Part 9
I never said I enjoyed Damian as much as you think i do. I sat in the bunk leaning on his shoulder; as he wrapped his arms around me. Ryan was lost on how I felt; he was only there to see the abuse; he never felt just how much pain I go through each night reliving it. "Does it hurt to be abused as much as people say it does?" Damian asked rubbing my back up and down. "If I had the choice to live with the abuse or be dead; I'd chose being dead over it all the time. You're lucky your life was never like Ryan and I's. I don't know what real life is," I whispered trying to get Ryan's attention. "I read what you wrote on Facebook, I love you," he kissed me. I laughed and saw Neil peak up toward us. I could tell he didn't like seeing what we were doing but he just laughed. Awhile passed laying in Damian's bunk. I felt a small feeling of being worried as everyone had fallen asleep. I climbed out of the bunk and walked into the back room where the kitchen was. Not knowing what the lads had, I searched through the cabinets and pulled out cereal. I read the time '2:35," I had seen all the lads fall asleep but I was the one that didn't find the sleep I needed. My stomach ached from the amount of times I sat down for long periods of time. After eating 3 bowls of dry cereal with not a wee bit of milk I laid in my bunk hearing the others move around. Not once did I feel my body fall asleep, but I did. "Jennie, wake up Jennie," Ryan said shaking me up around 9. I flipped the bunk tele realising I knew nothing that would be on. "Do you have another concert today?" I asked climbing out of my bunk holding my right ear. "We do but you don't have to go if you don't want to," Ryan answered moving my hand, "Only a week left of being 14." I couldn't help but realise it was only the 2 of September and a wee bit longer until I was 15. Ryan had always brought the best for that special day, but this year he had to plan for two. "Ryan, she coming tonight?" Sharon asked walking into the bus. "I might but it depends on the effects of the medicine and the time I pass out. It's actually harder to sleep on here than I thought with the time change and everything," I replied walking back to my doctor. She handed me the pills and as a much as I wanted to, I couldn't find myself gagging. "Everything okay Jennie?" Ryan asked as I climbed into my bunk. I was holding my stomach and mouth, face blue. I ended up passing out, waking up alone at 5. I quickly jumped off the bunk, changing into clothes I didn't even think I packed, but I did. I saw a note on the wall reading "Jennie, when you awake head into the back room. Ryan." I quickly grabbed a jacket, not realising it was Damian's, and rushed to the back room. "That's my jacket by the way!" Damian yelled running toward me. I quickly stepped back as Keith moved a bottle slightly into my hands. I knew not a thing as Keith rushed out and Ryan walked in with Sharon. "Keith! We know you set this up," Sharon annoyed, grabbed the bottle out of my hands and into Ryan's. "What did I miss?" I asked as I slightly passed a hug with my cousin. "Wee small rehearsal but I don't see why you would want to watch us do the same thing over and over again like yesterday," Ryan picked me up and attempted to get Damian to leave. "Take a chance and live life to the fullest," Paul broke in pushing me to the ground. "Did you pack those clothes?" Ryan asked. "I did," Sharon corrected taking a picture with my camera. "How did you get that? And how did you know I hid it in Damian's jacket?" I asked grabbing the camera out of her hand. "You were hiding things in my clothes?" Damian joked. "No, Ryan and I planed on me making a picture book but I didn't want Sharon to find the camera!" "How many pictures so far do you have?" Keith asked rampaging through his bags. "I have only a wee bit from yesterday's performance. There wasn't much but I did get the Starbucks, Theatre and other random things." "You're actually going to do it? I mean make a whole album just so you can look back at this one time experience someone like you may never get in their life?" Sharon asked handing me my camera. "Sure, why not? I mean, hey, we need a wee bit of craic sometime?" I joked.

Part 10
I decided to skip everything with the lads and play a wee bit of music outside of the theatre. I sat at the steps outside with me guitar case open, hoping not one person would drop change in it. My plan failed, just before the show began I had collected $54.75, but I didn't understand why the people had been so giving. I quickly packed my guitar in it's case with the money and ran to the bus just before the lads left. "How much did you get?" Ryan asked hearing the change move around. "$54.75, you want any of it since I won't need it?" I replied. "Keep it, you may need it in the future. Oh and during the show do your schoolwork, you forgot about it." I sat me MacBook up on the table and stared at the lads as they left the bus. "Jennie!" Damian yelled running back into the bus. "Please come?" He kissed me on the cheek grabbing my hand. "How much longer do I have?" I asked releasing and starting my work. "One hour to get through 5 classes, I'll help so you can come." He sat next to me and opened up the books. "Damian, what are you doing? Oh, helping me cousin with her course work, clearly she paid you," Ryan hesitated walking into the bus. "I don't really want to go tonight, but this young one wants me to. Ryan, a week and I'm done?" "You want to go back to The Moy after your birthday?" Ryan asked sitting on the other side of the table. "I've thought about it and I think I want to go back just for a bit," I closed my MacBook. "Why do you want to go back?" Damian asked. "It's been 3 days and I just feel like living in a bus isn't for me. I mean I want to come back touring but I just want to go back to The Moy since Sharon said I could go back when I want to." "You haven't told Sharon about it I already know that; so Damian, we have to go and tell Sharon," Ryan stood up and turned off all the lights but the upper table ones. "Bye Damian and Ryan," I paused, "I'm going to do this Ryan, it's my choice and I want to actually follow through without you denying me." I quickly turned the Tele on to see just what on earth Americans watch. Coming from the Irish that never watches the Tele except for NBA, Footie and Rugby, the Tele in the US of A was as boring as in Ireland. I couldn't find the silence of the bus helpful with me studies as the empty bunks laid behind me and the drivers radio in front. "Just finished Act 1. How are your studies going?" the text from Ryan read. "I've finished 4 and still have English left...." I texted him back, not describing anything else that had happen behind the course work. I found myself standing outside next to the bus about the throw up many times. It had been 20 hours since I had last ate but I never wanted to grab the food, which had been perfectly marked with the owners name on it. The English work I was forced to finish went by faster than I thought. My hands ached with the pain of writing and the earlier session of guitar playing for the town. My stomached ached from having to finish the course work and the days that counted down to The Moy. I ended up not long after passing out on the couch with the Tele on BBC America (the only station that actually had something good to watch). I don't remember Ryan, Damian, Keith, Paul, George and Sharon come in after the show; I just remember waking up, laying on Sharon's knees at around 11, just before we headed off to the next town. "Sharon, I want to head back home on the 10th, is that okay?" I asked holding me stomach. "Yes it's okay, Ryan told me you want to go back. Sleep, you really need it," Sharon whispered placing an ice pack on my head. I don't remember just why my doctor was examining me before I had awoken, but I awoke to a light in my eyes. "Jennie, open your eyes as wide as you can," the doctor said. I moved my hand from my stomach feeling Ryan's leg I had been laying on. I closed my half open eyes and heard Ryan whisper, "She doesn't want to do anything right now, let her rest." "That's all she's been doing, she is more than sick, she literally is living with Leukaemia and the flu!" the doctor responded. "I don't care what she has, she's sick and that's what we are leaving it at!"

Part 11
Leukaemia and the flu? I surly wasn't meant for touring and I didn't ever want to say that I was. To think that all I use to do ended and ended up bring me to this bus I lay in everyday trying to sleep. The doctor and the lads didn't even find out how I was sick. If the flu came from one of thr lads then they had a chance of getting it, but I was the one that got it at the worst time. "Ryan, what's today?" I asked pushing my head into his stomach. "It's the 3, don't get me sick please," Ryan replied wrapping his arms around me. I felt like everything wrong with me went away and it staked like that for a wee bit longer. This was something I actually enjoyed to live with. I closed my eyes, letting me relive the good things that happen in my life.
I was 8 and Ryan was 22 of the summer of 2002. Ryan and I drove down to Dublin to get some nice creamed ice. I remember walking into the shoppe going straight to the counters. "Sea Salt Jennie?" the worker asked. "Yes Brother!" I replied jumping up and down. The worker wasn't really my brother, he just began to grow close on me fingering how often we traveled down there. "One sea salt scoop for my sister, and one chocolate scoop for my friend." Giving us the cups he would rush to the back to get on break, serve himself the scoop he wanted that day, and walked with us around town. I remember his name, it was Glen, Glen Macintosh. Glen was one of Ryan's friends who had moved from Glasgow when he was 10. His mum was born in Dublin and dad in Manchester. I was just a wee child of 2 when I met him, but since then he was part of me family. I missed visiting Glen after everything happen to me family. Ryan tried to adapt me to not seeing him. I hadn't had the sea salt scoop in forever, but it was just a year ago.
"Ryan, what happen to Glen?" I asked moving so I could put my head on his shoulder. "Glen misses you, is he still your brother?" Ryan whispered. "If I saw him again and he was the same as last year, yes he'd still be my brother but if not the no." "He moved, he moved to Paris a week after we last saw him. I hardly talk with him but I'm sure he's alright." "Do you think he opened up another creamed ice shoppe?" "I don't know, maybe we should go there one day and look. Who knows, he could of named it after his adorable sister!" "What are you talking about?" Damian asked slowly getting out of his bunk. "Jennie's and my old friend that was a great person." "Oh that's cool. You want to play some footie with me?" I slowly closed my eyes though all I really wanted to do was beat him on the game. "I want to play, Damian, and beat you," I whispered giving him a wee small smirk. He quickly handed me a controller and sat next to me. I decided to switch my head onto his, distracting the fact that I was sick. "If I get sick, I blame you," Damian joked placing his nose onto mine. "Too close," I backed away realising that Ryan had left the couch. "I'm in the mood for Starbucks." "Have you seen your hair?" "I'm sorry but I DON'T OWN A COMB! No really I don't and I'm glad you learnt that," "So why do you keep your hair long? I thought you played footie?" "Oh, I do play, why do you think I'm beating you right now?" "How often do you play FIFA?" "If I say never I'd be lying, but I hardly play; schooling, acting, modelling and singing takes up to much of my time." I paused the game and looked at Damian. (I'd love to go on with all this but I'll just go on to when Ryan came into this part of the story!) "Jennie and Damian?" Ryan questioned. "May I please ask what is going on?" That's all Ryan had to deal with this next part, but care to I go on about this well. Truthfully, I don't know how this started but I knew Sharon wouldn't be happy about it? I could see her face red and wanting to send me back to The Moy in less than the 7 days I had left. "Care to explain?" Ryan asked again. I stood up and saw Damian put his jacket back on. "How did FIFA end up to you two messing around on the couch?" "Hum, Mr. Kelly, your cousin Jennie, we were just playing FIFA, then she kind of won, which she never does, and next we know we ended here," Damian explained. "Tell that to Sharon, then I'll see if I believe the missing part between Jennie winning and you ending here," Ryan annoyed told walking back to where he was with the lads in the back of the bus practicing. "We are screwed officially," I told opening up the refrigerator grabbing a bottled water. "What seriously can we get in trouble by? We were just messing around. Okay water got all over but that's all." We tried to clean up the food that we tipped over, hoping when Sharon came she wouldn't be mad.
