"Mary, Mary, where are you going?" her mother asked? To the newest jazz bar, she thought. "Out with friends?" she lied. Her family, or mostly her mother, didn't approve of music or musicians, unless it was at the local church. According to her mother, any other music and the people that sang the songs that were becoming popular, were the work of the devil, and she spent much of her time preaching that to Mary. Mary left the house, without her mother seeing the dress she was wearing. It was a pretty, red dress, with a slit coming up almost to the hip. It was the style now, and she knew that she would never hear the end of it, if her mother caught her.
Ryan, was getting ready for his up coming show. He was playing in the new jazz bar that just opened. According to everyone that worked there, they were supposed to be packed. Ryan, to say the least was nervous. A packed jazz bar. Now, he was starting to wonder if he could back out. Unfortunatly, before he could make a break for it, the doors opened, and people started piling into the bar. The music started, and the first song was, moondance.
Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I'm trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
And all the night's magic seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush
Can I just have one a' more moondance with you, my love
Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love
Well I wanna make love to you tonight
I can't wait till the morning has come
And I know now the time is just right
And straight into my arms you will run
And when you come my heart will be waiting
To make sure that you're never alone
There and then all my dreams will come true, dear
There and then I will make you my own
And everytime I touch you, you just tremble inside
And I know how much you want me that you can't hide
Can I just have one a' more moondance with you, my love
Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love
Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I'm trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
And all the night's magic seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush
One more moondance with you in the moonlight
Can't I just have one more dance with you my love
Mary, loved the song, that the man up on the stage was singing. She couldn't take her eyes off of him. He had black hair, and eyes that seemed to change color in the light of the stage. His voice, was stunning. Then before she realized it, the man that she had been watching, so intently, was standing right in front of her, singing to her, and asking if she would dance with him. Mary, couldn't believe it. She said yes, and they danced to the rest of the song. And through all the rest of the songs. And before Mary knew it, it was time for her to head home, so she wouldn't get in trouble for being out to late. "I'm sorry, I have to go", she told the man that was before her. "Wait, what's your name? Will I see you again", he asked her? I don't know, was all she responded with.
