Damo or not Damo? Find out eventually.... __________________________________________________________________________ Thanks to the lad's generosity, I was able to stay the night at a B&B near Trinity College. I took a long hot shower, a luxury I loved. I got dressed, and turned on the tele. Hmm... Rain in Macroom.... Piers Morgan.... British Royals... RTE.... Eventually, I fell asleep to the light from the tele. The next morning, I paid for my stay, and bought myself a tea straight off from a cafe. There was a crowd round someone, and I strained over the heads to see what all the fuss was about. I faintly heard the strains of a voice singing, and the name of Damian being called out, but thought nothing of it, it was proboably just another street performer. ____________________________________________________________________ sorrry its so short, all i can manage to write at the moment. i promsie i will write a longer update next time to make up for it!

Sorry that it's been so long, I apologise, I've been busy. ---------------------------------------------------------- Over the crush of people, I tried to see who this 'Damian' person was, but I couldn't see a thing. I decided to keep on going. I hadn't a clue where, but it didn't matter. I was walking along, thinking about the voice I had heard a few minutes ago.
I wasn't paying attention to what was going on around me, and I tripped over someone's foot and fell to the ground, and my fiddle case went down with me. I went to pick up my fiddle, but it was already in the hands of someone. I looked up, ready to force them to give me back my only source of money. Instead, the lad reached out a hand to me, and speaks.
'Are ye alri, lassie? Ya took a bit of a tumble, like.' said he in a thick accent.
I took his hand, and stood up. I looked him up and down, attempting to figure him out. He was tall, about 6'6, with brown wavy hair, and eyes as blue as the waters of the Atlantic. Something inside me told me to trust him.
'Thanks, for your help. Can I have my fiddle back,so?' I said.
'Aye, here ya are. Seems to me like music is important to ya, I can see it in the way you look at that instrument case.'
'Tis important, it's the one way I can stay from being another beggar.' I replied, matter-of-fact about it.
'I didn't properly introduce meself, did I? I'm Damian McGinty, and you are?'
'I'm Aisling O'Mahoney, street musician.'
'Musician? Well then, could you perhaps give us a tune?' asked Damian, with a hint of mischief.
'I will, but if you don't mind, where are you from? You don't sound like you are from around here.'
'I am from Derry City, in the North.'
'Ah, right. That explains the accent.'
'Who are you, Aisling, to be talking about accents? You sound like an American, almost.' he slagged.
'Meself? Ah, I used to think I knew who I was, but I'm not so sure anymore. How about I let my playing do the talking?'
'Sound idea.'
I took out my fiddle, and played The Irish Washerwoman, The Blackthorn Stick, and The Drunken Gauger. I let myself get caught up in the music, and went into my own little bubble. I'd completely forgotten about Damian, until I heard clapping.
'Ah, it's nothing, really, Anyone can play a few tunes.' I said, embarrassed by the attention from the good looking lad.
'That was great! I've to be off, but maybe I will see you here again tomorrow?' he hinted.
'Maybe. Or maybe I'll see your shoes, then the rest of ye!' I slagged.
'Goodbye, Aisling, it was nice meeting you.'
'Same to you, Damian. 'Till we meet again.' I said.
Damian walked away, towards the centre of the city. I watched him go, for reasons I couldn't totally explain to myself. ------------------------------------_-----_________________________________________________________________ so what do you all think? Thanks for reading, so sorry it's been so long since I last updated this!
