*This story is a story inspired by the song These last few days by Lee Brice, Enchanted by Taylor swift and Guinevere by the Eli Young Band. And just as a disclaimer, I've not done too much research on Emmet or his family etc so I apologize in advance for any inaccuracies. Please enjoy.*

Emmet sighed as he stepped into the hustle and bustle of the airport. 'At least the cruise will be sunny and warm.' He thought to himself as he set about checking in for his flight to Miami Florida. He had just gotten comfortable back at home after the Mythology tour, and two months later it was back to work. Not that he minded much. He truly loved what he did, he just missed down time. He checked in, went through security and awaited his flight. Soon he was of course joined by his mates Colm, Neil, Ryan, Rebecca and Keith. George of course would meet them there. The flight was long but Emmet managed to get some sleep even with Colm and Rebecca playing a loud game of GO FISH right next to his ear. When they landed they were driven to their hotel they would be staying in for two days until the cruise, just enough time to get over jet lag and look good for the fans. He got into the room, quickly showered the airport smell off of himself and climbed into bed. He awoke almost 20 hours later. He had been so tired he slept a whole day away. He wandered down to get breakfast, and as he ate, the others slowly made their way to get food as well...seems he was not the only one that jet lag smacked in the face. As they ate and talked Emmet and Colm teased Rebecca like always. "Hey Bex, are you sure you'll be okay with all those girls all over us?" Colm laughed. "They can have you both, for all I care. You two are such a pain and I just wanna get some sun." She retorted back obviously annoyed at the two. 'KEITH! Your friends are being mean!" She shouted at her brother. "Guys, be nice to baby Rebecca, you know how fragile girlies are." He joked as he stuck his tongue out at his sister. "Don't you care?" She jeered. "Nope. You're a big girl. As long as it's all in good fun, I'm gonna go sit in the corner and sleep a bit more." "Good idea mate. Tomorrow you'll be meeting about 4,000 people at once. Get your rest now." Neil laughed at his friend who pulled his hat over his face. They all laughed. "He's such a bum." Ryan said shaking his head at him. They all finished eating and set about preparing for the week ahead.

Emily got up early that day...about 5AM. She was so excited. A cruise! She'd never been on one, never been out of the country before, and most of all never seen a Celtic Thunder show live before. She'd had herself packed about three months in advance. November was such a dreadful month, it was bitter cold, windy, rainy, snowy and yucky in Ohio. So Emily was just glad to go some place warm for awhile. It had been about three years since she'd had a vacation. So she was ready to escape. "Sometimes at times like this, I wish I had friends to share vacations with." She said to herself. She got her suitcase by the front door and made coffee. Just as she sat down her cousin knocked on her door. She was Emily's neighbor....Alex loved Keith, but she owned a performing arts studio and couldn't afford time off to go on the cruise. She was taking Emily to the airport and while she was away she would watch Emily's dog Roger. "Hey girl hey!" Alex said in a silly voice. "Hey girl hey!" Emily said right back in the same tone. It was a thing they made up when they were kids. "Got coffee ready." "Great!" Alex grabbed a cup and almost chugged it. "Morning's aren't your thing still, huh?" Emily laughed. "Nope." Alex breathed. "I hate having to go alone. It's kinda scary." Emily said. "Well, if I had the money and time, you know I'd be going." "I know." "You'll be fine. Let's go. Gotta catch your flight." They set out the door to the airport.
Six hours later Emily was gathering her bag at baggage claim, and turned to find the shuttle to take her to the pier. About an hour later the shuttle pulled up to the pier and let the passengers out. Alex was right, she'll be fine. She made friends with a lovely woman who was on vacation with her husband and two young boys. She decided she'd stick close to them since her mom had told her 'if at all possible, stay close to family groups.' Emily's mom was worried she was going to get thrown overboard. Her mom was one of those paranoid people. As they waited to check in, she noticed not a single person was talking to each other, they were all on their phones or some electric device. She hated people because of that. Some days Emily wished she had been born into the 1950's, people were nicer and more interesting and invested in each others lives back then. Just as she was grumbling to herself, one of the little kids started having a meltdown in front of her. The woman who she had made acquaintances with on the shuttle was failing to calm the little boy. Emily remembered that when she used to watch her little cousin, whenever he would cry she would sing to him. She began to softly sing Taylor Swift's song Never Grow Up. The little boy soon began to calm down, Emily was so enthralled in the song she was unaware that several people had started listening. When she had finished singing, she opened her eyes as about fifty people started to applaud her. She immediately blushed. She didn't think she was that good, and she hated performing for groups. She was truly shy in front of large gatherings. As people started to turn away she noticed how now many other people were talking to each other. She thought to herself, 'Music does bring people together.' And that made her smile.

It was nice and sunny, and everyone was heading down to the deck to greet fans and take pictures, sign autographs, etc. Colm and Rebecca were a bit more chipper than Emmet, he'd been sharing a room with Keith, and Keith was messy. Emmet hated that about the guy. The four of them were always together it seemed. All in their twenties...kinda. Keith was getting to the point where he'd be a bit too old for hanging out and acting like he was a frat boy soon. But, they all got along and enjoyed being the kids of the group. Colm, the newbie, Emmet, the baby, Rebecca, the girl, and Keith, the perpetual college kid. As the were greeting fans, taking pictures, signing autographs he'd been just going through the motions like clockwork. Keith was being fawned over excessively and he always loved every second of it. It fed his ego. Emmet always was pretty much passed over because most of the fans were older women and they all saw him as a child, he and Colm got that a lot. But Colm still was the newbie so he got a lot of attention because the fans wanted to know who he was. Emmet was quite withdrawn and shy anyway so he didn't mind too much, it did sometimes hurt his ego that nobody noticed him but he was used to it.
As Emily made her way to the front of the line, she was getting nervous. She'd never met a celebrity, let alone six at once. Keith was first to spot her. "Well hello there." He said in a flirty tone. "Hi." She said, her voice shaking a bit. "What's your name, lass?" George said. "Emily." She responded. "Care for a picture?" Ryan said. "I would care for one yes." She smiled a little less scared. They gathered around her, Colm on one side and Emmet on the other and took the picture. They autographed it and moved on to the next fan. As Emily took her picture and walked to sit down, Emmet looked after her. "She's beautiful." He accidentally said aloud. "OOH!!! Emmet, gotta crush already?" Rebecca teased. "Shut up Bex." He sighed. Knowing she'd never let it go all week. She was notorious for being a match maker and a nosy Nellie. Never minding her own business. Rebecca looked back at the girl Emmet had took a shine to. 'She is pretty.' She thought to herself. 'And, oh....she's alone it looks like.' Rebecca's wheels started turning as she thought of a scheme. As the meet and greets were wrapping up, Emily was still sitting in the same spot people watching. She had been so distracted that she didn't notice Rebecca come and stand next to her. "Hello there." Rebecca said. "Oh. OH! Hi." Emily jumped as she realized who was talking to her. "May I sit?" Rebecca gestured. "Be my guest. It'd be nice to have a bit of company." Emily laughed nervously. Rebecca sat down and the two began talking, they were just like old friends. They had a lot in common. And before they knew it, two hours had passed and it was almost dinner time. "Since you're not with a group, would you like to sit with me and my friends at dinner? It'd be nice not to be the only girl at the table." Rebecca said. "You think that'd be okay?" Emily was shocked. "Absolutely." "Okay. I'd be glad to do that." She said. 'Imagine...me....eating dinner with celebrities...haha.' She thought to herself.
