Ummm. The Prince and The Thief will be updated as soon as I stop having ideas for other things.
Anywho, here's some more alternate-universe goodness for you all. Along with some more little!Paul, and a bonus little!Ryan.
----------
Ryan always thought that that Paul kid was a little weird.
He didn't play with the other kids. He didn't talk the same as the other kids, either. And when Mrs. Browne asked the class what their favourite colours were, Paul answered "blue". Ryan had rolled his eyes, and told the other boy that "blue" wasn't a real colour, and to stop being so stupid. He was sent to time-out for that (Ryan was unamused by this, and had argued that Paul should have been the one in time-out, but his riposte went unheard).
One day during break, Ryan had asked Paul just why he was so strange. Paul had given him a funny look, and said "I'm not," before promptly ambling away in that obnoxiously graceful manner that he did everything in.
Paul, Ryan noted, could even make circle time weird, turning it into an opportunity to show everyone just how bizarre and nonsensical his imagination was.
One of the more recent instances of this was last week, when Paul had brought to class a drawing of his that depicted what he called a "rainbow".
Ryan asked bluntly, "What on Earth is a rainbow?"
At this, Paul had explained that a rainbow was a sort of river of light that appeared in the sky after a storm, and that it was made up of all of the seven colours.
Ryan was about to correct him, and say that there were only three colours- black, white, and grey- and to, once again, stop being an idiot. However, he was interrupted by Mrs. Browne, who praised Paul for his "excellent creativity". Ryan had spent the rest of the school day sulking.
----------
Aaaand, there ya go. :I
Bonus points to whoever can figure out what this alternate-universe is.
Oh, and this should be updated a lot quicker than The Prince and The Thief, as I already have the second part of this written.
