"I can't believe we finally get to go!" Nicole squealed excitedly to her friend.
"I know!" Amanda cheered! "I love Celtic Thunder, and now we finally get to see them LIVE!"
"It's – ALIVE!!!" Nicole joked in her rather random way.
She always said bizarre things when she was in an exceptionally good mood, and knowing that in a few hours she would see Keith Harkin, one of her favorite singers, live, in concert, performing 'Lauren & I', her favorite song, definitely put her in an exceptionally good mood.
"Yes!" Her best friend laughed. "They live!" They were both rather silly twenty-year-old girls, and they liked it that way.
"This is gonna be an amazing night." Nicole sighed. "I just know it. I mean, NOTHING could go wrong!"
"Of course not." Amanda agreed. "Because we all know that at the meet and greet, Damian will fall madly in love with me," She smiled at that thought. "And Keith," She continued dramatically. "is going to fall, desperately, HOPELESSLY, HEAD-OVER-HEELS in love with you!"
"Oh, yes." Nicole rolled her eyes, still chuckling at this ridiculous idea. "And then they will sweep us of our feet and carry us away from the ball to their shimmering castles where we will live happily ever after with our flying pigs."
"Why do you always do that?" Her friend complained. "Every time I have a dream, you shoot it down. Why can't I have dreams?"
"I don't shoot them all down," She explained. "But don't you think that's a little … unrealistic?"
"No." Amanda told her flatly. "No I don't. I think Damian could fall in love with me. And I think Keith could fall in love with you if you'd give him a chance."
"Okay." Nicole humored her. "I'll give Keith a chance."
"Good! Because you two would be PERFECT together!" Amanda giggled with joy.
'Oh, yes,' Nicole thought to her self. 'We'd be perfect. Just like every other girl who thinks he's cute.' But, of course, she would never bother to say that to her overly excitable friend.
Amanda truly believed that Damian McGinty was the only boy she could ever love, but Nicole never thought of her favorite member in any sort of romantic way. To her, he was just an amazing musician with a fun sense of humor. She may love him, but she wasn't in love with him. And she never thought she ever would be.
"Okay." She said to Amanda. "You ready to go?"
"Honey, I was born ready!" Amanda answered.
"Good. I'm driving, right?" Nicole chuckled.

"This is it." Amanda gasped as the two friends got close to the building they were walking toward. "There's the theater. There's no turning back now."
"There was no turning back after I payed a hundred dollars to come see them." Nicole told her.
"Well, yeah, but now we – OH MY GOSH! Is that Emmet?!"
"A.D.D. much?" Nicole laughed.
"It IS! It's Emmet! I saw him! He's, he's in the theater now." She sighed with disappointment as the singer vanished through the doors that led to the backstage area. "We missed him."
"No we didn't. We saw him."
"But if we'd been fast enough, maybe we could have talked to him before he went inside."
"No, we wouldn't have. He's getting ready for the show tonight. Even if we do happen to run into one of them, we're not going to bother them. Got it? … Amanda?"
She looked around frantically for her friend, then suddenly, she saw where she was. Amanda had rushed across the street toward the second man who'd stepped out of the tour bus.
"KEITH!" She screamed his name excitedly as a car swerved to miss her.
Nicole could see the young singer cringe at the sound of the girl screeching his name. She ran after her friend, dodging cars and calling her name. Keith Harkin turned to face the two girls with an annoyed look on his face until he saw Nicole. When they reached the tour buses where the Irishman was standing, Nicole saw a look of shock and joy on the young man's face. His mouth hung open in surprise with a slight smile playing around the edges and his eyes were wide and never leaving her.
"Lauren?" He asked, almost pleading as if she could decide to be who he wanted just because he asked her to.
"No, I'm–" Her answer was cut short by the sound of what must have been Damian McGinty's voice from right behind her, just out of sight of the road.
"I can lift it! See? He stated. "I just have to swing it a bit and–"
WHAM! Nicole felt something hit her hard in the side of her head and heard Amanda scream. Her vision went dark and she felt herself start to fall, but the ground never seemed to come.
