anyone would want to do any permanent damage to her. They most likely know she’s close to you and Celtic Thunder, which means they probably have her to get something from us. Money is the first thing on the list. The point is, we’re all praying for her safety, and she WILL be safe. We won’t leave your side till she’s safely back in your arms, though.” Keith looked up from his hands at Ryan and tried his best to smile. His eyes were swollen red, his face was severely tear-stained, and his breathing was short and shallow. “Th-hanks, Ry. You all aa-re too kk-ind ttt-oo me.” “It’s why were called your friends, Keith.” Ryan smiled and gave Keith a hug. A tear also ran down Ryan’s cheek as he thought about how much Chloe would be missing them too. Damian walked up to Keith and put his hand on Keith’s shoulder, “Maybe we should all take a walk together, Keith. Being here in your home isn’t the best place to be at the moment.” Keith nodded and the guys grabbed their coats. Paul handed Keith his jacket, “This will all work out for the best, Keith. Chloe is such a strong and sweet girl, no one will dare to hurt such a sweet soul.” Paul put his hand on Keith’s back and the group started walking northward on the sidewalk. George walked behind and gave Keith’s shoulders a squeeze, “We postponed the tour till Chloe gets back, Keith. We’re that positive about her safety. We’re not doing a thing without her.” Keith looked over his shoulder and gently patted George’s strong hands. “I know she’s okay, guys. I…I just..miss her.” Keith broke into a sob once more, but was glad his friends were there right beside him during his greatest time of need. Meanwhile, Chloe was now regaining her consciousness. One of the three men knocked her out when her kidnapper literally threw her into the back of a huge grey van. She awoke to a tiny storage closet that was big enough to hold two average-sized people. There was only one light in the closet, which didn’t give off very much light. Chloe was tied down to a petite chair in the middle of the closet and her mouth was gagged with a black cloth. She could hear indistinct chatter outside the closet door. She began to cry silently as she looked at the engagement ring on her finger. She wasn’t even engaged to Keith for twenty-four hours as yet, and now she would almost certainly never see her only love again. She’d only recently begun to understand life in Ireland. Her sobbing grew greater and greater, till she wanted to scream until her voice left her. Would she suffocate in this tiny prison cell? It wasn’t fair! She wouldn’t even get to say goodbye to Keith, George, Damian, Paul, Ryan, and Sharon. The thought made her silently scream in her head, calling herself a horrible idiot for going out that morning. Her crying abruptly came to a stop when she heard footsteps approaching the room. A muscular red-haired man with narrow eyes flung the door open and was holding a camcorder. “Say hello, Ms. Moore.” Chloe realized the camcorder was taping and she knew this would probably be seen by Keith and the guys, so she tried her best to look positive, but it didn’t actually work. The tears wouldn’t stop streaming down her face. “Her life is now fully dependent upon your cooperation. Celtic Thunder is one of the richest Irish-based productions, so we know you will have no trouble getting us what we want. Deliver the money and the goods within the next forty-eight hours, or else…” The man pulled out a shotgun and put it to Chloe’s head, making her squirm and yelp, “she dies. See it through, gentlemen. Much thanks to you especially, Keith Harkin. I’m sure this is so hard for you, giving up your fiancée for our purposes. Next time, watch her more carefully.” The mystery man shut off the camera and bent down to face Chloe straight in the eyes. “You’d better pray very hard, Ms. Moore, for your friends’ cooperation, or else your diminutive life will end quickly. Not at my hands, though, but rather theirs, since I warned them.” With that said, the man stood up and slammed the door in Chloe’s face. Chloe could do nothing but cry, pray, and sleep until either this situation, or her life, ended. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's more for all of you who are hanging on the edge of curiosity!! Enjoy, everyone!! ;D --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- While Keith was in this state of mind, all the guys stayed overnight with him. Around 9 PM, while the guys were trying to cheer up Keith by playing a game of cards, Keith got a call from the police department. “What?! You have…you have a video of her? Made by who?!” Keith’s rage against Chloe’s kidnapper grew every second, and he was almost ready to burst with anger. “We’ll be down there as quickly as possible.” Keith hung up and sharply grabbed his jacket and unlocked the front door. “Keith!” Ryan jumped up at once, running towards Keith and pulling him back by the arm. “Care to tell the rest of us where you’re going?” Keith gave Ryan a blank stare, “Ry, didn’t you hear me on the phone? You all grab your jackets because the police found a video tape dropped outside their headquarters and it has footage of Chloe recorded on it.” “That’s great, Keith!” Keith glanced down and Ryan saw a tear trickled down Keith’s face and onto the floor, “Actually, it’s a rather distressing, threatening video of her.” Ryan’s smile faded and he put his hand on Keith back. “Guys! Hurry up, let’s get moving!” He and Keith walked out the door and they all got into Ryan’s car. No one said a word while on their way to the police station. They walked in with solemn faces, expecting the worst. “Where’s Lieutenant Brennan?” Keith asked the women at the front desk. She escorted the men upstairs where there were rows of cubicles and desks. She led them to an office walled behind glass, “Here you are.” Keith thanked her curtly. Lieutenant Brennan looked up at Keith and his friends, “Ah, welcome Mr. Harkin. I know you must be anxious to see this, and rest assured I have my best officers working on this case. Have a seat, all of you.” They all sat down on the two sofas in Brennan’s office. He flipped on the television and began the tape. All of them gasped and cried when the saw the man place a gun to Chloe’s head. Her expression was terrified, helpless, and desperate. At the very end of the video clip, an officer working on Chloe’s case rushed through the door with a look of smug accomplishment. “Lieutenant Brennan!” The man began, practically breathless. “We’ve identified Chloe Moore’s kidnapper.” Everyone perked up with dire curiosity, “Who, Officer Burke?” “He’s a wanted American criminal, Carlisle Conner. He’s an American Navy lieutenant who was dismissed from his duties due to matters of misconduct.” Lieutenant Brennan contemplated the news his officer told him, “Do the Americans want to take part in this case?” “Yes, sir.” “Let them, then, since Ms. Chloe Moore has recently moved from Los Angeles. It would be very helpful for this particular situation.” “I’ll notify them immediately, sir.” The lieutenant turned back to his guests after Officer Burke left his office, “Go home and get some rest now. Chloe’s case, if it keeps going like this, will be solved by tomorrow evening.” He smiled at all of them, and finally hope had returned to their hurting hearts. Chloe had no idea what time it was, but she did know she was in this depressing closet for longer than she could handle. Her captors had un-gagged her mouth to give her a drink and food, but still kept her clustered up in the little storeroom. Her mind could only think about Keith and how hurt he must be at the moment. She only had forty-eight hours to live, and she wasn’t sure how many she had left. Her oxygen supply was running low, and all her crying was stifling her breathing. She wasn’t sure if she’d make it a full two days locked up like this. Then she heard one of her kidnappers begin to scream and yell at someone. After a moment or two, Carlisle stomped over to Chloe’s closet and, as usual, hurled the door open. He was holding a cell phone in his left hand, thrusting it towards Chloe, “Speak!” He commanded her, but all she could do was mumble since she was still gagged. With one hard tug, he pulled it off Chloe mouth and she cried out in pain, but she calmed when she heard Keith’s voice over the phone asking Carlisle what he did to Chloe. “Keith, sweetheart! It’s you! Oh, I..I miss you so much, Keith!” She began to sob, “I wish I could see you, at least one more time.” Keith clung to the phone and shut his eyes tightly, “Chloe, love!!! I’ve missed you every second of each day. You’ve been running through my head all the time, sweetheart!!! Are you okay? What is he doing to you?! Is he hurting you?!” “I’m okay for the most part, Keith. Don’t worry too much about me, darling. I know this’ll all work out for the best, and that I’ll be back in your arms soon.” A tear rolled down Keith’s cheek, “I know, Chlo. We’ll be together again soon. I wish I could save you myself, Chlo.” Chloe faintly smiled, “You are saving me, Keith, right now, at this very moment. You’re love and your voice is my ultimate saviors.” Keith smiled, something his friends hadn’t seen in a long time. “Chlo, hang on, you’ll be out of there soon. I love you with my whole heart, forever and always honey.” “I love you too, Keith.” But before she could say anything else, Carlisle put the phone to his ear and reminded Keith of his deadline, “Twenty-four more hours and she’ll be gone for eternity, Mr. Harkin. I suggest you step lightly and quickly in your decisions.” He snapped the phone shut and locked the closet door once more. “You’d better be praying for life, Ms. Moore.” Thankfully, Carlisle had forgotten to gag her mouth again, but she didn’t answer him for fear of him coming back to gag her. She had a bit more hope now after speaking with Keith, and she truly did believe that her prayers of getting out alive would be answered. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------this will be my last latest post until about Thursday or Friday, so sit tight and I really hope I don't keep you all in too much suspense.

Apparently, I had more time to finish than I thought..since y'all are such sweethearts, here's the remainder of the story + the epilogue. Enjoy, everyone!!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keith was pacing up and down the hallways of his home, while Paul, Ryan, Damian, and George watched him hopelessly. They didn’t know what else to say to Keith. His anxiety was like a roller-coaster, and his rage rendered him a ticking time bomb. They weren’t sure how to get through to him. Paul walked up to Keith and grabbed him by the shoulders, “Keith, you NEED to relax. You look like you’re slowly descending into insanity and, frankly, you’re scaring all of us. Chloe will be alright. We’ve already come up with the hundred-grand Conner demanded of us, and Ryan and I pulled a few strings to get the jewels. If all else fails, which it won’t, we have excellent back up.” Keith took in a deep breath and smiled up at Paul, “Thanks for snapping me back into sanity, Paul. At least I can count on you all to hold me together.” Paul gave Keith a friendly, reassuring hug and pat on the arm. The rest joined in a big group hug and Ryan ruffled Keith’s hair, happy to see Keith slightly chuckle. The guys tried their best to occupy Keith and keep his stress down. They took him practically everywhere they could: the pub, surfing, nature walking, even shopping. They spent the whole day out and about, finally reaching back to Keith’s home at 8 PM. The trouble started up again when Keith realized how many hours Chloe had left. He quickly speed-dialed the police station and spoke with Lieutenant Brennan. From what Keith gathered, they didn’t get far enough to rescue Chloe as yet, which made Keith even more furious. He begged and pleaded, trying to persuade the lieutenant into permitting them the ability to give Carlisle Conner what he asked for, but Lieutenant Brennan wouldn’t hear of it. Keith couldn’t take it anymore, so he slammed his cell phone shut and took a seat on the sofa. After a moment of contemplating, Keith had a more than stunning epiphany. His eyes widened and he dropped his cell phone to the ground, “I knew it.” Keith whispered. Ryan thought he heard him say something, “What was that, Keith?” He grabbed Ryan’s hand, “I know who Carlisle Conner is and where he’s keeping Chloe, Ry!!!” The others gathered speedily around Keith, and Ryan shook his head in disbelief, “H-hh-ow Keith?” “I knew his name sounded familiar! While Chloe and I were strolling around the docks one day, we met up with him. He was my old friend from grade school who moved away to America with his uncle and aunt when he was sixteen years old. He was asking me a lot of questions about Chloe, and I thought it was just because he never saw me romantically involved with a girl before, but now I see his real reason. He and I used to have this ‘hideout’ in a closed up apartment complex that only he and I knew about. He was planning ways to threaten money out of Celtic Thunder. Come on, guys. We need to get down to the station asap!” Keith couldn’t have rushed out the door quicker, and the guys were right on his heels. They sped down the streets at what seemed like lightning speed, and ran through the glass doors of the police station. Keith didn’t bother to approach the woman at the front desk, and she called him out for it but he didn’t care. The other guys kept following at Keith’s heels. Keith entered Lieutenant Brennan’s office and looked at him fixedly, “I have valuable information on Carlisle Conner and where he may possibly be staying.” Lieutenant Brennan was shocked and cleared his throat, “Tell me everything you know, then, Mr. Harkin.” Keith told him how he knew Carlisle and the details about when he last saw him. Straight away, Brennan dialed his head officer and quickly gave him the run down. He prepared to set out and infiltrate the place Keith told him about. Before he could walk out his office door though, Keith grabbed his arm. “I need to come with you, Lieutenant Brennan.” The lieutenant smiled at him, “Well then men, come along! Make haste.” They all grinned and hurried out the doors of the police station. Keith keenly followed the group of police vehicles. They reached the potential crime scene, parked, and waited about half a mile away from the actual building. Damian and Ryan put their hands on Keith’s shoulders, “There’s always hope, Keith, even during the darkest of times.” “Thank you all. Because of your support, I kept a glimpse of faith in my heart.” They sat on the edge of their seats as they waited to see whether or not this was the right crime scene. Keith’s heart skipped beats when he saw the faint, beautiful figure of Chloe come out of the building, holding onto an officer’s arm. Keith jumped out the car and slammed the door, running at the speed of light to reunite with the well-missed love of his life. Ryan, Paul, Damian, and George began running to Chloe too, but could not try hard enough to keep up with Keith, which made them burst out into hysterical laughter while they ran to meet with Chloe. Chloe saw Keith running towards her, and she began running towards him, “Keith!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Keith smiled from ear to ear when he saw Chloe running to him. They met in the middle of the street. Keith grabbed her up in his arms and held her tightly, never ever wanting to let her go. Chloe wrapped her arms around his neck and squeeze him tightly and lovingly. “You have no idea how much I missed you, Chlo, love.” “I was sure I’d never see you anymore, Keith! I missed you every moment I was away from you.” She looked deeply into his sparkling blue eyes, touched his face, and smiled contentedly at him. He returned the smile, leaning in towards Chloe, making her heart race. He kissed her affectionately, something she hadn’t felt in a long time, and certainly missed. Surprisingly, it had begun to rain and thunder loudly, but the storm could no longer shatter Chloe’s joy and hopes. No matter how many lightning storms would come her way, Chloe could face them with a smile. There she was, in the rain, in the arms of the man she loves so dearly, and the man who dearly requited her love for him. Keith Harkin was the angel God sent to Chloe as an answer to all her distressed prayers. She was no longer beautifully broken, but rather beautifully blessed. As they made their way back home, Keith and Chloe never untwined their hands for a moment. “You know,” Damian teased the adorable couple, “You all have to be reasonable and let go at some point in time.” They both simultaneously gave him a sideways glance, and George put his hand on Damian’s shoulder, pulling his back toward the seat, “Damian, my boy, there are some things you don’t yet understand about love. Give it time, lad, give it time.” Everyone in the car laughed heartily, including Damian. When they arrived at Keith’s home, Sharon came bursting out the door in tears of pure joy, “Oh, dear dear dear!!! You’re safe!!! We have all been worried sick, child!!!” She hugged Chloe, stroking Chloe’s lovely blonde hair with her hand. Then, she looked at Chloe sternly and scolded, “Never leave anywhere without telling someone Chloe, do you understand me?” “Yes, Sharon. It won’t happen again.” Sharon pulled Chloe into her arms again, “Oh, darling, it had better not or else I will most definitely suffer from a heart attack!” Chloe laughed and softly kissed Sharon’s cheek. Keith continually smiled down at Chloe, holding out his arm to her. She winked at him and took it, gracefully making her way into the house with her beloved Keith at her side. “Are you hungry, sweet pea?” Chloe giggled, “Hmmm, you know, yes I am. But, I’ll gladly be the one to whip up something for all of us.” Keith chuckled and let her run off to the kitchen. The rest of the guys and Sharon also walked into the kitchen area, taking seats in the living room and chatting. “Well Keith,” Paul perked up in a cheery voice, “you can thank us now.” Paul put on a smug face. Keith laughed, “Oh? For…?” Paul looked at him as if he were an idiot, “For helping you keep your sanity, loverboy!” Keith belted out laughing, “Oh..yeah. Thanks everyone…and Paul. You all were there every minute for me, and I can never repay you enough for that.” “You can try, at least.” Damian added. Both Paul and Ryan smacked him concurrently. Damian rubbed the back of his head and laughed nervously, “Yeah…I deserved that.” The evening was one filled with laughs and reunited love. When everyone finished dinner, they gathered together in the family room to play a game of charades, and, knowing the guys, it was the most fun any of them had in years. But ultimately, Keith and Chloe were the happiest couple of all because they were safely back in each other’s arms. The world couldn’t be more perfect for these two. Keith kissed Chloe tenderly as a reminder that his heart would forever belong to her, happily knowing that he healed Chloe’s beautifully broken heart. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EPILOUGE: “Keith, when will you let me open my eyes?” Keith was leading Chloe by the hand to an unknown location, smiling eagerly at her impatience. “Okay, open your eyes Chlo!” Chloe looked around without delay and gasped in awe. “Keith…..it’s so….dazzling!!!” Chloe couldn’t believe it. Keith had secretly taken charge of decorating the meadow where their wedding would be taking place tomorrow. “You really do love it, don’t you honey?” Keith winked down at his lovely soon-to-be bride. She blushed a pretty pink color, “That’s a definite understatement, Keith.” The couple explored the wedding area, and when they reached the reception area, Keith twirled Chloe around the cleared out dance floor. They lied in the field of flowers together, gazing at the stars until Chloe’s mother, Anne, called Chloe’s cell phone, gently insisting they came back home and got some rest before their big day. Chloe’s immediate family had come to Ireland for her wedding, and she was so happy she was able to introduce them to the love of her life and her gorgeous new homeland. Her family quickly grew to love the Harkins, which was a great relief for both the bride and groom. Keith and Chloe made their way back to their home, “Good night, my love.” Keith pulled Chloe into his arms and gave her a loving kiss. She stared at her beyond handsome groom with a soft smile, “I love you. I know this sounds weird, but I’m glad I got to you before any of your crazy and devoted fan girls did.” Keith gave her a confused look, “I thought you don’t get jealous?” He teased. “A woman always get jealous Keith,” Chloe laughed an grinned sinisterly, “you just have to pray that you never see her unleash it.” Keith faked a scared face, cringing down slowly to the ground in a cowardly position. Chloe jovially laughed and kissed the top of Keith’s flawless blonde hair, “Good night, darling! Love you forever!” “Love you more!” Chloe stopped in her tracks, turning around and opening the door of her room, “I love you more!” “My love for you is as big as the sky!” Chloe blinked rapidly, dumbfounded. Keith broke out in uproarious laughter as he shut his room door, “Don’t hurt yourself, sweetheart! Night!” Chloe changed into her pajamas, but could barely contain her excitement. By this time tomorrow, she’ll be on her honeymoon with Keith, and would no longer be Ms. Moore, but Mrs. Harkin. She sighed with contentment when she contemplated how perfect it sounded, being known as Mrs. Harkin, wife of the oh-so-famously adored Keith Harkin. She jumped in circles on her bed, giggling and squealing with delight. When her nerves finally calmed, Chloe drifted off to sleep and dreamed of her and Keith together on their island. The next morning, Chloe’s two visiting friends, Samantha and Clarissa, tiptoed into Chloe’s room, “Wake up, sleeping beauty!” Samantha shouted as she smacked her friend with a pillow, “Today’s your big day, angel!” Clarissa chimed in. She kissed Chloe’s forehead and lightly shook her. Chloe groaned and buried her face in the pillow. “I have crazy friends.” She mumbled to herself. “I couldn’t agree with you more, Chlo.” Samantha added with a giggle. “Let’s go, girly! The wedding starts in three hours!” Chloe craned her neck upwards with a jolt, “THREE HOURS?!!” She jumped off the bed and sped into the bathroom, “You all help yourself to breakfast in the fridge! I’ll be out in ten minutes tops!” Samantha plopped onto the bed next to Clarissa, “And she thinks WE’RE the crazy ones, Claire.” Claire laughed and grabbed onto Samantha’s hand, “C’mon Sam, we’d better fix our little bride some breakfast before she stresses herself out.” The two frolicked down the huge staircase and into the kitchen. They whipped up some quick pancakes and finished just in time. Chloe was running down the steps as they were pouring syrup. “Did I take too long?” Chloe asked her friends breathlessly. Sam looked up at Chloe and shook her head, “You took exactly ten minutes, Chlo. Now, sit down and eat before you faint.” She chortled and took a seat at the small breakfast nook in the corner of the kitchen. The girls said grace and hurriedly stuffed their mouths. “That was so ladylike,” Clarissa said sarcastically. They grabbed their bags and Chloe’s wedding dress, packed up Chloe’s Volvo, and rushed down to the designated wedding area. Two large white tents were set up, one for the reception and with a thick curtain around it, which was the dressing area for Chloe. Sam, Claire, and Chloe all made haste towards the second tent, meeting up with Chloe’s mom. “Oh, thank goodness you’re here darling!” Anne was standing next to Sharon, who was going to do Chloe’s hair and makeup for her. They both gave Chloe quick hugs and hurried her off to prepare her for her walk down the aisle. After she was prettied up and dressed in her gown, Anne, Claire, Sam, and Sharon gazed at Chloe’s heavenly and radiating beauty in admiration, and in a bit of jealousy, too. “You’re more than stunning, Chlo.” Sam blurted out. “You’re truly a princess, dear.” Claire remarked, handing Chloe her flowers and helping her up off the chair. She blushed and looked down at her polished toes. “It’s all because of you all. I don’t know what I would do without you girls, and I mean that.” They all group hugged and let go when one of Chloe’s uncles peeked into the tent to warn them that Chloe had five minutes till her wedding march. Claire and Sam ran to get their bouquets and, with final hugs, hassled out the tent to position themselves for the wedding march. Sharon quietly kissed Chloe’s hand and winked at her before she took her seat amongst the audience. Anne’s eyes welled up with glistening tears as she straightened her daughter’s tiara and veil, helping her walk out the back of the tent to join Anne’s husband, David, in the line. With one final kiss on the cheek, Anne left her daughter’s side and sat down next to Keith’s mother. Both moms clasped hands nervously as they awaited the beginning of the wedding. David looked down at his daughter, affection overwhelming his eyes, “I always dreaded this day coming, darling, and now it’s even harder seeing you, my beloved and beautiful daughter, standing at my side waiting for me to walk her down the aisle. I could have never prayed for a better husband that Keith for you, sweetheart. I give you and Keith every blessing a protective father can bestow up his gentle princess.” Chloe, in no time, felt a tear running down her balmy cheeks. David closely embraced his daughter, “I love you now and always, Chloe darling.” “And you’ll always hold a special place in my heart, daddy.” They let go when they heard the music begin to play. Chloe held on tightly to her father’s arm as she took one shy glance at Keith, who was standing at the front looking like the most handsome mortal man Chloe ever laid eyes on. He never failed to take her breath away, and vice versa. When she glanced up at him, he was looking directly at her, still amazed that such a glittering angel fell in love with him. The wedding was, as the Irish would say, loads and loads of great craic. Chloe danced with all the lads of Celtic Thunder, each one of them personally singing a live song while they danced with Chloe. Keith was a bit jealous when Paul put on his “swanky tenor” character in front of Chloe, but he shook it off knowing that soul mates never let their hearts wander. Chloe was finally able to meet Keith’s sister and Keith was thrilled to meet Chloe’s little eleven-year-old sister, who was apparently a HUGE thunderhead. The reception ended with a toast to an everlasting love and marriage between Keith and Chloe. When they we’re finally alone together, Keith and Chloe just couldn’t let go of each other, nor let each other out of their sight. They guessed it was a newlywed thing, and frankly, they didn’t mind it at all. “I missed you at my wedding, where were you the whole time?” Chloe teased, pointing out the fact that she barely saw Keith, her groom, at THEIR wedding. He laughed heartily and lifted Chloe at the waist and placed her into the boat, “I was giving you a tiny vacation from me, since we’ll be alone together for a full seven days.” “But I didn’t like it!” She gave him a quick kiss and he ran off the snatch the rest of the luggage. When the boat was fully packed and set to sail, Keith kneeled next to Chloe and they sped off. He wrapped his arm securely around Chloe, and she closed her eyes while she rested her head on Keith’s shoulder. Now Chloe finally understood how love actually felt. Blissful, never longing for more, restful, filled with laughs, filled with support through all the rough times, and, above all, something that actually heals instead of hurts. In a matter of minutes, Keith and Chloe reached the lofty yet dreamy and composed shores of their own personal island. They hopped out of the boat and promptly placed their bags inside the grand beach house, laughing all the way. When everything was situated indoors, Chloe ran out the house and onto the beautiful moonlit beach with Keith chasing after her. The couple giggled like schoolchildren playing a game of tag. Chloe waited till Keith got close enough, “Got you!” She burst out into an uncontrollable fit of giggles once more, proud that she soaked Keith with one big splash. Keith shook his hair and smiled at Chloe mischievously, and before they knew it, they were wading in the water having a splashing contest. They were finally tired out, and Keith decided to pick up Chloe in his arms and spin her around in the water, which made her squeal with laughter. Keith simply smiled sweetly down at his new bride, indulging in her contagious laughter. The couple made their way back to the shoreline and lied next to one another on the damp white sand. “This was the most perfect day of my life, Keith, all because of my divine guardian angel.” She rested her head on Keith’s chest and gave him a gleaming smile. “I’m so blessed to have God supply me with an angel for a bride, and a soul mate. It’s as if my heart was missing its other half until you came along.” “And you’ll always have that missing half, forever and always Keith.” Keith began stroking Chloe’s wet blonde hair smoothly, mellifluously singing “The Island” to Chloe, and the most exquisite couple the world ever witnessed kissed once more into the rest of the night, beginning their life long journey as Celtic Prince Charming and his angelic Cinderella.
