One day I was walking down the street listening to the new iPod Touch that I got for my birthday from my aunt. Another birthday present that I got was two tickets to Celtic Thunder!!! Well, it was actually an IOU for tickets to see them. They didn’t come to Colorado until November or December, but I really didn’t care because I was going to see them in concert for the first time since we, me and Dakota, had heard about them. Dakota had gone to see them all time they came to Colorado, and she was going to tell me all the ways she prepares to go and see them. I was so happy, that I had to go for a run, so I could calm down. For this birthday, my dad had surprised me with plane tickets, but he wouldn’t tell me where. Little did I know, they were to go to Derry, Ireland!! This was turning out to be the best birthday that I have ever had!
So, back to the run I was going on. I was actually walking and had Standing on the Corner, which Damian sang, blasting so I was vaguely aware of my surrounding. I was singing along with Damian, and at this point I was looking down at my feet so I wouldn’t get teased for singing along, when I ran into something or someone, and fell down. I grasped my iPod so it would break, and hit my head on the cement, which hurt. I felt like I was gonna black out or something, but I felt someone’s hand on mine helping me up. I was gonna tell them to leave me alone when I saw who it was. At first, I thought I had hit my head so hard that I was hallucinating, but when I inhaled, I knew this was real. I couldn’t believe it…Ryan Kelly was helping me up, with Damian right behind him, calling someone. My best guess was 911.
When I heard his voice, I almost fell down again.
“Are you ok, miss,” he said in his dreamy voice, which I melted inside.
“I-I-I think s-s-s-s-o. Am I dreaming or am I really talking to Ryan Kelly and seeing Damian McGinty? Please say that I am dreaming, person who looks like Ryan.” I sounded like an idiot when I said this.
“No, miss, you’re not dreaming. You are seeing myself and Mr. Kelly. Are you okay? You took quite a spill there. I called 911, where they had some trouble understanding, and they are sending an ambulance”, Damian said. I almost fainted in Ryan’s arms, which were holding me up because I couldn’t stand on my own, because of his wonderful, low voice.
“I feel kinda light-headed…” I mumbled, but I could tell Ryan heard because his grip on my tightened.
“The ambulance should be here soon, I can hear them coming.” Damian muttered.
The ambulance finally got there, but Ryan didn’t let me go until I was safely on the gurney. I quietly whimpered when he let me go. He heard that and smiled, then went to go and tell Damian something. My best guess was that he was going to go tell Damian about what I just did. I turned a shade of pink just thinking about how Damian might act when he heard this. But, what made me go redder was how I actually am alive and that THE Ryan Kelly just had his arm around my waist!
The paramedics looked me over and decided that I was fine but they wanted me to keep ice on the huge bump that was on my head, and to take ibuprofen for the pain, if there was any.
“Are you sure your ok, Jordan? You look kinda pail…” Damian asked my sweetly.
“How do you know my name?” I said with a bit of fright in my voice.
“Well, your sister, Dakota, sent me a letter a couple years ago and she mentioned you. She also included a picture of both of you wearing your CT Thunder pub tee-shirts, and I recognized your face from that same picture.”
“Oh, she did mention sending a letter, but not the picture…”
“Well, maybe she didn’t tell you about the picture because she thought you would make her take it out so we wouldn’t know what you look like.”
“That’s only partly true! Well, ok fine. It’s all true.”
“I could tell that from when I first said your name.”
“Oh, really? You’re like an expression reader now? I thought that you were the young heartthrob from that one group. Oh, what’s it called again? I remember, because it’s my favorite group ever, CELTIC THUNDER!!!!!”
Ryan jumped in after I said that he sounded amused as he spoke, “So, Celtic Thunder is your favorite group? What about that Bieber kid that all the girls go crazy for?”
“Ok, it’s a tie. But I don’t have all the songs that he has ever sung on my iPod like with you guys. I have a playlist for every CD! Does that show that I like you guys over Justin Bieber? If it doesn’t, then you must be crazy or something, boy.”
“So what if I’m partly crazy? That doesn’t make a difference. I’m still your favorite person from Celtic Thunder, right?”
“How do you know that? Don’t tell me, Dakota’s letter?”
“It's like you read my mind!”`
“I know right?”
Damian butted in at that point, and he sounded kind of offended. “I thought that I was your favorite member of CT! Or maybe that was Dakota…”
“Well, you one of the top 5 Damo!” I giggled sweetly. “My list goes Ryan, you, Keith, Paul, and then George. Keith is just so DREAMY!!!!”
“I think I might tell him that the next time that I see him. Do you mind if I do tell him?”
“Of course I mind! I don’t even know why that came out of my mouth! Please don’t tell Keithers, please! That is something very private.”
“Ok, if it upsets you, you have my promise that I won’t tell him”
“Thanks, Damian. You’re the best friend that a girl could ever have!”
“Since when are we friends? Just kidding!”, he giggled innocently, “Of course were friends! From everything that Dakota has told me, I feel like we have known each other FOREVER!”
“Oh really? Since when have you known so much about me? Wait, since Dakota write the letter…duh”
