Blonde-haired, blue-eyed gorgeous man, is what Keith Harkin is. He was a typical surfer who looks as though he belonged in California, but alas he lived in Ireland. That isn’t implying that surfing is bad here! It’s just… cold. And very different. But did that stop this boy from surfing? Not at all. It was the best place to clear your head, in his opinion. Especially after the day that he had just had. It was his first time running into Sarah again. After all that time, and all those hardships, was it still possible that he had feelings for her? And her for him? But that’s for later, right now it’s time to go back to where everything began…
The first day of middle school was fairly nerve-wracking for Keith Harkin. He hated school, the only class he ever enjoyed was music. The only problem was that his knowledge of music had greatly surpassed what the teacher would be teaching the class. Walking into his homeroom class caused him to be even more nervous because the majority of his friends went to a different school, or were in a different homeroom. Sitting as far in the back as he could, he waited for this day to be over so he could get home and work on his music. As he began to space out for the day a voice sounded next to him. It was a pretty, lilting voice, that sounded as though it would be a wonderful singer.
“Is this seat taken?” she asked, pointing at the desk next to him. As he glanced up at her, he could only think of how gorgeous she was. She had long, curly brown hair with half of it pulled back. Her eyes were a gorgeous blue, but looked slightly piercing in the light, in a good way though.
“No, it’s free,” Keith replied when his voice finally came to him. “I’m Keith,” he said, introducing himself.
“Hi Keith, it’s nice too meet you. I’m Sarah. I just moved here from the States.”
“It’s nice to meet you too Sarah. You just moved here? I’ve lived here for my entire life, though it is quite nice here. I’ve always wanted to travel though. Are you interested in music at all?” he couldn’t help but ask.
“I love music!” she exclaimed. “I’ve grown up singing and was really worried that I wouldn’t find anyone here that enjoys it as much as I do… I must say, you look like a singer and guitarist.”
“Spot on there! My whole family is musical, so it just comes to me sometimes. I write my own stuff too, though I don’t know if any of it is good…”
“I’m sure it is,” she said, a smile coming into her expression. She opened her mouth to say something else, only to be cut off by the teacher, welcoming us to the class. From that day on Keith and Sarah became the best of friends, almost like brother and sister, except for that small spark that existed causing them both to want more than friendship.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated since this is a work in progress!!!! Hope you enjoy it!!

10 years after their first meeting Sarah McConnell started to wonder what on earth had happened to them. They used to be inseparable, but then Keith started focusing more and more time on his music, travelling to London to record songs, and somehow their talking slowly diminished. Sarah began to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher, and a year ago, after she finished college, she decided that she and one of her best friends from college, Michelle Scofield, were going to go visit the local pub. Michelle was visiting Sarah in Derry, Ireland and had really wanted to visit a pub in Ireland. They walked to the pub, which was not too far from Sarah’s house. They sat down near the bar and could hear excited chatter about the man who was providing the music that night.
“Who’s singing tonight?” Sarah asked the waiter.
“He’s local here, but has apparently become very big in the States,” the waiter said as Sarah glanced at Michelle. “He’s supposed to be really good.” The waiter quickly took their orders and went to get them. Momentarily we heard the announcer welcoming the singer. As he walked onto the stage, Sarah’s mouth opened in shock as her brain registered it was Keith singing that night. Keith Harkin, whom she had not seen since before college. The two of us sat listening to Keith perform, and he has gotten so much better since high school, Sarah was in shock.
Michelle nudged Sarah in the ribs and whispered, “Do you know him Sarah?”
Sarah nodded and replied, “Not only do I know him, but he was my best friend all throughout middle and high school. Then when I came over to the States for college, somehow we lost contact. I haven’t talked to him in forever.”
“Well, as soon as he’s done, you are going over to say hi, ok?” Sarah knew that there was no arguing with her when her mind was set. She, along with her two brothers, were the most stubborn people that she knew. Sarah agreed, as Keith continued to sing. As soon as he was done and had sat down, Michelle gave me pointed looks to go over and say hi.
Rolling her eyes, Sarah stood up and slowly made her way over to where Keith was sitting. “Is this seat taken?” Sarah asked, just the same as she did the first time she met him. She could feel butterflies in her stomach and tried to keep them from emerging too much.
“No, it’s not,” he replied, glancing up. Sarah wasn’t sure whether or not he recognized her yet, so she began,
“It’s been too long Keith.” His eyes quickly opened in shock and recognition.
“Sarah? Is it really you?”
She laughed, “It really is me Keith.” Getting up, Keith came to the other side of the table and gave her a hug, picking her up off of the seat.
“I can’t believe it! How on earth have you been?”
“I’ve been great, finished college and things have been going well. I got a job over here so work has become a huge part of my life now. How about you?”
“That’s awesome Sarah! I’ve been doing great! Been working on music and all, and managed to get a spot in a music group! Apparently we’re really popular over in the States, hard to believe though,” he replied as we fell into silence, not exactly sure how to broach the subject of our falling out of contact. “I’m sorry I never wrote,” he began.
“It’s my fault too, I should have tried harder. And not to mention the boyfriend I had at the time didn’t make things that easy,” Sarah replied with a grimace as he cocked his head.
“Boyfriend?” Keith asked with his hair falling over one eye and a question in both his eye and tone of voice.
“It’s over, and gladly over. Trust me, you do not want to know the details. Oh and my friend from school is here if you’d like to meet her.”
“Sure why not? But I do need to tell you something at some point.”
Sarah gave him a questioning look, “Do you want to tell me now before I get her?”
“Yeah sure. Now that we’ve met up again, I don’t want to lose contact this time, please? Here’s my number,” he said, handing me a piece of paper.
Sarah smiled, “Me neither Keith, me neither.” Grabbing a piece of paper she quickly jotted down her number and gave it to him. “Be right back,” she said as she walked over to where Michelle was sitting. As Sarah was about to tell Michelle to come join them, she saw that what had been her seat was now occupied by a tall, dark-haired man.
Hope you enjoyed it!!! Feedback is more than welcome!!!

Terribly sorry I haven't updated for so long... I've been extremely busy! I hope to get more up soon!!!
“Michelle?” Sarah said with slight concern, “Do you want to come meet Keith?”
“Oh, yes!” She said excitedly.
“Keith?” The dark-haired man asked, “As in Keith Harkin? How do you know him? I’m Alex by the way, Alex Browne.”
“Nice to meet you Alex, I’m Sarah, and I’ve known Keith since we were in middle school, why?”
“Just wondering, he’s in the group that my mom created, Celtic Thunder, I don’t know if you’ve heard of them at all.” Sarah shook her head in response to what Alex said, but Michelle’s eyes opened in recognition.
“Really Alex? One of my friends at home loves them! I knew he looked slightly familiar, but I figured that Sarah had shown me her yearbook or something!” Alex laughed at Michelle’s jubilance. The three walked over to see Keith as he exclaimed, “Alex? Dude, what are you doing here?”
“I actually came to talk to you, my mom needed you to stop by soon. Not sure why though,” came his reply as Keith squinted trying to figure out why. Quickly giving up, he turned back to Sarah and Michelle.
“Keith, this is Michelle, one of my friends from school.” Keith quickly extended his tan hand and Michelle grasped it.
“It’s nice to meet you Keith, I’ve heard a lot about you,” she said to him as his eyebrows quickly shot up disappearing into his long, blonde hair.
“Nice to meet you too Michelle. So you’ve heard a lot about me? Care to enlighten me about what you’ve heard?” Sarah quickly put a hand up to her face, slightly embarrassed with not knowing what she may have let slip when she first met Michelle. Michelle had a notorious memory for detail, so anything she remembered would most likely be dangerous for her sanity.
“Well Keith… I remember Sarah telling me this one particular story…” She trailed off, as I quickly sunk into the seat behind me. Keith sat down next to me, with his hand lightly grazing mine, causing a huge blush to cross my face. Alex and Michelle sat down across from us, with Alex and Keith ready to hear whatever story that this was going to be.

“It all began back in high school for the two of these marvelous people,” Michelle began as we all became enthralled in the story.
Keith and Sarah were walking through the doors of their school on their first day of senior year. As soon as Keith walked into the school, a huge grin lit his face, causing his dimples to appear even deeper than normal. Sarah glanced over at him, surprised he was awake this early in the morning, and to be smiling? What on earth was wrong with this picture?
“Keith?” Sarah began, questioningly, wondering what on earth was up with her friend. “Are you ok? First off, it’s 7 in the morning, and we’re at school?” She quickly waved her hand in front of his face, thinking that would make him snap out of it.
“I’m fine Sarah,” he said through a grin. Shaking her head they went to meet their friends before school started. They both recounted their summers to their friends and the bell rang, signaling them to go to their first block classes. Sarah and Keith both had sociology first, which was looking to be a very interesting class. The two glanced at each other and grinned, thinking about how much fun they were going to have, and how much mayhem Keith was going to cause during it.
The day passed fairly quickly for the two friends and thankfully they had lunch together. During lunch they quickly grabbed food and decided to start working on a new piece of music, this time co-wrote together. Lunch ended all too soon and the proceeded on to their 4th block class, chorus.
When they arrived, the teacher took attendance and told all the new students what to expect. As the teacher went back into her office to do some work before they began, Keith quickly stood up on a chair and asked Sarah loudly, “Sarah? Would you do me the honor to meet me in our surfing spot tonight?” She couldn’t help but blush and quickly nodded. Keith always loved the attention, but Sarah was a much shyer person, she didn’t like to be in the spotlight unless it regarded music. Tugging on his pant leg, she forced him to get off of the chair.
“What was that for?” she hissed at him, slightly upset that he made her get into the spotlight, but also honored that one of the most popular guys in the school, even though he was her best friend, asked her to meet him in their surf spot that night, alone.
“What was that for?” he repeated, “Because I have some important news to tell you about, that’s why!” Rolling her eyes, she grinned at him, wondering what the news might be, but knowing not to ask further because he would never tell her until that night.
As the day ended they ran out to Keith’s car, hoping to beat traffic out of the school. While they were running Sarah began to lag behind, causing Keith to turn his head to see where she was. He slowed down, and threw her over his shoulder and continued to run!
“KEITH!” She shouted, and started hitting him on the back, trying to be put down.
“Put me down!!!”
“Not until we get to the car!” He replied through a laugh. We arrived at the car and he finally decided to put me down. Starting the car, we drove off laughing at the expressions on the faces of everyone around us. Keith dropped Sarah off at her house and told her to meet him with her surfboard around 7, Sarah quickly agreed and settled down to relax for an hour before beginning to get ready.
Sarah fell asleep without realizing it and when she opened her eyes she glanced at the clock and saw that it was 6 o’clock. Her eyes widened in shock as she ran to her room to find clothes to wear and figure out what to do with her hair. Even though Keith made it sound like a regular meeting between the two, she felt like dressing up a little bit more than normal. Finding a nice blue skirt and matching shirt she started to curl her hair. As soon as she finished she grabbed her heels and ran out the door to her car.
Arriving at their favorite spot she quickly got her surfboard off of the car and went to meet Keith, only to not see him, but see a blanket set up near his board.
“Keith?” Sarah called out, knowing that he had to be somewhere close by because he would never leave his board alone. Out of nowhere arms encircled her from behind, covering her eyes. Based on the smell, she could tell it was Keith because it was a mix of cologne, ocean water, and wood. Smiling slightly she relaxed into his arms, wondering what he had planned.
“Hi Sarah, glad you could make it. And don’t worry, you’ll find out what’s going on very shortly,” he told her reassuringly. Gently leading her towards what she believed to be the blanket she was brought to the ground. He quickly uncovered her eyes allowing her to see the elegant spread of food that he had laid out.
“Keith? What is all this?”
With shifty eyes he replied, “I was hungry. And since I told you to meet me here, I got a lot of food.” Rolling her eyes, they devoured the food. After about a half an hour of idle chit-chat they decided to go out on the water and enjoy the waves as the sun set. After one particularly high and violent wave, they both fell into the water, laughing. As they worked their way back to shore, they collapsed from laughter as soon as they got there.
Through a laugh, Sarah asked, “Do you even know why we’re laughing?” Keith just shook his head as he put his arm around her, pulling her onto his chest. Sighing in happiness, Sarah lay contently glancing at the sky.
“Sarah?” Keith asked as she turned her face towards him. “I was wondering… and I mean, I know it’s kind of sudden… but…” he trailed off. Sarah tried to give him a look of encouragement, but he continued to sit in silence for a few minutes.
“Please, don’t hate me for what I am about to do, I’m just me. But Sarah, would you be my girlfriend?” At this Sarah gave a pondering look, wondering whether to accept or not. Giggling she replied, “Of course I will!” Keith grinned down at her, and they continued to lie side by side next to the ocean, with the waves lapping up against their feet.
Hope you enjoyed it! Please let me know what you think!!!!!

By the end of this story, Sarah had her face in her hands and Keith was chuckling.
“I remember that day quite well,” he said to the others.
“You picked her up? Oh man, that sounds like an interesting experience,” Alex said with a laugh and glance at Michelle.
“Thanks Michelle, thanks a lot. I might make you walk home now,” Sarah said, her face still in her hands, and a slight blush to be seen. The friends, old and new, quickly finished up their meals and headed out to their cars.
“Sarah, can I have a quick word?”
“Sure Keith, of course,” Sarah replied and followed Keith off to the side of the building, with the other two laughing, wondering what this might be about.
As soon as they were out of sight of the others, Keith quickly pulled Sarah into a hug, mumbling into her hair, “I’ve missed you so much. I know it doesn’t seem it, since I was a jerk and never wrote to you, but it’s true. Please Sarah, will you meet me at our spot so I can show you how it’s true?”
She smiled into his chest since he still had not let go of her. “But of course I will… when should I meet you? And are you living at home again? And you aren’t a jerk, I should have kept in touch too.”
“Thank you Sarah, it does mean a lot. And if you’re free tomorrow, I’ll be there, probably all day, so how about around 4? And I’m not living at home, I am living in Derry still though, I just got my own house. Where are you staying?”
“4 sounds fine with me. I’ll be there, you can count on it. You have your own house now? Great job Keef,” Sarah said, pulling her old nickname for him out. “I’m down the road from my parents, it’s a fairly nice house, I’m renting it for the time being.”
Sarah caught him blush slightly when he heard the name Keef being used again and said,
“Wow Sarah, I’m not even sure the last time I was called Keef… it’s strange, but it feels like I’m coming home again, do you know what I mean?” Sarah never could remember when he released her out of the hug, the next thing she knew, they were inches apart.
“I do know what you mean Keef, it does feel marvelous to see you again,” she said as they inched closer, but slowly, each not knowing how the other might react.
Sorry for the short update, but i'll try to get another up soon! Please tell me what you think!

So sorry for the long delay! I'm starting school soon so there has been a lot of hassle there.... so here's another update for ya!
“Keith! Sarah! Where the heck are you guys?” We quickly moved apart from each other before anything happened. “It’s taking you forever! Not to mention it’s getting late Sarah!” Michelle yelled for them as she and Alex began looking around for them.
“We’re coming!” Sarah yelled as the two made their way over to where Alex and Michelle were standing.
“What took you so long? It’s getting late girl…” Michelle told Sarah when they reached each other.
Glancing at the clock, Sarah’s eyes widened slightly. “I’m sorry Michelle, if we’re going to get home anytime soon, we better start walking.”
Keith glanced back and forth between the two girls and Alex, “Sarah?” he questioned, “Did I hear you say walking?” She nodded. “That’s not happening, I’ll give you a lift home. Come on. See ya Alex!” Keith said as he led the two girls to the car.
“You still have the bug?” Sarah asked when they arrived at the car. Smiling he nodded and replied,
“This, and a VW bus at home too!” Pausing he tried to gather his thoughts, “So what are you two in such a rush for that you forgot you had walked and didn’t leave early enough?”
The two girls glanced at each other and Sarah responded, “Well, it’s not my place to say… it’s up to Michelle.” The two exchanged whispered conversation and finally Michelle spoke up,
“It’s my brothers… They’re in the States and they said they would call me tonight. It’s rare for them to get to a phone, so this is such an occasional thing to happen. And believe me, I never get to see them...”
“I’m so sorry Michelle… why do you never get to see them?”
“That in itself, is for a different time and place,” she replied and the others let the subject drop as Sarah showed Keith how to get to her house. As Keith pulled up to the house, Michelle grabbed the keys from Sarah and ran into the house to sit by the phone, leaving Sarah and Keith alone.
“So…” Keith began as Sarah interrupted,
“I’m so glad that we met up again Keith… I’m hoping that this time things will go better and we’ll stay in touch.”
“Me too Sarah. You up for surfing anytime soon?” She smiled.
“But of course Keith, you have my number now, just give me a call,” she said as Michelle yelled from inside,
“Sarah! Come in here! I want to introduce you to them!”
“Be right there Michelle!” Sarah yelled back and turned to Keith and said, “Well, that’s my cue. Thank you Keith. It was marvelous seeing you again. I’ll see you soon though.”
“You can count on that, let me walk you to the door,” he said and took her arm. When they reached the door, Keith leaned over and gave her a hug. “I’ll call you tomorrow Sarah.”
She smiled and hugged back, “Sounds good Keith. Good night,” she said and turned to the door.
“Good night Sarah,” he replied and headed to his car. Sarah closed the door and glanced out the widow to see him drive out of sight. Walking over to Michelle, she had the biggest grin on her face possible as Michelle wordlessly handed her the phone.
“We’re talking after this, ok Michelle?” She nodded and pressed the phone into Sarah’s hands.
“Hello?” Sarah said into the phone as Michelle said,
“Well, I know this is a strange introduction, but Michael and Linc, this is Sarah.” Sarah’s eyes widened in recognition as she put the names together, realizing that her brothers were Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows.
Let me know what you think!!! (P.S. the two characters are from the show Prison Break, so that is my disclaimer that I do not own them)

Update for ya! Glancing at Michelle Sarah said hi to her brothers, “It’s nice to meet you, even though its over the phone.”
“You too,” they both agreed. Sarah talked to them for a few more minutes until she decided to let Michelle have some time with them. She wandered over to her bedroom and sunk into her bed, without being able to believe that her best friend’s brothers were almost famous. Well… not necessarily in a good way though.
Michelle walked into Sarah’s room, hoping to talk to her for a little while and explain everything. “Sarah? I want to explain about this…” Sarah wasn’t hurt that Michelle never told her anything about them, but she was slightly confused and was beginning to wonder why she never knew. “Well, first of all, Lincoln has been in bad dealings for a long time. He didn’t want anyone to find out that I was related to him which could cause issues in the future for me. And as for Michael, he’s been so busy working as a structural engineer that I barely would have been able to see him. Not to mention he would occasionally help Linc out with some things, so Michael didn’t want me tied back to him either… That’s why I never told you. I’m sorry Sarah…”
Hearing the torture of not having her family around her, Sarah went over to Michelle and gave her a hug. “I’m so sorry, and don’t worry about anything, everything is perfectly clear now.” Smiling, Michelle looked up at Sarah and asked,
“Well, if that’s sorted, and you don’t mind me changing the subject… what’s up with you and Keith?”
Sarah turned and walked back over to her bed, trying to hide the smile growing on her face at the mere mention of Keith. “Nothing,” she replied in a sing-song voice.
“Hmm…” Michelle replied, “Now why don’t I believe that? And why on earth were the two of you gone for so long?”
Sarah sat down on her bed and glared at Michelle, but in a loving way. “Oh fine, like we said before we dated in high school and a little beyond. And today we were talking and it seemed like high school was yesterday. Everything was falling into place. We gave each other our numbers so we could keep in contact and he said that he would call me tomorrow. So who knows what is going to happen.”
“Well,” began Michelle, “based on how he was acting today, I have a good feeling that he will call you tonight. I know this may be early, but if he were to ask you out… what would you say?”
Sarah slowly got up and walked over to her window. Leaning her arms on the sill she sighed. Drawing in a deep breath she said, “At the moment, I really want to say yes, but I feel we need to get to know each other a bit more. But in the future, I would easily say yes. I feel that my life might be complete if I were to be with him again… does that sound strange?”
Michelle got up and walked over to join Sarah by the window. “Sarah, not at all. After all you have been through it makes sense. I think the time will be good for you. But if the time does feel right, go for it.”
Sarah turned to Michelle, “Thanks Michelle. It means a lot. I’m glad you’re here… I just wish you didn’t have to leave so soon.”
“I wish that too… but we have had a great time, and we’ll make the most of the next few days, trust me,”
Sarah grinned, “Oh, I trust you all right, Miss Adventurer.” The two girls continued talking long into the night until they could barely keep their eyes open.Tell me what you think! And sorry for not that much info about Michael and Linc... More might come

Update for you guys!!!! Sorry I haven't been updating that much... College is crazy and with the few reviews on here I haven't been updating... I'd love to see more reviews! They will definitely help me write faster!!!! Sarah was jogging next to the ocean enjoying the feel of the sea breeze on her face. Trying to clear her head from the jumble of thoughts that were running through her mind regarding Keith, she continued to jog. As the thoughts began to overwhelm her she sank down onto the beach as stared off into the distance. A while passed as Sarah became lost in her thoughts. Looking up she saw a strange man looking down at her. He had brown hair that was short, yet somewhat spiky, and blue eyes that looked as if they could almost pierce your soul. He opened his mouth to say something, and what came out was “Yo ho, yo ho a pirates life for me…” Sarah squinted, trying to figure out what was going on. This strange man continued to sing as Sarah began to realize what was going on. The man began to fade from sight as Sarah opened her eyes. Grabbing her phone she mumbled, “Hello?” “Hi Sarah! Did I wake ya?” Keith’s voice came over the phone in a very peppy tone for this early in the morning. Trying to sound more awake, “No you didn’t…” Through the phone she could tell Keith grimaced, “I’m sorry for waking ya… But I wanted to talk to ya about what you wanted to do today.” “What time is it?” Sarah mumbled. A smile came over Keith’s face, “Why, it’s one o’clock in the afternoon!” Sarah’s eyes popped open as wide as they would, “How on earth did I sleep in that late?” She questioned, not knowing an answer. “Well, I’m not too sure meself, but I’d like to think that you would still be willing to do something with me tonight?” Now that Sarah was awake it was much easier for her to think and respond, “But of course I’d love to do something with you tonight. What do you have in mind?” “Now that, is a surprise,” he said. “I’ll pick you up around 4 if that works? And just wear something comfortable.” Through a smile Sarah replied, “Sounds good to me. See you then.” As Sarah placed her phone back on the table next to her bed, she fell back onto her bed, wondering what was going on with her heart. After a while, she forced herself up in order to begin getting ready. ‘Comfortable, yet casual,’ she thought to herself, wondering what on earth she should wear. Looking into her closet she grabbed her favorite pair of jeans along with a green blouse. Hoping that this would be suitable she grabbed a pair of green converses and went to get something to eat. As soon as she reached the bottom of her stairs the doorbell rang. Shaking her head she answered the door. “Michelle? Why are you ringing the bell?” Sarah asked with an eyebrow raised. “I lost my key?” She replied with a smile. “Oh, how long have you been up anyways?” “Let’s just leave it as awhile.” The two continued to talk until four o’clock rolled around. Promptly at four the doorbell rang and Sarah ran to open it. Before she did she tried to calm herself down and then proceeded to open the door. “Hi Sarah, how are you today?” He asked as he handed me a bushel of roses. With her eyes open in shock she replied, “Marvelous, simply marvelous. How are you?” “I would have to say the same. You ready to go?” “Yeah, I just need to put these in to a vase and I’ll be ready. Bye Michelle!” Sarah called up the stairs as the two of them walked to Keith’s car. As soon as they reached the car he quickly opened the door for her, allowing her to gracefully sit on the seat. “Thank you Keith,” she told to him as he closed my door and walked around to the driver’s side to get in. The car ride passed in semi-silence with each of them wondering what to say to the other, even though they did know that they each liked the other. As they pulled up outside, Sarah’s eyes opened in shock. “So this is why you wanted me to wear casual clothes?” She said through a giggle as he nodded in agreement. “Yes Sarah, this is why,” he replied as he opened the door and led her inside. Hope you enjoyed it!

Well, since you asked!
Sarah could not believe where Keith had decided to take her, they were at the bowling alley that they had frequented as teenagers. “I haven’t been here since,” she though for a moment, “the last time you and I were here.”
Keith’s eyes widened in shock, “Really?” he breathed. “I guess it has been a long time for you then…” After a moment he grinned and reached for my hand, dragging me to the door like a little boy. Rolling her eyes, she allowed him to drag her to the door. They entered and reserved their lane and began bowling. “Sarah, you first,” Keith told her and she went up to find a ball.
“Well, let’s see if the striped balls are still lucky!” She asked and bowled, knocking over 6 pins.
“Not bad,” she said when she turned around to get her next ball. Keith was just smiling at her as she bowled her next two turns. “Your up Keith,” she said as she sat back down. He winked and grabbed a solid brown ball and bowled a strike. Sarah’s eyes widened and she began to laugh. “Really now Keith?” she began before it was her turn again.
“Well, I guess so, but we’ll see what happens.” Sarah rolled her eyes as they continued to bowl.
As the game continued Keith bowled 3 more strikes but when Sarah gave him a look after his third strike in a row, he decided to help her bowl. Keith came up to her and showed her a different way to hold the ball, she tried it and then he proceeded to show her how to release it. Sarah took a deep breath and tried to replicate what Keith showed her.
“I did it!” Sarah exclaimed as she bowled a strike. Keith grinned and gave her a hug to show his happiness.
“Great job Sarah! I knew you could do it!” He said with a wink and took his next turn. They finished the game, with Keith winning, just as he did the last time they had been there. “Do you feel like going to get some food?” He asked as he gave her puppy dog eyes.
“Well with that face, I guess I’ll have to…” she said with a smile as he took her hand and walked down the street to a pizza place close by.
“So if I remember correctly, you enjoy pizza?” He asked as they got closer to the parlor.
“Who doesn’t like pizza?” Sarah replied. “I mean, how much better can anything get when you have bread, cheese, and sauce?”
“Well let’s head on into the place then!” Keith said as he put his arm around Sarah and led her to a table. “So how does extra cheese sound to you?”
“Marvelously delicious.”
“Then I will be right back, Pepsi for a drink?”
“But of course,” she said as he walked off to order. A few minutes passed and Keith came back with a steaming hot pizza with extremely gooey cheese that looked delicious.
“This looks amazing!” Sarah exclaimed as he placed the pizza in front of her. They each took a slice and began eating it as they had light conversation. Suddenly Keith eyes widened as he shook his head in what appeared to be either amusement or frustration. “What is it Keith?”
“Look behind you…” he said in a voice that Sarah couldn’t exactly tell if it was happy or annoyed.

Thank you for the reviews!!!! When it was under Keith's page, I didn't think people were reading it... so here's the next part for you!!! “Jen!” Sarah exclaimed as she turned around to see her best friend appear. “And Ryan! Oh gosh how are you two?” “We’re wonderful!” Jen replied as she gave Sarah a hug. “Hey man,” Ryan said to Keith as he nodded in acknowledgement. “How are you doing?” Keith asked, “Do you want to join us for extra cheesy pizza?” The couple looked at each other and nodded. Keith moved to sit next to Sarah and Ryan and Jen sat across from them. “So what have the two of you been up to recently?” Keith asked, “We haven’t seen you since the break in rehearsals before we leave for tour. So it’s been what, a week?” Tour that past year had been tough on Ryan and Jen, Jen had stayed in Ireland during tour but had flown out to the States a few times to see them perform. Each time they had gone over, Jen and Ryan were so ecstatic to see each other. Sarah could see a slight smile on Jen’s face. “Jen?” Sarah asked, “What is that smirk for?” Jen glanced at Ryan who nodded. She held up her hand as Keith and Sarah’s eyes shot open. “You guys are engaged? And you didn’t tell us?” Keith exclaimed, shocking the two girls who had both figured that Sarah would be the first one to say something. “Well, technically you are the first people to know. I just asked her two days ago and we wanted to keep it quiet for a few days,” Ryan told them. “So does that mean you just didn’t want Paul to find out?” Sarah asked. “More or less,” Jen said with a laugh. “Oh well, would you guys not tell the others yet and let us when we get a chance?” Sarah and Keith nodded and finally Sarah was able to exclaim, “You’re getting married!!! It seems like only yesterday that we met.” “Yes Sarah, that I am,” Jen said with an enormous grin on her face. As the couple glanced at each other, it was easy to see how in love they truly were. “You do realize Paul and Damian are going to have fits when they find out you didn’t tell them?” They laughed and nodded. “I’m actually kind of dreading what Paul is going to do to us when he finds out. And Keith, you cannot breathe a word of this!” “You know I won’t Ryan,” Keith replied with a smirk on his face. With a nudge Sarah whispered to Keith, “I don’t think they like that smirk that is on your face right now Keith…” He winked and replied, “Oh I know they don’t. That’s why I’m doing that.” The four of them finished their meal in eager anticipation of the wedding that was going to take place in about 6 months. As they were getting up to leave, Jen pulled Sarah aside to ask her something. “Would you do me a favor Sarah?” She asked hesitatingly. “Of course I would. What’s up?” “Would you mind being a bridesmaid?” “Mind? Why on earth would I mind? Of course I would!” She squealed and gave Jen a hug. “This is going to be so exciting! I am so happy for the two of you.” “Thank you so much Sarah, now for Ryan to find the men for his part, that will be interesting…” Sarah nodded as they went to catch up to the guys. “Do we even want to know what that was about?” Keith asked as he put his hand around Sarah’s shoulders. The two girls looked at each other and promptly replied, “No.” They soon arrived at where they would need to part to go to their cars. “You are keeping in touch regarding the wedding correct?” Sarah asked before they left. “Of course we will! We’ll talk to you soon, don’t worry about that.” They hugged and dispersed to their cars. “Can you believe that Jen and Ryan are finally getting married?” Sarah asked after they both put on their seatbelts. “In some ways yes, in others no. Ryan does deserve this after all that’s happened in his life though. So I am extremely happy for both of them.” “Me too, it’s so great for them. Their wedding is going to be so beautiful. I cannot wait.” “So what was it that Jen had to talk to you about?” Sarah grinned and replied in a sing-song voice, “You’ll see!” “If I wasn’t driving right now…” “You’d what?” Keith started to look as though he was thinking extremely hard, he then grinned evilly and Sarah’s eyes shot open. “You know I love you right Keith?” “Of course I do. But I think you’ll find out what I was thinking when we get back to your house…” When Sarah heard this she proceeded to put her face in her hands and was extremely worried about what was going to happen. Hope you enjoyed it!

Sorry it took so long! I have more written, so I will try to get it up soon for you! The couple soon arrived back at Sarah’s house. Keith quickly got out of the car with a smirk on his face. “Are you coming Sarah?” He asked her with concern. “No,” she mumbled. “But why?” He asked with puppy dog eyes. “Because…” she trailed off, not wanting to get attacked by Keith. “Fine then,” he said and walked around the car and opened her door. “I’m bringing you inside then.” Keith leaned over Sarah and picked her up to bring her inside. “What on earth are you doing to me?” Sarah yelled as she tried to hit him on the back. “You, are going inside your house so we can have a conversation,” Keith told her as her eyes widened worried about what was going to happen. “You know, you worry way too much Sarah,” he said after a few minutes. “Nothing is wrong so please don’t worry about it.” As Keith was carrying Sarah inside she couldn’t help but wonder what it was that he wanted to talk to her about. ‘I hope he’s not going to break up with me… these past few months have been great, just like they used to be. But have I done something stupid?’ she thought as he put her down onto the couch and he sat next to her. “So about that conversation…” Keith began. “What about it?” Sarah asked with concern lacing her voice. “Well…” he trailed off as he quickly reached over and began tickling Sarah. “What? No! You can’t do that to me Keith!” She yelled as she collapsed into a fit of giggles. “You know I can’t take much of this!” “This is payback for earlier my dear,” he said as he continued to tickle Sarah. “So nothing is wrong?” “Nothing is wrong at all. I just needed to get you inside somehow to get my payback.” “Oh gosh Keith, you have no idea how worried I was.” “No, I could tell hun. I love you too much to do anything awful. Do you want to go surfing soon?” Keith asked with his normal quick conversational changes. Sarah let out a laugh, “But of course I would. When do you have in mind?” “Soon.” Rolling her eyes, she replied, “Of course it would be soon. Do you feel like watching a movie?” Keith shrugged his shoulders. “Why not. I’d love to spend more time with my girl.” Sarah smiled as they picked out a movie. That night they watched the movie and both fell asleep on the couch halfway through it. Hope you liked it

Sunlight. Why was there sunlight in her eyes? Sarah wondered as her mind entered into consciousness. Feeling something warm next to her cheek she leaned into it and snuggled to get more comfortable in order to fall back asleep. Hearing a grunt, she opened her eyes grudgingly wondering what on earth was going on. “Keith?” she exclaimed when her brain registered what she was seeing, and what she had used for a pillow the past night. “What Sarah?” he mumbled and pulled her closer, her head gradually going back onto his shoulder. “What time is it?” “I don’t know… Just go back to sleep,” he began and realized what he was saying. “Oh shoot… I stayed the night. I’m so sorry. The lads are going to kill me. And we’re leaving for tour in 2 days and I haven’t started to pack…” Keith stood up and started pacing as Sarah lay down on the couch. “Don’t worry about it Keith. Nothing happened except for the fact we fell asleep on the couch while watching a movie. And how will the lads know about it anyway?” “Well, we did see Ryan yesterday, and I have rehearsal shortly, and I’ll be in the same clothes as yesterday…” he trailed off. “Oh.” Sarah stated. “You’re right, that might not be the best thing,” she glanced at the clock, “Well it’s 9 o’clock, what time does rehearsal start?” “11.” Keith said to her. “I think you’ll make it home and get new clothes if you leave now. That way we can keep this between us,” she smiled. “Sounds good to me. Since I’m leaving so soon, would you meet me at our spot tonight at 8?” “Of course I would. Now go to rehearsal and I will see you tonight.” Keith got up to leave and gave her a smile and hug. Just as he was about to go to the door, he turned around and gave her a kiss on the lips, grinned, and walked out. “See you tonight!” He said happily as he closed the door behind him and went to his car. As soon as Sarah saw the door close, she sunk onto the couch in complete disbelief of what had just happened. First, Keith scared her into thinking he was going to break up with her, but in all reality he was just going to tickle her. Second, Jen and Ryan are going to be getting married. Third, Keith accidentally ended up staying the night. Fourth, he just kissed her! For the first time since high school! If any of the girls found out that he stayed the night, or even any of the lads, she would never hear the end of it. Though Sarah had to admit, her sleep last night was the best that she had ever had in a long time. And that kiss, how she wished she could have enjoyed it, or even realized what was going on at the time. Now the only foreseeable problem was the fact that tour was coming up and Keith was leaving soon. The two of them had finally become reacquainted, and now the same thing that happened before just might happen again, even though she truly wished that it would not. Shaking her head to get that thought out of her mind, she walked into the kitchen and began to make breakfast, silently wishing that she could tell someone about what just happened. But as of right now, she couldn’t do that. She didn’t even know where she and Keith stood. She was pretty sure that they were together, but she did not want to let things get to far, or go to fast, before she knew what was going on. Humming to herself she began to eat breakfast and think about what needed to be done that day. Some shopping might be a good idea, along with some cleaning. Basically, she was biding the time until she could go see Keith that night, and possibly go for a midnight surf extravaganza with one of her favorite people in the world. One that she was so happy to be reunited with at last.

Since you asked...
That day dragged on for Sarah. She was so excited to see Keith that night she could hardly focus on anything. Thankfully, Michelle had stayed the night in a hotel, knowing that Sarah would be out and about with Keith. Michelle was planning on leaving the day after the lads left for tour, which would make home quite sad for some time. After trying to clean the house, she gave up and decided to try and take a nap to get that crick out of her neck from sleeping on the couch the night before. She quickly fell asleep, only to have dreams of her hopes in the future. Many of these dreams included Keith as a potential husband. The most shocking dreams she had was so vivid, but once she woke up she could only remember a few pieces of it.
*flashback to the dreams* Sarah and Keith were sitting on a beach and Keith was singing “… Chasin’ dreams…” The two of them were standing outside of Sarah’s house facing each other. “No, Keith! You don’t understand!” she yelled and walked away, slamming the door in his face. The two were sitting in a pub with Sarah looking slightly upset to be there. As soon as Sarah tried to get up, Keith said, “But Sarah… I love you.” Sarah and Keith were standing on the altar facing each other, both with grins of happiness on their faces. “…I do,” Sarah said and smiled even bigger towards Keith. Again they were sitting on the beach, “…don’t forget me… I’m just me, my own man…” *end flashback*
To try to clear her head from the craziness of that dream, and the few pieces that she could remember, Sarah went to take a hot shower. The shower easily relaxed her, but she still could not get those few things out of her head. She wanted to discuss that dream with someone, but they all were at rehearsal. Since she couldn’t talk to Jen, Alanna or any of the lads, she settled for writing it down. As soon as she finished her phone began to ring. “Hello?” “Sarah! Thank goodness you answered! Can you come over to rehearsal? Nicole isn’t feeling that well and Sharon won’t let her sing. They still need to go over Damian’s songs before tour. Will you come sing for awhile?” “Of course I will Jen. I’ll be there in about ten minutes.” “Thank you so much” Jen said and hung up the phone. Sarah hurried to her car so she could make it across town fairly quickly. Thankfully there was no traffic so Sarah was able to make it in ten minutes. When she walked into the building, she was quickly attacked with hugs from the lads, Alanna, and Jen. “You are a lifesaver Sarah,” Keith said as he gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek. Grabbing her hand, Keith led her into the room they were rehearsing in. Keith quickly helped her get set up behind a microphone and they began rehearsing Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen and breaking Up is Hard to DO. After running through the two songs a couple of times, Sharon was happy with them and allowed Sarah to see those not rehearsing. “Sarah! Thank you so much for helping me out on that. You saved my butt. I did not want to go on tour without having rehearsed those one last time.” Damian said as he engulfed her in a hug. His six-foot frame completely overshadowed her small five foot three inch frame, which was funny since he was five years younger than her. “It was no problem Damian. You lads know that I would help out whenever needed. I’m glad I was able to help. Plus, it got me out of my house for a bit,” she said as they walked into the break room. “Sarah!” Keith yelled and ran over and tackled her. “You sounded amazing! Thank you again for doing that for us.” Sarah smiled into his shoulder, “Like I just told Damian, it was no problem. I’m always willing to help out with anything that you lads need.” The rest of rehearsal passed quickly, but it allowed Sarah to catch up with everyone before they left. While Keith was practicing his songs, Sarah went over to Jen to ask her about the dream. “So Jen, I have two things to ask you. First of all, have you told Paul, Damian and George yet?” Her eyes widened. “Not yet!” She hissed. “Ryan and I are waiting until after rehearsal to tell them. We figured it would be best, and that way Sharon cannot get mad at them for not concentrating.” “That’s probably the best thing then. But the other thing I wanted to ask you, I need to do in private, especially away from Keith right now.” “Is everything alright with you two?” Jen asked in concern as Sarah nodded. “It’s fine,” she said as they entered the bathroom, probably one of the only places they could go in order to avoid the lads. “So I was taking a nap this morning because I didn’t sleep well last night,” Ok, so that was stretching the truth a little bit, but Sarah wasn’t sure if she wanted Jen to know that Keith accidentally stayed the night just yet. “And I had the most bizarre dream… I only remember bits and pieces of it though,” She began and quickly recounted what she could remember of the dream to Jen. Jen began to think for a moment, trying to figure out the dream, at least a little bit. “Well Sarah, it might not mean anything. It could just be you were missing Keith so it came out in your dream?” “Maybe you’re right. I’m not going to dwell on it though…” Sarah said with a sigh as her phone signaled a text message. Looking at it quickly it read, ‘Hey Sarah, heading out to the spot, see ya soon! <3’ “Well, based on that text I just got from Keith, it looks like rehearsal is over. You just might want to go see Ryan and tell the others the great news!” Jen hung her head, “Don’t remind me. All I know is that Paul, and probably Damian are going to kill us… especially if Keith isn’t around and they find out he already knew.” “I think he might have already left…” “Shoot,” Jen replied as we rushed out of the room to go meet Ryan, and hopefully stop Keith from leaving.
“Keith!” Sarah yelled as she and Jen tried to catch up with them before he left. “What’s up?” he asked, questioningly since he knew that he would be seeing her shortly. Sarah gave a quick head nod towards Jen to try to remind him of what she and Ryan had wanted to tell the others. His eyes opened in remembrance of what they needed to tell them. “Oh shoot, forgot me favorite guitar pick,” Keith quickly added and headed back to the break room. “Hey everyone, before you leave I need tot ell you something.” The group quickly glanced at each other, wondering what was going on. “Well, actually Jen and I need to tell you something.” “We’re engaged,” they said together. “Really?” Paul exclaimed. “Congrats you two!” The others also added in their congratulations, except for Keith who was just standing to the side, nodding and listening to the others. After a few minutes, Paul came over to Keith to ask why he hadn’t said anything to the happy couple. “Why?” Keith began, “I found out the other ni… shoot!” he exclaimed as Paul quickly turned on Ryan. “Ryan… would you care to explain why Keith already knew this ‘interesting fact?’” Ryan began stuttering as Jen gave Keith a death glare. “It was an accident?” he tried. “Accident, smaccident. I can’t believe you told him before us Ryan! Can you believe that Damian?” “No Paul, I can’t believe that,” he said to support Paul, but his eyes were in understanding to Ryan and Jen’s plight. “I’m headin’ out,” Keith quickly interjected, while dragging Sarah along with him, leaving Ryan and Jen to deal with the madness that was about to ensue. “So Sarah, is meeting in an hour good? I have to grab some stuff at home and all.” “Sounds good to me, see you in a bit!” She said as they parted ways to their cars. Sarah quickly drove the ten minutes to her house. As soon as she arrived she tried to figure out what to do to kill time before she had to meet Keith. She quickly grabbed her surfboard and strapped it to the top of her car. After Sarah checked to make sure she had everything ready to go she glanced at the clock on to see she had another forty-five minutes to kill. Sarah knew there was no way she would sit still if she stayed at home, so she decided to go out for a drive before meeting Keith. Starting her car, she decided to head down towards the water anyways. She figured she might as well be near the spot they were meeting at, but she also didn’t want to show up too early. Her beach drive was beautiful. Thankfully she had remembered her camera so she was able to take pictures of the surf. It was just about sunset and with the beauty of the sun setting across the water, hitting the shore at the perfect angle caused many beautiful shots that day. After what felt like twenty minutes, Sarah glanced at her clock only to see the hour was almost up. Rushing back to her car, she drove down the road and quickly saw Keith’s bug parked in its usual parking spot. Sarah parked behind and grabbed her stuff and headed down to their spot, only to find it empty. Sarah glanced around confusedly, only to hear strumming of a guitar. Following the sounds she found Keith in a clearing of the woods near their spot, but still with a beautiful view of the ocean. Keith glanced up and saw her, his eyes lighting up and a dazzling smile crossing his face. Nodding next to him, she quickly walked to the offered seat. Grabbing her camera, she took a picture of Keith, purely in his element. His surfboard against a tree behind him, his guitar case in front of him and his guitar in playing position. His blonde hair was falling gracefully over his eyes, giving him the look of being deep in thought. “What are you thinking about Keef?” Sarah asked with a smile on her face. “Hmm? Oh, about a wonderful young lass, with the most beautiful voice.” “Oh really?” she asked jokingly, “Now who might that be?” “Her? Oh Jen of course!” “Of course…” Sarah replied happily. The two began laughing as Keith put his guitar down. “You up for a sunset surf?” Keith asked, taking her hand. “When am I not?” she replied and they grabbed their boards and headed to the water. The water looked gorgeous and was perfect surfing weather. The two spent about an hour surfing, they would have kept going if it hadn’t gotten too dark to be safe. They headed inland to where Keith had left his guitar, holding hands and laughing the whole way. When they reached the clearing, Keith quickly lay down to watch the stars. “The sky is beautiful tonight,” Keith remarked and patted the ground next to him, inviting Sarah to lie down. She obliged and lay with her head on his arm, and tried to make herself comfortable. They sat in silence for awhile, with Sarah almost constantly fidgeting. “Come on Sarah,” Keith said with a laugh, “get yourself comfortable.” Sarah smiled sheepishly and quickly moved so her head was on his stomach. “You’re so cute, you know that right Sarah?” She blushed and Keith quickly grabbed her hand and began to run his thumb over it. “I love you Sarah, I hope you know that.” “I love you too Keith, always have and always will.” The two sat in silence for awhile more, quietly appreciating the nature surrounding them. This was one thing Sarah truly loved about Keith, he was never one to be indoors, always being outside whenever possible, even in rain. “I wish I didn’t have to leave soon, I don’t want what happened last time to happen again.” “Keith it’s ok, I’m sure we will get through this. It’s only for three months. I want you to follow your dreams. You’ve been working for something like this your whole life. I’m not going to stop you.” “Oh!” Keith exclaimed. “There was something I wanted you to hear. I wrote it about a year ago, but I haven’t let anyone listen to it. Would you care to hear it?” “Care to hear it? I’d love to!” Keith quickly grabbed his guitar and made sure it was in tune. He began the opening and then started to sing, “Walkin’ around early September, saw my home so I’m going to stop. Messin’ around catchin hells here, my own hear just won’ let me stop.” Keith smiled up at her, wondering what she was thinking about it. She looked to be enjoying it so he continued, “Rippin’ it up with the roundin’ re-match, stuck in this dirty city life. Wonderin’ where it all went wrong, my won hear just won’ let me stop.” Keith was beginning to get into his music, it was always wonderful to watch him do what he loved. “Chasin’ dreams all about dear, chasin’ dreams all about, chasin’ dreams, chasin’ dreams all about. “December 19th’s when I just got home, Christmas week was my first surf. Sun was shinin’ but it was, so cold, all that rain and it was worth. Chasin’ dreams all about dear, chasin’ dreams all about. Chasin’ dreams, chasin’ dreams all about, all about…” Keith finished the song and looked up, “Well? What did ya think?” “That was beautiful Keith, I love it! You should sing it at the next festival you go to. Or have the lads listen to it. “Hmm, maybe. You know why I wrote that?” Sarah gave him a questioning look, “No, why?” “I wrote that for you. To explain what happened last time.” “Oh Keith, you shouldn’t have. But, thank you.” She smiled. “I’m going to miss you.” “I’ll miss you too Sarah. Will you come over for one of the shows?” “I’d love to,” she replied and Keith put his arm around her. She snuggled into his warm embrace and sighed contentedly, both wishing that they could stay there, in perfect bliss, forever.

The next few days flew by extremely quickly. Before anyone knew it, it was time for the plane to be leaving. All the lads said sad good-byes to their loved ones, with them all promising to come to a show. Sarah was trying to hold back tears since her boyfriend, her best guy friends, and best girlfriends were all leaving here. Thankfully Sarah had her work to keep her occupied. That first week dragged on so slowly for Sarah. She knew her friends were having a wonderful time, but for Sarah she had work to go to teaching music in high school. Sarah lived for the few times a day she had to talk to Keith. The time difference was especially difficult to talk to the other. About three weeks into tour, Sarah was trying to figure out when she was going to see the show. She tried to call Keith when she knew he would be awake and not busy, yet he did not answer his phone. Sarah left a message, hoping that he would call her back fairly soon. After two hours of waiting for him to call back, she tried again, still with no luck. With tears in her eyes, she went to bed, leaving her phone in the living room because she knew if she brought it with her she would not get any sleep. The next day, Keith called back, but Sarah was in the middle of class so she could not answer. When lunch came around for Sarah she quickly grabbed her phone and listened to the message. “Hey Sarah, sorry about yesterday. Things are getting really busy here. With rehearsal, performances, sleep and everything else I have a song in my head that I’m trying to get out. Give me a call when you get this. I miss you so much. I love you and for me, try to keep ‘er lit.” The message ended bringing tears back to her eyes. Sarah had no idea what was going on right now. She and Keith had just reconnected about a month ago, but everything was going so well, but now that he left for tour, the same type of thing was beginning to happen again. Trying to shake off the feeling, she went back to her class. Thankfully the rest of the day went by fairly quickly and as soon as Sarah got home she let her voice take over, singing anything she could in order to get her emotions in check, wondering if she should call Keith. While she was contemplating this, her phone began to ring. “Hello?” she asked, hoping her voice sounded steady. “Hey Sarah! It’s Damian. How are you doing?” “Damian!” she exclaimed. “I’m doing quite well, how are you?” “Excellent! Tour is wonderful this year! Especially with no huge ties to worry about,” he said through a smile. “That’s wonderful Damo. Well, I was going to talk to Jen about this, but I’ll ask you, which concert should I come over for?” “All of them!” he said through a laugh, “but since you have to teach, how about,” he paused as a shuffling from papers was heard in the background, “Chicago, St. Louis, Denver, LA, Seattle, Portland, or Nashville? Those are the bigger cities, and depending on how soon you want to come.” “Thanks Damo, I’ll talk to Jen and figure that out later.” “What about talking to Keith?” “Well I would…” she began, “but the only problem is whenever I call him he never answers, and rarely calls me back. Any idea why?” “That’s very odd. I’m extremely sorry about that. I honestly have no idea why, but I’ll ask him for you and get back to ya. I should get going too. Sorry Sarah…” “It’s fine Damian. That would mean a lot if you asked him though. Have a great time tonight! Talk to you soon!” She responded and hung up the phone. ‘Well,’ she thought, ‘that was odd. Damian can find time to call, yet Keith can’t…’ Before she got extremely upset she grabbed her phone and called Jen. That way she could still go, and if needed talk to Keith about what was going on. “Hey Jen, I know you probably don’t have long, but I was wondering what show I should come over for?” “Hasn’t Keith mentioned it to you yet?” “No… don’t get me started right now.” Concerned, Jen continued, “Well, can you come to two shows?” “I think so, they would have to be close together though…” “How about Denver and LA then? We’ve got your tickets and all covered, Sharon will give you details about the airfare, probably though email. And we’ll be there to pick you up. Sound good?” “Sounds great! Can’t wait to see you.” Jen agreed and they hung up. Settling in for another night by herself, Sarah grabbed a movie and some chocolate, wishing that Keith could be with her once more.
Luckily for Sarah, the days flew by leading up to when she was going to the States to see the lads again. Right before she boarded her plane she gave the others a call so they knew she was leaving. The ride passed by fairly quickly with Sarah sleeping for most of it. The few times she was awake she was constantly thinking of Keith and how she would face him. She still had barely heard from him and had no idea why. Damian had tried to talk to him but he couldn’t help her. Hoping it was nothing too serious, she drifted back to sleep. Finally the plane landed and Sarah was able to disembark. She quickly got off and was able to see George’s head right away. With a smirk, she ran over to him and hugged him from behind, startling him. “Sarah!” he yelled and engulfed her in one of his infamous bear hugs. “It’s so good to see you again. Things have not bee the same, I hope you can join us for the next tour.” “I hope so too. Are the others here?” “Yeah, Paul and Ryan are somewhere around here. Keith and Damian had to rehearse though.” “Go figure…” Sarah mumbled. Sarah began to search through the crowd until she spotted spiky brown hair. As Sarah was sneaking up on Paul, she was hugged from behind, severely startling her. Spinning around, she saw Ryan and shouted his name, only to then be hugged from behind, in the middle of a Ryan and Paul sandwich. Sarah, George, Ryan, and Paul quickly caught up on everything that had happened since before tour. The ride to the hotel passed fairly quickly, with Sarah not wanting to bring up Keith, even though she longed to know if everything was alright with him. When they arrived at the hotel, Sarah was extremely nervous, she had no idea where she and Keith stood, and she had not talked to him in awhile now. Taking a deep breath, she walked in with the other lads and they brought her up to her room. She was sharing a room with Jen and Alanna, but neither of them were around. Sighing, she knew she had to go and face her fear. She walked downstairs only to be greeted by Damian. “Hey Damian! How are you?” “I’m great!” he said as he gave her a hug, “Just finished part of rehearsal and was told to come get you.” “Aw, thanks Damian,” she replied and took his offered arm to follow him to where they were rehearsing. Right as they were about to enter the room, Keith waked out, stopping Sarah in her tracks. Damian quickly stepped inside the room as Sarah said, “Keith…”

“Hi Sarah, Keith said as they stood facing the other, neither knowing what to do. They both glanced towards their feet and began to talk at once. “Look, Sarah,” “Keith, what on…” He shook his head, “Go on, you say it first,” he told Sarah. Taking a deep breath, she began, “Keith, what on earth is going on? You never would call, never told me when you wanted me to come over here. Sure I am here, but you can thank Damian and Jen for that. Seriously, can you explain what is going on?” Sarah could see the hurt expression on Keith’s face, but she didn’t know what to do until she heard what he had to say. “Look Sarah,” Keith began again, “I’m so sorry. I should have done better in staying in contact with you. I am so sorry... I still love you.” Sarah could feel a slight smile coming over her face. She tried to hide it, but that didn’t work. The grin quickly lit up her face, and she replied, “I love you too Keith. I just have on request.” “Anything.” “Would you please stay in touch better for the rest of the tour?” She smiled sheepishly as Keith grinned. “Of course,” he breathed and quickly engulfed Sarah in a hug. “Trust me Sarah. I will stay in touch with you.” Keith leaned down and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Releasing her from the hug he extended his hand, which she quickly accepted. Hand-in-hand they walked into the room where the others were. “Sarah!” Jen and Alanna yelled when she walked in the room. They quickly gave her a hug which she gladly returned. Jen glanced towards Keith and gave a questioning look. Sarah mouthed later and she continued to catch up with the other lads. The show came upon them all before they knew it. It was the night of the Denver show and the crowd was supposed to be fantastic. Sarah had wonderful seats, they were front row and she was sitting with Alanna and Jen who did not need to work that night since Sarah was there. Dave came out and said his infamous announcement about the weather, which set the crowd to cheering. The band filed out, with them all looking quite happy. The lights lowered, and the music began. Ryan’s voice was magical and full of mystery. Sarah glanced over at Jen to see a huge grin on her face. After Ryan finished his solo, the lads all filed out, with Keith in the middle. He began to sing and Sarah was lost in the magic of his voice. Heartland ended too suddenly, and Keith quickly shrugged off his jacket, handing it to George. He grabbed his guitar, gave a kick, and began ‘Castles in the Air.’ Throughout the song it appeared that Keith was looking for someone. As Sarah and Keith’s eyes met, he grinned, and began directing most of the lyrics to her. Everytime he looked away from her, it did not last long and he quickly would glance back at Sarah. The next few songs went by without a hitch, and it was easy to see that they were having so much fun. After ‘Danny Boy,’ Keith came back out, with a guitar. Sarah looked at Jen and Alanna, but they just nodded towards Keith who began ‘Homes of Donegal.’ Sarah had always loved this song, and hearing it live made it even better, especially with Keith singing it. Keith was having a wonderful time on stage because he was messing with the words, just like he would with all his original songs. The three girls kept sharing looks during this song, especially when Keith would look down at Sarah. Damian’s version of ‘A Bird Without Wings’ that night had Sarah in tears. He sang it so beautifully and it had always been one of her favorite songs. When ‘Take Me Home’ began, it was easy to see that the lads were beginning to grow homesick, especially George. They had been away fro so long that they longed to go home. The three girls shared many looks with the lads, hoping to encourage them to know they would be home soon. As intermission started, Sarah was in shock. This wasn’t her first time seeing them sing, but when they sang for an audience, they loved it. Most of the time she only heard them in rehearsal, and this was ten times better. The three girls started discussing how great the show was so far. They were joined in conversation by some of those around them, all wondering if they were from Ireland. They began talking about Ireland with them, and after a few minutes the lights dimmed, and the band came back out. “Go Neil and Declan!” Jen, Alanna, and Sarah yelled as they came out, hoping to start something for them, which it did. The two grinned and winked towards the girls. The chords to ‘Heartbreaker’ began, and Jen was glued to her seat. As Ryan yelled, “Welcome to the Pleasure Dome!” he looked right at Jen with a smirk on his face, causing her to blush and fake glare at him. Paul, Damian, and George did wonderful on the next few songs. ‘Lauren and I’ was next, and Sarah knew how much this song meant to Keith. To be able to perform a song that you wrote in front of a large audience means everything for a performer. Keith came out with a huge smile on his face, though Sarah wasn’t sure if that was due to the song or something else. As Sarah’s eyes took in what Keith was wearing, he could feel her jaw drop. His shirt was perfect, it was white and very form fitting. It looked great on him, and his pants, they were shiny, and shiny pants or suits were great. As he began to sing, it overpowered the theater and sounded amazing. Like before, Keith could not take his eyes off of Sarah, almost as if she were Lauren, but maybe in his mind she was? Sarah tried to stop thinking about that and was content to listen to the music, Keith’s beautiful music. The song ended too quickly, and before Sarah knew it, ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’ began. As Keith sang the chorus, he changed up his choreography, for that night only, and pointed at Sarah, causing her eyes to open and her to blush, but she nodded subtly through a smile. The rest of the show was wonderful and when it came time for the kilt flips, they were the best they had ever seen, which caused the three girls to laugh but also blush and cheer. The song ended and they came out for bows, receiving a standing ovation. Sarah was watching Keith, and as he left the stage he did this jump kick, which was hysterical, but so Keith. As the lights came back on, they headed towards the door to let them backstage in order to congratulate the lads on a job well done. As they entered the door, Ryan spotted Jen and came over and spun her around. As he set down, he asked what we thought. “It was beautiful!” we exclaimed. “I loved ‘Every Breath You Take,’ and ‘That’s a Woman!’ Sarah told him, as she felt arms encircle her from behind.
Glancing at the arms, Sarah saw a very familiar ring, causing her to grin. “Hi Keith,” she said as she turned around in his arms in order to give him a hug. “Well? What did you think/” he asked with a smile on his face. She shrugged, “Coulda’ been better.” She tried not to crack up laughing. When Keith saw her face he began to tickle her which caused her to say, “Oh fine! It was absolutely amazing. ‘Lauren and I’ was gorgeous, and did you really have to do that during ‘I Want to Know What Love is?’ It’s going to be the talk of the pub!” The pub was the online chatroom that was the home of the thunderheads. The lads would occasionally go in, but not all the time. “Well, I had to because it’s true,” he replied with a little smirk on his face. Sarah grinned and started to blush. Keith turned to the others. “So, after M&G’s, do we all want to head out to dinner somewhere?” Ryan, Alanna, Jen, and Sarah glanced at each other and replied, “Sure! But where would we be going?” Keith thought for a moment, “Well, there’s always a pub. I’m sure there must be quite a few here in Denver.” “We’ll have to see if the others want to go too, like Neil, Ruth, Joyce, Brendan, Deco, Dave and whomever else wants to go.” Ryan said as he headed off to find George. “Alanna and I need to go help clean up the merchandise table, we’ll see you guys on the bus when we are done?” Keith and Sarah glanced at each other and nodded as the two left for the lobby. Keith wrapped his arm around Sarah’s shoulders and began to head towards his guitars. He quickly picked up his McPherson in one hand and held the other out to Sarah. As she came over to him, he wrapped his arm around her and they walked towards the buses. Thankfully no one was around the buses, how that happened, they had no idea. They put Keith’s guitars with his other stuff and went to find Sarah a bed to put her stuff down. “I still can’t believe you did that,” Sarah said to Keith as she sat down on what was now her bed for the next few days. “I already told you why I did,” he replied, giving her puppy dog eyes. Sarah smiled and motioned for him to sit next to her. Keith happily obliged and sat down, wrapping his arms around her. They sat together in silence and happiness, content to be with each other again and relieved that everything was fine between them again. After a few minutes they heard the door to the bus open, they headed out to greet the others and figure out plans for that night. “Hey George, Ryan, any ideas for plans tonight?” Keith asked as they greeted each other. Ryan and George glanced at each other, “Not really,” George replied. “We could just wander the town until we find somewhere…” The others shrugged, “Sounds good to me,” Keith said as Sarah nodded. “Hey Paul!” Ryan said as Paul walked onto the bus. “How were Meet and Greets?” Paul shrugged, “Normal,” he replied with a chuckle and turned. “Sarah!” he exclaimed and rushed over to give her a hug. “How have you been?” Sarah glanced at Keith, “Quite good now that I’m here.” The group continued talking until Sarah asked, “Where’s Damian?” Everyone turned to look at Paul. His eyes opened in surprise and he held up his hands in an innocent pose. “I have no idea! Last I saw him was during M&G’s. I told him I was heading back to the bus and he said he would be there in a few minutes.” George glanced at his watch, “well you came back about fifteen minutes ago. But where might he be…?” The others glanced at each other and shrugged. “Do you think he got stopped by fans?” Keith asked as they all glanced outside the bus windows only to see no one outside. “Maybe we should go out and look for him…” Sarah said as they began to bundle up to brace the cold weather.
