- sorry for no new post last night i had to rekindle my love for Neil and Ryan last night
I'll skip ahead of the boring stuff. I think I've posted too much boring stuff and after last night I wanna introduce my neil.
So I'd picked up the donation from Rochester Hills theater and then proceeded to my session with Ms. Anne. This time the session didn't seem as long as the first. I guess maybe it was because I knew what to expect. Apparently I had improved greatly which was great but then I was my own worst critic. I'd get the video a little earlier than before. I told Ms. Anne before I left what donations I'd recieved, I was now a member of the Irish American Club and that was gonna start using Ms. Scott's classroom during her office hours.
I arrived home earlier than I had anticipated I was glad. I was really sick of driving. I pulled into the garage because I didn't want to leave the donations in my trunk out in the open. At least if they were in the garage I would know they were safe. I'd retrieve them tomorrow but for now they would be safe locked in the garage.
Mom ordered Chinese food again, I could smell it as soon as I walked in the back door. I just loved Chinese noting beats it except pizza but it was still Saturday and pizza night was on Sunday. Everyone had already eaten but there was an egg roll and a bun along with my favorite General Tso's chicken.
I fixed a place popped it into the microwave, poured myself a glass of pop went to the hall and place my gym bag and purse in the dumb waiter so I could get it when I got up to my apartment. I grabbed my plate which was still hot so I let it rest on the counter for a few minutes. I gulped down my glass of pop making sure to fill it up before I head upstairs. Now that the plate has cooled I take it and my glass upstairs to enjoy alone. I was really tired and wanted to watch TV alone.
Not much to really watch on network television so I popped in a DVD instead. I decided to watch "Love Actually" I really loved that movie and I could use a good love story right about now. The closer to Valentines Day it get the more depressed I feel. The last guy I dated only lasted a little over a month before he dumped me to concentrate on his studies. This film just made me feel all nice and warm inside which is what I needed when I started feeling lonely.
After the movie finished I was off to bed. Tomorrow I would try to collect the rest of the donations for the auction. I only had five more movie theaters to visits but I had 6 live performance theatres to visit as well. I was just hoping I could get it all done without being call all day.
Sunday started just like Saturday did except I was visiting theaters in Oakland Country instead. My day started when I left home at 9 a.m. headed for Canton and Livonia. My first stop was the Emagine on Ford Road then it would be over to the AMC Laurel Park and then the Livonia 20. Traffic was light today which was great because I had a lot of ground to cover. The trunk of my car still contained the packages I picked up on Saturday. I didn't feel like bringing them in the house just yet.
I arrived at Emagine around 10:30 which meant they weren't technically open to the public but I'm pretty sure I could get my donation without a hassle. I was lucky because the manger wasn't busy and could assist me in putting the stuff in the trunk of my car. Now I was off to Laurel Park where I bet they just unlocked all the doors.
It didn't take long to get my package at Laurel Park which was great because the less time it took the faster I could have this whole project done without wasting a whole entire day driving around from place to place. Next it was on to the Livonia 20 theater which was just down the road. I was glad to get the assistance of the manger again because I think all the AMC theaters were trying to out do each other. This had to be the biggest box I've received from an AMC.
Now I was gonna head over to Novi before heading east to pick up packages in Farmington, Royal Oak, Birmingham, Grosse Pointe and Clinton Township plus on my way home I'd stop at Great Lakes Crossing AMC theater. I was lucky that the manger from The Purple Rose was gonna deliver their donation to the school on the 15th of February. I really didn't wanna have to travel that far just to pick up one package.
I actually stopped in at the Farmington Players in Farmington, MI before going to the Emagine in Novi. Another pair of tickets to any performance during the 2007-2008 season. I thanked the manager and went on my merry way. It didn't take long to get to Novi and to get my donation. The faster I got the donations the sooner I could get home and rest.
Only one more movie theater to get but it would have to wait until I headed for home because now I was on my way to Birmingham and Royal Oak first before heading to Grosse Pointe.
The Village Players of Birmingham was my first stop which took me less then 10 minutes which must be a record for fastest donation. Next stop The Stagecrafters at the Baldwin Theatre in Royal Oak. Again it didn't take me that long to get a hold of the manager to get the donation I was promised. Now I was headed the Grosse Pointe Theater in Grosse Pointe, MI after there I'd head to the Macomb Center in Clinton Twp then I'd end my trip at the AMC Great Lakes Crossing.
I was making pretty good time the traffic really wasn't a problem. I figured I could be home by no later than 3 p.m. I made it over to Grosse Pointe in record time making sure to watch out for police. I got my donation and then headed toward I-94 which I would take to M-59 avoiding all the traffic signals. I finally got to the Macomb Center which is on Macomb Community College's Center Campus. I'd seen many performance at the Macomb Center and I loved coming back even if the circumstances were different. I got my donation and was headed toward my final destination.
I really didn't like traveling M-59 or Hall Road as it is also know simply because the traffic was usually a nightmare. Once I gotten past the last intersection Hall Road officially became M-59 which I would take to I-75 north. I pulled into the parking lot of Great Lakes Crossing which was a huge outlet mall. I carefully navigate the parking lot to find the AMC theater located at the mall. Once I found it I proceeded inside to retrieve the donation from the manager I'd spoken to the previous week. Once I had safely stowed the package in my back seat I would be on my way back home.
I called home to tell my brother I'd need his help unloading my car. Now that I was back on the interstate I could relax a bit I was officially done with this auction even if the only formality was taking photos of each group for a book that could be picked up prior to the actual auction. I honked the horn as I drove up. I was hoping Toby was ready to move everything out of my car. I think all the boxes in trunk were weighing my car down.
It took many trips to my car before I got everything inside. I wasn't sure where I'd take the pictures but I needed more light so I decided to pack the dumb waiter with the boxes I needed to photograph. Once I got all the boxes in my apartment I needed to figure out how to photograph the groups. I decided to think about that while watching another movie.
- will post more tomorrow.
