Ending 2
*Thanks to my wonderful friend Calier for this idea... I wasn't sure if I liked the ending so she gave me a few thoughts and it worked*
Amelia missed Damian something terrible.
I mean, sure, she knew he would come back and it would be okay, but... she missed her best friend. She went along with her life, but she just couldn't pull herself out of her funk.
I watched her mope around for a while, but I just didn't know what to do to make her seem alive again. So I began asking around, getting the craziest ideas that I could out of people. I hated to see one of my characters so depressed. She didn't do anything she had promised Ewan or Damian, which was too bad, because for a while there, I actually believed in her.
Maybe her depression was my fault. As the author, I should have been able to revive her and make her happy again, right? I mean, I tried. But anyone reading the Ending 1, Part B could realize that they broke up. I mean, that's where it was headed, obviously. Damian and Amelia were never meant to be. I never meant them to be, and as the author, I have ultimate choice. Besides, who wants to read another romance on this site, anyway (that's obviously rhetorical, I love the romances—don't stop!)?
But she didn't stop.
She moped.
And moped.
So I decided to do something about it. Once and for all.
Amelia was sitting on her couch, ignoring her homework and just staring blankly at the tv. She couldn't care less who got kicked off of Survivor and honestly couldn't even tell me what happened during the episode. She was being the epitome of a couch potato that day, and she didn't care about anything. Damian was gone, Keith was in Australia, Conor was weird and she didn't like him, Maddie had drifted almost immediately, and Ewan was on a date—too far away to tell her to straighten up. So she sat.
She changed the channel and blinked in surprise. “What's this?”
A door was on the screen. She watched it for a moment before deciding to change the channel.
Before she could, I shouted, “No! Wait!”
Amelia jumped up like she had been stung and glanced around. “What? Who was that?”
“I'm on the other side of the door.” I peeked my head around and stared at her.
Amelia took me in: My messy bun, my cutoff shorts, my tank top, my laptop. “Who are you?”
“I'm...” I bit my lip. “You may call me your guardian angel, I suppose. I'm here to save you.”
She laughed bitterly. “I don't need to be saved.”
“Yes, you do.” I tried to stare her down but she was avoiding my glance. “You need to be saved from yourself. Trust me, depression is no road you want to go down. I have for you a second chance.”
Amelia frowned. “Why am I even talking to the tv? I'm going crazy.” She picked up the remote to turn the tv off.
“No, stop! Please. Just...walk here. Trust me. Walk through the door.” I could feel my desperation rising. If she turned off the tv, she would be lost forever to her depression and I don't think I could do that, lose a character that way. Amelia was mine and I would save her.
Amelia hesitated and took a tiny step forward, and then another one. “Oh, what the heck,” she muttered, before jumping at the tv and soaring through headfirst. She landed on the ground where I stood and I smiled at her. “Wha... what do I do now?” she asked breathlessly.
I snapped and a door appeared. “Go through it.”
She gave me a strange glance before muttering, “Craziest dream I've ever had,” and marching over to the door, grabbed the handle and pulled with all of her might. The door swung open, creaking heavily on its hinges, letting Amelia walk through without another word.
She stepped out into bright sunshine and squinted, glancing around. All she was for miles was grass and a few trees here and there. The wind was blowing gently and it was very peaceful. She breathed in the air and smiled, confused but still happy.
“Princess?” she heard from behind her.
Whirling, Amelia broke out into a smile. “Damian!” she cried, launching herself at him. “I've missed you so!”
He laughed and hugged her back. “I've missed you, too.” Releasing her, he rubbed a hand across his forehead and shook his head, flabbergasted. “What is this place?”
“I don't know. My guardian angel told me to walk through the tv and then through this door, and here I am.” Amelia laughed and I laughed with her. Guardian angel, indeed.
“I walked through a door, too.” Damian still looked puzzled. “But I was just going to go sing for the bottom three...” His face turned red. “I mean, I was going to perform. For the show.”
Amelia nodded, not really paying attention. She grabbed his hand. “Where do you think we are?”
“Well...” He took in a deep breath. “If I remember correctly from primary school, this looks like what the African plains looked like. Meaning wild animals.”
Amelia grinned, not frightened in the least. “Cool.”
Damian gave her an incredulous look. “We might as well look around.”
I watched them walk around for a while before growing bored. Going back to my Calier, I asked what additional things she wanted, besides a mysterious door.
Calier answered almost immediately. “I want them to find out gorillas took over the world.”
Going to my characters, I stood in front of them, making them both jump. “Hello,” I said crisply. “You are currently trapped in a figment of imagination.”
Damian and Amelia glanced at each other.
“You're probably wondering where you are within the figment,” I continued. Pulling out my iPod, I brought up the internet and got a picture of the African plains (Damian is actually quite smart, I think). “Here. You are here, exactly.” I motioned around. “And do you know what happened here? Why it's so quiet?”
They both shook their heads.
I smiled. “Come.” I snapped and another door appeared, this one rather more ornate than the last one. “You must walk through this door.”
Damian shrugged and pulled Amelia towards the door. They walked through and I followed.
“Whoa!” Amelia exclaimed. “The city. It's empty. And silent.”
Nodding, I directed their attention to a building to my right. “In there you will find answers.”
Damian grinned. “Come on,” he prompted, tugging on Amelia's hand. “Let's get some answers.”
I followed them quietly, amused by Damian's sense of adventures and, judging by the way Amelia was dragging her feet, her lack thereof.
Damian opened the door of the building I had mentioned and we all went in. He walked around the corner and stopped suddenly, making Amelia and me both run into his back (Oh, to be so close as to be able to do that... sorry not sorry xD ). “Gorillas,” he managed to get out of his mouth before turning to face us. “There are gorillas in here.”
I pulled from my pocket the fish from 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'. “Here, use this.” Grabbing his head, I forced the fish into his ear, to his consternation and Amelia's half fright, half amusement.
He jumped back from me as soon as I let him go, his eyes wide.
“Now you can understand them, and they can understand you.” I motioned towards the room we were next to. “Go on. Talk to them.”
Damian blinked once, twice, before turning and walking into the room, Amelia close behind him. “Hi, my name's Damian,” he said nervously.
They all looked at him.
“I'm Emperor Gillesby,” came a voice from the corner of the room.
We all glanced towards him. Amelia looked very confused and she looked at me. “Can you understand?”
I nodded. “I have a fish.”
“What is going on here?” Damian asked after a moment's uncertainty.
The gorilla, known as Emperor Gillesby, said, “The gorillas have taken over the world.”
“What?” exploded from the normally calm boy.
“We have taken your homes, your people. Your transportation. Your lives.” The gorilla smiled. “You have options now, young man. You must choose between them for all of your sakes.”
Damian glanced nervously at Amelia and held her hand tightly. “What are they?”
“Option one: Stay here and die.”
Damian shook his head.
“Option two: Go back through the second door and stay in the plains forever.”
“Forever?” I asked, horrified. “He can't. I mean, Amelia could, since she is mine and mine alone, but Damian has to go back to performing and living in the real world.”
Amelia looked frightened. “What is happening?”
Damian relayed everything to her quietly.
The gorilla shrugged. “Option three: Go back with the author here. Live your boring life. Be separated.”
I winced as Damian whirled to face me. “You're an author? You orchestrated our lives? You're going to separate us?!” he all but roared.
I shrugged weakly. “I couldn't figure out a way for you both to live so far apart and yet live together.”
“You could've made us happy, at least!” Damian said, almost pleading with me, all his anger dissipating at my apparent discomfort. “Can't you give us that? Can't we be together in some way?”
Amelia tugged on Damian's sleeve. “Do you want that?” she asked, her eyes shining with unshed tears.
He nodded. “With all my heart.”
Amelia nodded, crisp, businesslike. “Tell them we'll take option two.”
Damian looked at her in surprise. “But we'll have to live on the plains forever.”
“If we go back, we'll be separated. Who knows. We could get together, or not at all, or break up, or even maybe not meet each other.” Amelia's eyes begged with him before she turned to me. “You're the author. Can't you do something?”
I frowned and thought. “I blame Calier,” I said grumpily before waving my hand. “There.”
They glanced down at their clothes and Damian looked at me, his eyes wide. “No. No, no, no, no, you can't.”
I smiled. “It's a wedding. Everyone wants a wedding at the end of a Nox story, right? I'll make the readers happy.”
“I'm too young!” he protested before turning to Amelia. His eyes softened as he took in her dress. “You look beautiful.”
“You look... nice,” she said, fear visible in her eyes.
Damian suddenly laughed. “You know what? The author is right. Let's just do this.” Picking her up, bride style, and minding her veil, he marched her out of the house the gorillas were now residing in and over to the door. “Come on. Let's go back.”
I placed a hand on his arm. “I'm sorry, but before we can do that, Calier demands a rooftop wedding.”
“Why not?” he shrugged. “Come on, Princess. Let's get married. Isn't this how all fairy tales end?”
“And annoyingly romantic fan fictions,” I added. Without another thought, I poofed us up to a rooftop. “We'll need a preacher.” Boom. “And your best man and maid of honor.” Instantly, Keith and Maddie were there. Because who else? “And Ewan, Damian, Sr., and Joanna.”
Damian smiled. “I guess we're all here.”
“Why does the ring bearer have to be a gorilla?” Amelia complained.
“Because I ran out of people and there are lots of gorillas here,” I explained. “Let's begin.”
All in all, it was a beautiful wedding. There was lots of crying and startled gasps from people who had no idea what was going on (that would be everyone but Calier, myself included). But it was lovely. The Beatles were there, as per Calier's wishes. They did the wedding march and continued to play througout the entire reception, making it hard to hear. Paul accidentally fell off the roof and a gorilla had to take his place, which is why the Beatles disbanded in the first place. A lot of people cried and gasped, startled, when Paul died, but they all got over it quickly (except Calier).
The kiss was pretty. Movie pretty. I was kind of grossed out, though, because they were my characters, and I felt like I was watching children kiss. Not only that, but I suck at writing kisses between my characters, so seeing it was even weirder. It made me realize I need to work on my kissing scene writings.
When the wedding was over, Damian grabbed Amelia's hand. “Want to go back?”
She nodded. “Let's go live our life together.”
I rolled my eyes, muttered, “How disgustingly romantic,” and brought another door up: this one the most ornate out of all. It must have costs millions of dollars to make. Damian grasped the handle and pulled. And pulled again. “It won't open,” he said, frustrated.
Emperor Gillesby appeared next to him, smiling wickedly. “A wedding was never an option. Now you will have to face the consequences. By refusing to take the other two options, you automatically forfeited and must do option one. Death.”
I watched, horrified, as the evil gorilla swung his fist at Damian's face. “Noooooooooo,” I yelled, my voice sounded very far off. I realized everything was in slow motion. “Youuu cannn''tttttt killlll himmmmmmm. Nottt myyyyy Damooooooo!”
But he did.
They died. Right after their wedding.
And then the rest of the Beatles were replaced.
Ewan got away and married Pat, who helped him cope.
But everyone else died. Even Keith. HAHA TAKE THAT CALIER. KEITH AND PAUL DIED
Fin. XD
I hope you enjoyed the best ending ever
Mwahahaha

This was definitely the most interesting ending I've seen on Nox!! hahahaha Caught up between crying from the first part of the update (which was really touching), and laughing at the nonsensical ending! Definitely a fun ride, and not at all something I would have expected! So kudo's for that one! Though I am sure Kailer had a bit to do with that. haha
