Ok...this is a new story that I started for my little adopted daughter Brittany.....Who LOVES Keith. Thanks for the help babysitting!!! You are a sweetheart. *hugs* Hope you like your story.
Keith didn’t see the giant wave hit him. The first indication that he was in deep trouble was the feeling of being pulled deep into the ocean. His lungs felt like they were going to burst… he needed to let go soon. He was not going to make it and had just decided it was the end when he felt small hands on his arm. Lips covered his mouth and his lungs were filled with air. Keith felt himself being pulled quickly to the surface. The sun touched his face and he sucked in the blessed air. He felt the presence beside him he turned to thank his rescuer, but no one was there. All he saw was the endless sea. Keith turned and searched around him but he sensed no one. What happened??? Where did his rescuer go???
Princess Brittany watched Keith start to swim toward shore from her hiding place behind the rock. She was glad that the man was safe. She had been watching the man surfing when she saw the giant wave hit him. Knowing he would be in trouble, she raced off to save him. Now if her mother or father found out she saved a human she would be in deep trouble. Brittany had been told many times to stay far away from humans. She was princess of the fairy kingdom, Fredonia, and the youngest of five daughters. “Humans are nasty smelly ignorant beings. We fairies are a higher beings than them; they are nothing compared to us!’ her father often told his girls. But Brittany was fascinated with this human. She watched him often whenever he came to the beach to surf. Today she watched him as he pulled himself from the surf and sat down at the edge of the water. The sun glinted off his blonde hair. He seemed to be catching his breath.
Keith looked around the beach. He felt eyes on him watching him. It wasn’t the first time. He felt a presence many times when he’d surfed this beach. But after what had just happened he now knew someone was there.
“Hellllloooo” he called out. “I know you are out there.”
Brittany peeked out. Oh no! He knew she was there??? Keith caught a glimpse of movement behind a rock. Aha! So there they were! Keith stood up and ran toward the movement. Brittany watched the man stand and walk toward her hiding place. Scared that the man had seen her, she wondered what to do. Should she disappear? Brittany quickly blinked out when Keith approached. Keith expecting to see someone was surprised when the space behind the rock was empty. Brittany popped into her bedroom. Her sister was there waiting on her.
“Where have you been its almost dinner time?” She asked.
“None of your business… I told you to stay out of my room.” Brittany told her sister Brianna.
“Were you out staring at the human again? I’m telling father about you.” She said.
“You tell him and I’ll tell him some of the things you do, like going to the surface
with your boyfriend.” Brittany replied back.
“Fine! You go look at that dirty human. See if I care.” Brianna huffed and walked out of the room. Britt sat down on her bed and remembered her day. She couldn’t believe she had been so brave to save her human. That’s what she called him in her head; her human. He was so handsome and had such a beautiful smile. And his voice! Often she had watched him sit on the beach, late at night and sing his songs when he thought no one was there. But she was…watching…listening. Brittany often dreamed of walking up to him and talking to him, but was too scared and shy. For one thing her father would kill her and for another, she was just too scared. What would she say to him? Brittany heard her sister call to her for dinner. Sighing she headed downstairs.
The eating hall was a very large room that held every fairy in Fredonia. Dinnertime was always a huge celebration. There was dancing and singing and music playing. Brittany walked into the happy chaos and up to the main table where her father, mother and sisters sat. Brittany took the end chair and watched the happy crowd. Large platters of food was brought in by servants and set down on the tables. Everyone dug in. There was laughter as everyone enjoyed their meal. After dinner, the fairies took turns getting up and singing or telling a story. Brittany always enjoyed this part of dinner. She loved listening to music. Then her sister Brianna stood.
“I would like to tell everyone a story.” She cleared her throat.
“Once there was a princess, who loved a human.” There was a collective murmur in the crowd of fairies…no one liked humans.
“The princess would go above to the human world and watch her love every day. One day, while she watched her human, she saw him almost drown in the sea. Because she LOVED him so much, she quickly popped into the sea and touched her lips to his nasty mouth….saving him from drowning.” There was a louder murmur in the crowd. Brittany looked down at her plate, her face getting red. She was going to MURDER her sister, the brat!!!!
“Brianna….sit down now. We do not care much for your story; no fairy princess would fall in love with a nasty human.” Brittany’s mother interjected.
“Oh yeah? Well Brittany did. This story is all about her. She’s the one who saved the human today.” Brianna told her mother.
A silence fell over the room. Everyone stared at Brittany like she had horns on her head. Brittany wanted to crawl under the table and die right there.
“BRITTANY!!!” Her father yelled. “Come stand before me now!”
Brittany jumped up quickly and stood before her father. Everyone in the room was silent, watching to see what would happen next.
“Is this true? Brianna’s story? Did you save a human from drowning in the sea today?” Her father asked in a loud firm voice.
Brittany’s knees felt like rubber as she shook with fear. Her father was not easily angered but when he was, the world above shook.
“Yes sir.” Brittany answered. “I saw the human drowning and saved him.”
“And why did you do this? You know we do not save humans. They are lowly creatures and too stupid to save.” Her father yelled.
“No father…they aren’t stupid or dirty…and they don’t smell either.” Brittany said.
“What? What did I just hear coming from my own daughter’s mouth?” Her father looked like he was going to explode. Brittany couldn’t believe she said that herself…she was in real trouble here.
“You like humans so much, perhaps you should go live with them awhile and see how stupid they are? From this moment on…you are stripped of all fairy powers and banished to the human world. Let’s see how much you love the humans when you have to live with them.” Her father flicked his hand and Brittany heard a slight buzzing in her ear. The next thing she knew, she was standing on top of the fairy hill, in the middle of nowhere.
